Next week's races:
- N100 one make - Monza No Chicane - 3 laps, grid start with false start check
- gr.4 - Mount Panorama - 3 laps - Rolling start
- gr.3 - Tokyo Expressway East Outer Loop - 10 laps - Rolling start - Fuel x6, Tyre Wear x9

I've learnt the hard way to always prefer Race C but I'm hesitant about 東京 Espresso racing.

Hopefully I can find at least one of these to pick up some DR as buffer for my inevitable Gr2 death on Weds.

False start check on a daily race? First time I’ve seen that

Tested the Tokyo Race C settings with the Ford GT LM, and I'm sensing a fuel saving train of short shifting and Map 6 GT LMs and PUG VGTs, as you need to use the fuel map and short shifting at the same time to do a 1 stop strategy...

Jeez, Louise. The mayhem is so bad at night. Got to play all weekend, with early mornings the best. Then, there's a lull through the day and things get hectic in the evening.

Did a quick gr.4 race just now and for some reason my sr went down constantly... didn’t touch other cars, of course besides the first few corners where it’s always a bit bumping and shoving as usual, but after that I avoided any contact and the only contact there was, was because others hit me... very weird...

Yeh, it seems that with the last major update they changed the penalty system again. When I first started Sport Mode, contact resulted in *both* parties getting an SR down. Then they changed it to if someone rear ended you, *they* got the penalty as it should be. Now it seems that you get the penalty if you get rear ended. Race B for me next week, 'cause I know I'll get disqualified at Tokyo from others smashing me into walls .

Indeed. When someone bumps you from behind you have a choice. Eat up the SR Down that will give you, or step out the track / scrape a wall within 2 or 3 seconds and they get a 3 sec penalty. (Unless they are much lower DR, however it will still stop you from receiving SR Down)

This can be further gamed by tapping someone in the rear then stepping out / scraping the wall which will give the car ahead a penalty. Also a side bump on the straight to bounce back into the wall, other car gets penalty. Or you can bump them long enough until they get DQ'd.

On Blue moon bay you pretty much have to stay high to avoid penalties. Anyone diving to the inside and bouncing off you can easily give you a penalty. Also someone squeezing just a bumper next to your rear bumper on corner exit (on the outside), making contact and scraping the wall will give you a penalty. Watch that radar like a hawk through T1 and T3, never assume you have a clear corner exit no matter how far you are ahead. Especially watch for dive bombs in T1 that will cut through the inside in front of you on the way to the wall. They use the wall to correct their dive over speed. If you touch them you get a penalty. It also works in reverse, as in, car hits wall first then taps you, you get a penalty. Or car screws up entry to T2 (from infield / off track) and rams you into the wall, you get a penalty.

Tokyo is going to be the next challenge with this penalty system.

One more day of Bluemoon. No time yet, but I'll try one more time to raise my SR on BMB. Close racing is awesome and actually 3 out of 4 races are clean. However one laggy car or actual dirty driver counts more heavily than the couple SR you gain from the other races. It depends on how many good and bad are in a row how far I get. SR 50 was my highest so far on Thursday.

:ouch:

They must've been going for the new as yet unseen variation of Maggiore that goes straight there rather than via a hairpin??

Theres no way they were making that corner.
Whats also interesting is that he recieved no penalty for that and I had a green SR indicator.

My final c race...The 650 was in full effect. Started 11. Tight racing. Kept thinking about my practice and picturing this...

Made up 2 spots to attrition and pitted.
Came out tenth. By the end made it to 6th. My best finish for this race. Caymans ahead and ALL trophies behind.
Stoked for sure clean race bonus!

I dont like to label people but this weekend has been impossible to have a nearly clean race and every time is a brazilian who decides that the race has been too clean for his taste. Just had a race at maggiore where a Brazilian ruined the race for three people in one single turn. Jesus f. Christ just take it easy people.

