Yay, 4 races tonight in Brazil and won three of them (no, we won't talk about that 13th place in race 3). Ok, let's talk about it. Pole position. Dared to switch off tcs. I was so eager to out-accelerate the guy behind in lap 2 that I just spun out. Great work. Then concentration was gone to the beach and I hit the grass braking for Senna S spinning again. And guess what, next lap was exactly the same. Before, I had overtaken one guy in a maneuver which unintentionally was a bit on the rough side. He then was able to pass me after my third merry-go-around but somewhere spun out himself. As he unghosted, guess what, it was me to step on the stage and hit him from behind. Leaving bad marks seems to become my new hobby. So for the rest of this final lap I slowed down in order to let him pass, but he slowed down too. Must have thought I wanted to kill him. If there's anywhere trouble on this planet, don't send me to appease the situation. Might end nuclear. In the lobby afterwards we had a short chat, I apologized, he apologized (???) and I guess everything is fine now. Phew...

Anyway, have some 16k DR points now and I'm back on 99 SR.

Good night, Tim

This will be good, interested to see if the no stop is doable/faster.

Qualified pole, finished 1st. My first Sport Mode race without Australians and Kiwis just feels lonely, especially being an A/A driver and starting on Pole thanks to my 1:32.406 (@JayOTT topped my Friend Rankings leaderboard with a 1:31, but he will not be there anymore once we get into next week, which actually is the day where I have my 1st Semester Final Exams, and also this week is the last time I see Oceania drivers on the TT Leaderboards of Asia in general). I initially got my Fastest Lap jotted down when I was building up my lead, but as we came to the finish line, where I won, a C/B driver in a 4C sets the fastest lap of a 1:32.994, despite battling with an R8 LMS, VS the 1:33.111. SR goes up from 72 to around 76-79. Lobby initially started with 11 drivers on the matchmaking screen, only to drop down to 7 coming into the race itself and at the end.

Decided to start from the back, @Sven Jurgens style (as I said in the Warm-Up chat) to save myself, allowing an easy SR gain on a track notorious for a lot of "Massive SR Down" complaints thanks to divebombers. Initially, there are 14 drivers in the lobby, with me being the only guy not setting a qualy time, until tata-kun got kicked out, and more racers dropped out, which means that the grid dropped from 14 to 13, and ending with only 10 racers finishing, including myself. The start comes and chaos immedieately unfolded, as several drivers crashed out within each other, and I went up from 13th to 7th after the first 3 turns (or first 2 if the chicane is considered as 1 corner). And then I decided to stay behind an R92CP, who is actually the same driver that drove the R8 LMS in the previous race of this report, until Lap 5, where I initiated the undercut. Since I saved some fuel, I've decided to just switch to a new set of Softs and refuel from 56% to 60%. Weirdly, the R92CP driver used Hards and switched to them at the end of his stint for a 6H/5H strategy, plus, he came into the pits with only 36% left! Because he is on Hards and having to refuel a substantial amount, I was able to make the undercut work and finished 5th, 31 seconds behind race winner @leaves_2B in a Peugeot 908. In fact, it was a Pug 1-2-3-4 at the end of the race! SR went up to 89, which means I'm up to S rating again!

I have done four race c’s. I took the lunch money of everyone in three occasions, bumping my count to 15 now. Then I used the Sauber C9, which is pretty garbage overall in this race. Shame cause I love that car.
I will do more today.

Well Interlagos has me treading water dr wise at this juncture. I tried a few tonight. Starting tenth is tough. Picked up two spots, lost some dr.
Third race was of note. Did a couple more qual laps in between and got 33.6. Started sixth.
Guy in front of me got funky with t1. I was going a bit slow which prompted a punting from the 8th place starter diving in.
Great down into 12. Got back to six with some nice overtakes so not all bad.
Strangely it so happened with no South American friends there are still Porsche drivers who think the inside belongs to them. Pretty funny second race guy dives in from on replay maybe five car lengths back. Turn 1. Contact. He slips by.
Passed him exiting esses on a semi crossover.
Then I am slowed in One of the slow rights, so he tried to barge. Ah ah bud. Caught him on next slow right since I was all over him he spun himself wide. Yay me.
His nonsense before caused me too much delay though.
I ran a 33 in race and a couple 34.1 so not all bad.
Pretty fun racing overall.
Dr wise net loss of forty. 99 sr.
I think I could do better if I really made an effort on qual, but just not motivated enough right now.
My optimal after my last five lap session was low 32 but I lack the intensity right now...Time for a drink as cold as the Rockies!

I'm a bit confused...if you're running low 34's and a best Q of 33.6, how is your optimal a low 32? Usually my optimal is only a couple of tenths better than my best lap. BTW, what is your PSN handle. I run a lot of B races, usually in the Mazda. May have seen you since we're running similar times, though right now I'm DR B, SR A (just bumped up both today:cheers:)

Is any one having an issue seeing their stats via KP, or GTS Companion? Since the 1.31 update my profile isn't showing in either.

The disconnection while joining a daily race totally sucks. Totally breaks the flow for me. The last 5 races i tried, 2 went dc.

Fix it plz pd

Daily Race B, 14:50 Room
Car Used: Ford Mustang Gr.3

Pole position thanks to a lucky grid of four A/S (me, another Indo, and two Japanese drivers) drivers and the rest were D/S fillers (minna komenasai!). Race starts and I immediately went defensive into T1. Another Mustang, whose driver uses all sorts of assists, decided to hunt me down, which caused me to do some masterclass defending into Descida de Lago until the uphill double apex right-hander, where some guy in the Nike RSR decided to...charge...into the Mustang (the username is just fitting for this move), causing a big brawl with each other, and that caused them to lose too much time, as I was there lapping in the high 1:32s to a low 1:33. I also got the fastest lap (1:32.840) and a clean race streak increase to 3. This race pretty much shows some of my masterclass driving when under attack and alone.

Some great races tonight and some not so great. It can be messy on Monza. First race in the night I get bumped 3 off 3 times, once rewarded with a penalty for it as well. Shrug it off, it's the default for starting mid backfield on Monza. What is not the default is jumping to 3rd after the first chicane, 2nd before the first lap is over and first not long after.

The mess already started on the way to the chicane

Then I cruised carefully through the mess in the chicane

I'm not that fast to hold on to the lead for long, so after leading a couple laps the actual leaders caught up. I had a fun battle with @Winnie847 for 2 laps slowing his HDI fap down with my R92CP. I over drove Ascari though so thought it better to serve my penalty on the way to the chicane and give @Winnie847 a shot at first. Unfortunately he spun out giving me 2nd place, thanks :)

Next race he won despite the rammers coming out at night. I did a couple more races after that and as expected matchmaking quickly turned into a dreadful affair past 3am. Remember I'm starting from the back... Not quite the 13 positions I was gaining on Monday/Tuesday.
W4ad.jpg

Only 10 in the race, half of which I reported afterwards for ramming. I got rammed off a few times as well, likely half of them were drunk.

The last race I did I had the fastest lap again, another 3rd place, 6 places up this time in a bit more populated room with lower SR drivers to fill it up to double digits. I got punted by a Mazda in the chicane, twice. He had a red B after the race and I called him out for his crap behavior. His response, the classic you are slow. My lap time 1:24.023, hist fastest lap 1:26.54, some people are hilarious.

These matchmaking changes aren't panning out so far. My DR has dropped 5K since the change and hanging onto 99 SR has become more difficult while driving from the backfield. Upping the difficulty to keep it interesting PD?

I don't understand that. With the same car on hards I did a no stop. The only fuel saving I did was short shifting on the high speed sections. My tyres were not happy by the end, but I can't see how he used so much fuel, unless he was bouncing it off the rev limited on every single gear change for the entire race.

Probably that he's using AT, but I didn't have the replay saved :banghead:.

Does anyone know why the results of my Daily Race B this week not appear on the official web course stats?
I've had several races but it doesn't show any Interlago results

I can see my profile in kp, and DR/SR stats are up to date, but none of my finishes have been showing. It shows 0 wins/0 podiums and I should be about 3/6.

Just looked again. Should be wins/leading laps, and poles. Shows 0 for all and Ive had (at least) 3 wins and poles, and one of the wins i lead every lap. Question: one stat says races; 12/finished 47. I believe the 47 may be my total so far, but what is 12?

Against my better judgement I decided to enter Sport Mode with this ridiculous region change. Figured I might have better luck getting a better grid in Race B. Well instead of 11 or 13 places filled from a potential of 20, we had 13 out of a potential 16. Better. SR was matched at least. DR, well, not so much. There was an A+ and an S, 4 of us DR/Ds, and the rest DR/Bs. I qualified P10 :odd:.

Race starts, I take an inside line for T1, and I still had a nob who thought there was room for him inside. The space he was trying to crowbar his way into was 1/2 a car width wide. Because he left the track after hitting me, I copped a 3s penalty and an orange SR . After That I was fairly close to the guy in front for nearly a lap. He got a better exit on Juncao and pulled away, which was what I was doing to the guy behind me. It looked like I was going to finish P10, when on the last lap people started to come unglued. I finished P8 with a 3s penalty and a 4s gap .

SR was white, DR went up about 250ish. Another day above DR 1:odd:.

One scrappy race and I go from SR S to SR B?? What??

Thought it wouldn’t be so bad but just did a race in an SR B lobby. Chaos

I decided to finally have a go on Race C with my GTR Nismo LM...It went about as well as one could expect it to be.
(As in, not so much)

I hadn't seen that car at all this week, and then two turned up in the same race last night!

Their experience was similar to yours.....

Figures, I thought the car would be good on this track because the FWD layout makes tire wear a little bit more manageable, but that's the only thing it has going for it...Acceleration is bad, understeers too much and top speed is short...Plus it only has 5 gears.

I might end up selling it because I have never managed to win any Sport or Lobby race with it.

Attended another race of c. Won it, bumping it to 16. 2nd place was fast, but very inconsistent.

I was in that race. Nice pace bud. I was hoping to give you a good run, but got punted on lap 1 by that guy that ended up finishing 2nd. That race in particular was right in the middle of 3 in a row where I got taken out on the first lap and had to serve at least 5s in penalties on the way back up. I enjoy driving the 908 here over the group C cars, but it’s tough to navigate the first lap with all the different braking points and turn-ins on the track. I think I have a quicker race pace in that car though. My faster wins were between 15:40 & 15:45, but that’s starting on pole and not encountering much traffic after lap 1. Congrats on all the wins!

As always, you’re a gentleman on the track @Sven Jurgens. Fun battle and thanks for letting me by, what a silly mistake I made about 5 seconds after that, haha! I was doing pretty well and had several consecutive wins until the punt-fest started. It’s always fun to see you fly past my PSN in your replays.

You’d think after 5 wins, a few 2nds and only a couple finishes outside podium I’d have gained a good chunk of DR, but nope. Right about where I started due to this great matchmaking. Guess I’m expected to win every race from now on. More attempts to come tonight.

I hear ya @Winnie847, I did 5 races last night, finished 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 4th and 6th and lost 1000 DR and went from SR 99 to 61!! Everyone was ramming everyone last night, if you didn’t make it through T1 clean you were getting rammed all race, it was ridiculous. I got a whopping 36 points for the one win too, and lost points on both 2nd place finishes, these new groupings suck. You can barely even gain points by winning races now and you lose points for 2nd or less, it’s brutal.

5 gears shouldn't be the issue, I think the R92 only has 5 gears, and that seems fast enough (apart from when I'm driving it!).

Another day, more dirty drivers. I just started racing again and first race I get a penalty from a car accelerating into my rear then stepping out the track. Screw hybrids. He wasn't dirty though, there was another fine specimen there. I already saw him taking out 2 cars on the way to the chicane in different laps, pushing them out in the slight right. Then when it was my turn to overtake him he resorted to the kind of blocking I thought was gone from sport mode. I guess it's back as I was getting the SR Down from his last second swerves to block me on the straights... He was DR.B, perhaps that's the criteria now...

Since he was violently swerving and blocking every time I got near, I resorted to taking a penalty short cutting the chicane. So he punted me in Ascari... Well, he left for SR.A (maybe as matchmaking now includes up to SR.D when needed) and I lost 14 SR from that lovely encounter. 85 currently. Always nice to start with a deficit.

I don't know what happened, yet I'm seeing all sorts of behavior re-appear on the track that was getting better for a while. Dirty blocking, swerving, brake checks, penalty shaving in front of you. Perhaps it's Monza, perhaps it's the influence of mixing SR, perhaps the South Americans were the gentlemen on the track keeping things balanced. (Or rather they wouldn't take this **** and take these idiots out no matter the cost)

Cool. Yeah, I didn’t save.:boggled:. I ran a long qual sesh just now and couldn’t equal the feat. Here’s the results, 13 laps total. Dr B sr S. I’ve been running this Chevy for a while now. Sometimes a matte black with deep forest green trim.

Edit, I have trouble putting the 3 key areas of that track together perfectly. Tons of time t1 into the right left. The left after that is tricky and important, and also the last left up the hill.
I can take that in third if it’s perfect, but usually just drop to second.
I run abs weak TCS 2 and never mess with brake balance.
No TCS is too risky for me in the slow corners in the middle in this car. The torque makes it easy to goose it too much trying to hustle the car.

Daily battering is getting tiresome. Lost 20,000 dr after a couple of chronic episodes of the red mist. Back to DrB and Sr forget it. Never mind, the consolation prize to this is lots of empty wins, fastest laps, pole positions and clean race bonus and a strange hollow feeling. I think joining a league of racing enthusiasts is a better way as the average GTer is more interested in winning no matter the cost!

Oh this penalty system. Now I'm down to SR.A getting blamed for other's mistakes every race. Last race the classic "oops I didn't see you there right next to me" ram me at the apex and bounce off, 2 sec. Then a whole bunch of us are coming up on the final turn lap 1. I'm in the middle, more cars behind. The car on the outside makes slight contact with me, yet no problem. Then a car 2 cars behind doesn't brake in time, hits the car in front of him, who gets shunted into the car that made contact with me right before the corner, which gets shunted wide. I get the 5 sec penalty for that.... How does it figure it's my fault lol. Just cause I'm the highest DR in that group?

SR 71 after 3 races, it's the weekend. How low can you go.

I'm Dr b/sr a. Looks like im a tick slower/less consistant than you, though I did run a 1:33.43 in a race I won last night, running alone in the lead. Funny thing is the lap before I ran a 33.7, felt good, then the next lap ran REALLY wide in the uphill double apex right, thought i might go off, and ended with a 33.4. Go figure.
