Race A is a total waste. Which is unfortunate because the real world boundaries for that course are actually really fun to drive. It's not fun to knowingly cheat a course in order to simply remain competitive but competitive people will do whatever they can get away with. That blame falls solely on PD there.

I may just stick to Spider-Man this week until the tracks get reset.

No one's gonna complain about track limits on Race C? It's scary that people are getting used to this to the point that only more extreme extensions get noticed...

I've done a 2:04.713 for Race C without cutting/extending Turn 4 and the esses in Maggiore, but I don't have the motivation to play. I'm grinding my alt account but that stopped after 3 races. Man I'm not feeling it today

I don't think that T4 wide cut is a problem, the esses i can agree on, with certain cars you can get insane exits!

Since GT5, I don't care for GT mode (career) because it isn't challenging with a few exceptions here and there. But ai understand that lots of people have the opposite opinion.

PD just has to make the online more appealing, which is becoming harder and harder to do in a market filled with good racing games (AC and ACC, PC2, Forzas, etc).

My motto is to enjoy it while I can. :D

I think AC, ACC and PC are a bit TO sim for me. GTS kind sits on it's own between sim and arcade with a more "pick up n play" feel. PD just need to sort out making it more attractive to the masses.

This is their first venture into this, so although we may not see this GT nail it, hopefully future releases with have a better "sport" mode, because of what they have learnt with this title.

I'm loving GTS though. Best one by far imo, and I'm old school from GT1 back in the day.

At first track limits didn't seem that big of an issue, but they seem to have grown and grown... it's pretty disappointing how poorly they are doing their 'due diligence'

I didn't really notice anyone abusing the limits in Race C yesterday, but maybe I just lucked into some good rooms, or I'm too used to it now =\

Yeah exactly. Game development takes decades nowadays. So whenever someone starts from scratch you have to understand that the new direction can't immediately accomplish everything immediately.

In my races in race C everybody was on track behaving themselves. The infamous turn4 wasn't being cut (lol) and the esses weren't being abused.

Had some damn good racing there last night. Some super respectful door to door clean racing right through the grid.

Agree 100% with the last paragraph. Especially because I love the livery editor and photomode. I've lost count to how many hours a I've put into these features, let alone sport mode. ^^

I have your livery for the GT3 Aston (red with the watch logo). Very nice work. I've also spent hours upon hours in the livery editor myself.

Roll on 5 o'clock when I finish work. I'm getting race withdrawal symptoms lol.

Why PD insists to have different track limits for FIA and 'daily' races is beyond me. FIA track limits can be too tight, but if it's good for FIA, it should be good enough for 'dailies' as well.

@Mr616

That's the livery I've spent most time on. Glad someone is using it ^^

Yep same here :)

Just had a clean win at Blue Moon. It is possible.

That is actually my challenge for the day today, hopefully be able to show a video of a clean win at Blue Moon later!

Yeah apparently T4 wide is a bit slower than the normal uncut/unextended line, but it still looks ridiculous that people are extending it like it's RBR T1. It doesn't help that the fastest Top 10 here uses the same line

This. One can only blame the player for choosing to abuse the track limits for so long, if even at all. By allowing such extensions in the first place, it creates a catch-22 problem where if anyone wants to have a decent time or pace around a track they need to abuse the track limits like everyone else. Sure, it is indeed disappointing when players do this, but I can see why they do

That makes me curious if these extensions are as prevailent in EU. I'll get on in a bit to see

Edit: Ahhh, EU. The pinnacle of clean racing :) no extensions whatsoever in this region at all! If there's any extension it's probably because they made a mistake and went too wide. If anything I look like a lunatic sheep for still cutting the deeply banked right hander and going too wide at T4 for the first couple of laps  I'm trying to tuck it in to not extend, but I'd lose too much momentum if I let go off the gas. In the next laps I just binned it and went for another line instead to keep myself from running wide

For the most part I was in 5th/4th having a front row seat to an amazing battle just ahead of me :) Didn't really want to battle in the later half because I know I'm slower in the NSX and it's not worth, but I rose up from 6th to 3rd :D

Also had @bone_tone in the same lobby. Good to see you bud

Dumb luck was on my side last race. The Megane ahead of me was maybe 2-3 seconds ahead on the final straight but had a .4 second penalty. He served it before the finish but he had a hard time getting back up to speed and I ended up passing him and winning by .135 seconds. A bit of hollow victory since he had the measure of me all race despite me starting on pole. I'll take it though, I've been itching to get that first win this week with the WRX.

My results have been 2 3 2 2 2 3 1 so far. I hope I can get to A+ one of these days.

I have not seen any other WRX in the lobbies yet which is gratifying for me. I got the ideal strategy nailed down for this car I think, but I highly doubt I can do a no stop race with it though. The front tires take too much of a beating, I really wish I could send more power to the rear wheels like on the N300 WRX Sti.

Good to see you too, although I didn't get to see too much of anybody, as I started so far back

Enjoyed the view from the rear though, until I got rammed into the car in front of me on the last lap of my third race - we both got 3 second penalties, the guy who hit us got none! I had made up a few places by catching up with, and passing, some of the non-stoppers, but obviously one of them wasn't too happy about it.

Almost down to SR B now, so I might end up in a race where I'm not at the back later....

I'm also SR B at present so I might end up in your races as getting online in hopefully about 30 - 40 mins time and hoping to improve
SR!

Tuesday/Wednesday night I was a little sleepless, so I switch on the PS4 and discovered other sleepless and FAIR/CORRECT players of GT Sport

Yesterday I was in holiday so I did many races during the day, i noticed that in the morning and in the first afternoon the possibility to
meet clean and correct racer (at the top position) is high...

late morning ..

Note:
I did 5/10 of this race alone in third position till the end.
One of the following guys, with the EVO, wasn't been capable to reach me but at the end of the race I was accused by him to be unfair (
you're "looser" "unfair " etc etc) ..
I preferred to avoid unusefull fight/rages ...

The only victory at this moment for this week, I won with the LANCER EVO and a livery GTA5 inspired :D

Will be back on about 7.30ish, will keep an eye out for you if you're still about.

What cars are good for no-stop races besides the Megane trophy?

One more question, are people turning down the power during the race? I normally just short shift because the WRX cannot afford to lose anymore power sadly.

I don't know how people drive the Megane or Cayman but in the Toyota I just short shift all the way in fuel mode 1.

Nice thanks, ill give that a try.

My first disaster at BMB (race b), started in 2nd. Top 3 was able to pull away from the pack, all was good with clean passing until the 7th lap. I try to outbrake for the lead on the inside, get it, but end up hitting the wall pretty hard (5sec pen), but was able to shake it off right away. Now I’m in the back of the 2nd pack (6th), but make my way to the front of that pack by the last lap, only to mess up again on turn 1 (this time I completely spun to a stop). SR only went down to a 93, but took a 500 point loss on my DR. Shouldn’t have had that last drink.

As much as I agree, a lot of the playerbase is stuck in 1998 and will have the pitchforks out if they didn't have an outlet to beat the abysmal AI and get the pretence they have any real skill
And so they did, thus single player leagues. If I recall they weren't there from start.