Hi to all
In the last two days I had an intense racing activity on BMB speedway.
Many races, average final position 2nd÷4th position , changing car almost every race .
Only saturday I made an intensive use of the Mitsubishi Lancer but I found that other cars were good for this race, I won races with the Honda NSX, Subaru WRX, Alfa 4C, Chevrolet C7 ..
I've raced also with the Jaguar F-Type (best 2nd), Ford GT (.. 2nd), Mclaren 650S (.. 2nd), ferrari 458 (.. 4th), hyundai Genesis (.. 7th), VW beetle and VGT (.. 2nd), Aston Martin Vantage (.. 2nd)...
I had my best winning rate from the beginning of the game, I should be next to the DR A but at the same time my SR is very low (UP and DOWN in thE last two days from B to A and viceversa ..) ..
In the following spoiler the screenshots of my best races ...

Just finished racing on BMB for a couple hours, and won every race I entered except one, and just won 4 or 5 in a row (probably around 20 wins total since the week began), including a couple where I started from pole and broke the slipstream after the 1st lap :D, so I could just hot lap the remaining 9 laps without battling anyone. This has been great for my SR, which took a massive beating after the tire model update. I've driven all of those races with my Corvette, and it holds its own against the Evo in the race, especially if you know how to carry speed no matter where your opponents are on the track.

Oh well, I honestly don't expect anything less from this game anymore.

Since I was on the knife edge from the dirty crap last night I was extra careful, of course others were not.

It had to be a Brazilian in a Ford, dive bombing into T1, taking out the car in front of me, which I then cant avoid. And the game decides I'm the one deserving of a 3 sec penalty while the diver goes free to do it again next lap.

That was enough for -1 SR for the race, from 15 to 14 and from 32K DR to 7K DR. Cheers PD  you got me again.

The same thing happened to me saturday.. at the last turn of the last lap ... I received a penalty for no reason (no contact or touch .. nothing )

Are Brazilians the dirtiest drivers over at American region?

Had a good last night at Maggiore after the battles of children's hour yesterday afternoon.
My first race was clean and my sr recovered from 85 to 99 in one race.

I then ran another 3 or 4 races and ended up keeping my sr and gaining over 3500 Dr points.

Each race was a trophy fest but I started getting the hang of the gears in the Vantage, each time pitting after 4 laps. My last race I still had 3.5 laps of fuel in the pits top

I was really enjoying overtaking all the tropics on the main straight and also up the hill going up to the fast right handers before the finish

Unfortunately it all came to an end with a disconnection before race start on the next race, so I decided to call it quits while I was ahead.

Overall a good week when played at the right time. Having a week off sport races this coming week due to the choice of races. Back when the races improve

Dunno, the next race a Canadian crashed me and a Brazilian out on the straight to T2, me into the wall and the other car into the inside, we both got 5 sec penalty, except for the Canadian in the middle who got himself spun around.

Brazilians are the laggiest together with Argentinians which usually creates accidents without any dirty behavior behind it. It's mostly people driving the Ford GT spec II that are dirty divers on the track. It has **** brakes, yet that's what other cars are for, right...

Atm it's a mess on BMB, yet it's Sunday, early evening, and I'm stuck in SR.C. Perfect storm. And it just booted me back to the race select screen. Netflix time.

Here over at EU Spanish drivers seem to be the most reckless/dirty.

I’ve been dong Race C exclusively this week, made it to SR S, been racing SR S the last 3days. The racing is much cleaner here in AsiaPac region. I was starting from the back without qualifying, making up an average of 7-8 places most of the time. Made up SR quickly, but lousy DR gain because I’m rated DR B in a field of Cs. Then I tried qualifying yesterday, could only manage to start between 8th-12th, and it all went downhill from there. Started to get punted off, finishing last or 2nd last. Maintained SR 98-99, but lost DR, now on the brink of DR C :irked: Got penalties I didn’t deserve for staying on track when punted. Sigh.

I think I’ve figured Sport Mode out. SR points are a bank, which you “spend” when you wanna take risks in overtaking to build DR. Without SR, you’re stuck with dirty drivers without much chance of a clean, fair fight where you give each other room. When you’ve saved up some SR, you can “spend” it on moves you otherwise wouldn’t do, to risk gaining positions and earn DR. When you’re bankrupt in SR, you start from the back without qualifying, and save up again. Rinse and repeat.

Either way, I still manage to have fun :gtpflag:
