Going to be cool after watching the Suzuka 10H tomorrow.

My favorite track with my favorite Gr. 4. :)

Dare I say, Yamigawa is with the Copen.

For some reason I decided to do Race C... again. And again with the R92CP. I qualified P11/19 on a mixed grid of DR/B, C and D. The system must really be struggling to fill the grid, because it was also a mix of SR/S, A and B :crazy:. Oddly enough I didn't notice any dirty driving.

The race starts and I'm kinda tired of getting dumped in the chicane instead of the start/finish strait. I drop a few places negotiating the last and first chicane, but somehow I get through with no penalties. That came when I hit the first chicane on Mulsanne. It seems people have found their tunes, because I wasn't catching people anywhere near as quickly on the straits :odd:.

My main focus was to not spin out, end up in the kitty litter or have any collisions. I wasn't doing too badly. I pitted P7 on lap 3 (at one stage it said P4) and came out P9 with an orange SR under auto drive. I can only assume it was something to do with not staying on the track properly entering the pits. I had no collisions. All race I had for the most part stayed on the course correctly , but I did have a couple of times I struggled with the second chicane on Mulsanne and seemed to find everything between the track and the sand. Just glad there was no traffic around :scared:. The guy in P10 was a long way behind, but my struggles in the chicane gave him many seconds to catch up. The lime green Tomahawk passed me under the Porsche sign. Then tragedy struck. Despite having managed fairly comfortably for 4 laps, and despite the massive run out aria, I locked up the rear and ended up in the sand at Corvette :banghead:. I didn't loose position, but the time lost meant that I didn't gain the position I would have from the 8s penalty the guy ahead of the Tomahawk was carrying. P10 it is. P9 was my goal, but such is life <sigh>.

So, the SR I lost last night I regained, and DR up about 100. I didn't win (because everyone else in the race that was ahead of me were obviously cheating scum bags), but I suppose I'll just have to take it :p. Another day above DR 1 :dopey:.

I enjoy starting 16th to 19th. It's nicely out in the country with a great view of the ferris wheel, so quiet and peaceful watching the wheel turn before the mayhem begins :)

I'm still DR.A, 'only' lost 1.8K DR from quitting after a very early braker, penalty server or someone out of fuel driving in the middle of the pit lane ended my race. (got reset back on track after the inevitable happened) He was already down in the pit lane in the distance when I came up, impossible to judge speeds when the distance is still so big.

So ended my attempt with the tuned R18, bit late to the party as in the fast rooms it seems it's all tuned cars now at the front, mostly R18s and some 919s. With the R92CP I didn't come closer than 10th anymore. Tuned R18, 5th. The spread was still A+/S to D/S, although only very few D/S, a couple 'chosen' ones to pad out the grid.

SR down to 92 from quitting, clipping the stalled car in the pit lane while trying to avoid and getting banged around in the first lap. I expected worse.
 
Is it just me or is GT's server having a bad time today??? Already had like 3 random disconnections in dailies.
 
Let's see if Ford GT takes over Suzuka too next week :D
 
I mean the other race we ended up 7 people racing...

B GR.4 DT Gardens 5 laps
C GR.3 Suzuka 10 laps

A, B no thanks, C is more fun in GR.2 (Although a full week with only 3 cars would get boring as well)

with tuning other cars will be competitive easily
without tuning I'm not sure, Ford should have problem with 1st part of track (SSS)

remember that there will be tire wear too, I think Lancer might be good

Wowwww, Another week of no Sport Mode for me. I had some Le Mans to break up a 3 week hiatus, now we are back to the same stuff again.

Why can't we have some insane car for Race A? like the McLaren F1? I would play the s*** out of that. Can't even tell you.

And as much as I agree re: Gr.2, until they fix the fuel consumption, the race C's are always dominated by that Lexus.

PD please...
 
Though I have come to terms with the weekly races, next week I am definitely going to drive a lot less next week. Absolutely hate Suzuka with a passion, except in GR. 2 where its tolerable.

PD seems to be going with the most popular tracks in the weeklies, which makes sense. But means also that my most favourite tracks (Blue Moon, BB Raceway, Monza), will show up maybe twice a year each if I am lucky...
 
Whooo! I just put up the #18 time in the region for Race C. Personal best for me by far.

Did race in 17:36 approx, started P2 (qually 3:22.5), ended P1. Lap times were 1st, 3:35, other 4 around 3:29, 3:30, tire wear kicks hard in lap 5. Top speed was 355 without draft on first streight. Shift point was 4.75-4.8k, keeping it always in gear higher through turn, then downshift for accel. 1st gear I used only at turns Arnage and Mulsane, through Porsche curves in 5th, then downshift 3rd when exiting towards Corvette chicanes.

Gears in kph (shift up speed):
200 (140)
260 (180)
320 (230)
370 (265)
415 (295)
490
Divide by 1.6 for mph

Also for tire wear set Brake Balance to 4, even 5 if you can handle it... At the end I ended with 3 liters of fuel left :)

Ah, the tyre wear isn't that much of a problem for me, maybe at the Porsche curves. I might have a little problem with your set up, but I haven't tried to go through turns in a higher gear.
My setup is kind of similar, but more based on to reach all gears.

Brake balance is on 0, any different is just going to be painful for me.
Car height is 78/77
And downforce is almost completely going for top speed, with having more downforce at the rear to get through the corners.
 
Tried joining 3 races, get disconnected from server every time.
4th one blue screens me..
Guess no races for me today, must be a sign:lol:

i like when A/S races end up with people trying to murder each other on the few last corners , and both end up with a B rating

It's the new penalty system that gives way to ramming. They probably got -sr for going off track lol
 
Ugh I qualified for race C as matchmaking was being stupid again. So I went from a terribly messy back field to getting hit by corner cutters. I was leading the race, last lap begins, .5 sec ahead for Dunlop, 3rd bumps second past me ignoring the second half of dunlop while he follows between the yellow and the blue as well. In 3rd while taking the corner correctly... He bumped me earlier in the last turn, carrying speed from cutting the first part. It's so broken now, plus that send me down to SR.A. Got a penalty from someone else bumping into me earlier.

Note the guy with the red D. He bumped me off the track, punted me in Mulsanne, rammed on the straight, cut corners to overtake, which made 3rd place catch up that bumped and crashed me into the wall in the porsche curves. The front is dirtier than the back! Second place driver is awesome!

Praying for a kei car in Race A next week. I don't like the Gardens layout and ten laps of plodding around Suzuka in 12th isn't appealing at all.
 
Could be the S-FR. Haven't seen that in a while. Completed a trial race in 6:57.196. Took me 7:38.629 to complete 3 laps in the Copen
 
Tried twice at Race B today.

Started 4th in the 1st race, got knocked around about half way through lap 1. Mistake free the rest of the way but barely finished near last.

Got pole in the 2nd race. There was a jam at the beginning behind me, gave me about 2 seconds ahead of everyone else. Didn't need to check my rear view mirror after lap 2.

Equaled out I guess. Crazy luck.
 
When does these new "dailyes" chance? Monday? It's a shame we don't have more sport players that we could have rosters for dailyes, weeklies, short/long races with every classes and that's not getting better as game gets older playerbase shortens every month. Maybe this is a good lesson too for PD that this game was not so well done as they might think of. Probably not.

Been off 3 months and now worried about penaltysystem if there can do everything without penalty but got to go for Suzuka because autumn is here and I love it.
 
Law of Diminishing Returns. It took me 10 minutes to set a 1:55.751 on Race B with the Lexus, but it's been 3 days of me trying since and can't surpass that time (I've been literally 1/1000ths close so many times now but not best it), let alone shave off 4/10ths to make it into the Top 10. I've tried the R.S. 01 and the GT to no avail. Grrr :irked:
Here's my lap if you're willing to give a bit of advice :O
 
Did Tsukuba which I’ve won at before in the street cars. Battling in seventh with guy hot on me for maybe 3 laps. I was gaining bit by bit on 6th
Ultimately unable to close. Surprised at the times being as quick as they were. Guess people were practicing all week OR I suck with awd.
They should toss in a rally once in a while. The ultimate challenge to get a clean race!
