This is it

Well I made sure to leave the video up on purpose so that hopefully someone at PD sees it and fixes it, the guy behind me in #2 NA has his brake light flashing as well. I just did some more laps without it on and I did improve my lap time by a second over what I had before to 1:07.5, but that’s no where near the 1:05.7 I was able to get with a shim in the brake pedal, 2 full seconds over a 1 minute lap is crazy. It was only worth .5 seconds per lap last time I tested it with the Gr4 Scirocco around the same track.

Edit: Here is the difference between my best shimmed lap and my best regular lap.

Best lap without.

Best lap with.

Not entirely full. It keeps throwing me off as well as I've had the same problem multiple times. I'm on my 4th controller for GT Sport... (You can fix it with a piece of tape yet you lose range in R2 turning it more and more in an on/off throttle)

Try Sarthe no chicane, with BOP the R92CP should get up to 378kph. (Stock gearbox, BOP does not reset the gears in a custom time trial)

I believe mine is working correctly (for now) and it looks like this

Bah, do it for science! (Then drop back)

I kinda want to find out the exact SR Boost at SR.E to see how many points a clean race is worth on Tsukaba at SR.1 However that takes quitting 20 races to get to 1 or well punt someone a whole bunch of times... Any volunteers?

Btw, the :50 race before maintenance won't count for your DR/SR. If you feel like letting off some steam, that race is free to drive as dirty as possible. I tested that with an earlier maintenance cycle (for science) and it worked. Dropped to SR.B in the race, never registered.
Yup that’s what my fun meter looks like too, so I’m guessing I/we are good for now.

It’s too bad there’s no way to recalibrate a controller, either in the game or in the PlayStation menus.

Thanks for the reply

Is it asking for too much that they remove the cheat from the Race A leaderboard???
A simple sanity check would instantly reveal that 1.2 sec faster than "the world" must be cheating.

EDIT: Pos. 4 or 5 is also using the Brake cheat to get to it up 130km/h on the back straight

Decided to race tonight. In both races I saw @Sven Jurgens in the lobby. I expected to see you creep up but never did. You must have been getting held back by others.

This is the exciting race of the night. Started 8th. Reckless driving by others knocked me down to 11 and I managed to finish 5th by peoples’ mistakes.

This race is ok. Someone hit me late braking. The same corner the same racer almost did it again but I steered out the way at the last sec lol.

Hey, I did finish 8th in that first one despite getting knocked around! It was rough tonight. Then the guy starting behind you started accusing me of punting him in the final hairpin. I have no idea if I hit him, I didn't save the video and can't tell from yours. (He passes you at 3:18 when you get hit and you bump him when he brakes odd after throwing his car in front of you at 3:39) I do remember having to evade a couple cars and clipping a car on the inside in that turn, that race was chaos.

Anyway, one incident where I could not avoid it all, -3 SR, easily regained the next race despite getting punted off twice. Love overtaking the same people over and over lol.

Update file copying, time to walk the dog.

Yep it's here
Rodd.jpg

The server is still down though.

@sturk0167 No problem at all on comfort hards in the Tomahawk, 3:11 race time full throttle all the way.

Well they did threaten that it would be in the update, so it's to be expected... also means it will be featured in a race some time soon .

"we don't need another heeeeeeero..... we don't need to know the waaaay home. All we want is life beyooond the thunderdome......"

14 entries, only one SR.A at 6:;10 AM. Improvement, 3 South Americans joined in, welcome back. Although there was some cursing at the top. The race was clean in the backfield, what a difference with last night!

The new cars cost 12.421 million together, there's one 10 million car. No new GR.4 car. carry on as yesterday. The leaderboards have all been reset and it's not filled up with 4Cs yet!

6:30, 13 entries. Pretty much the same room, 1 SR.A, 3 South Americans, enough to keep the lower SR classes away for now. The 1:37s on top are now going to bed (so they said)

6:50, full room, 2 SR.A, 4 South Americans. They are not a high percentage, yet the room is full! A new 1:37 on pole, I'm so out classed lol. There were some red ratings and penalties in that one, and some cursing after.

7:10 Only 11 now, all SR.S. 3 South Americans. Much better than before when it went down to SR.E. SR.S might be a bigger group this week though with the very lenient daily C this and last week. Still 1::37 on pole, I can do low 1:40s in race (still cycling cars, I need to settle on one lol) Only 8 made it in the actual room, some things never get fixed....

I noticed all my times were gone this morning, they are still on KP but not on the Gt site or the Daily race screen. At first I thought they may have actually fixed the glitch and removed bad the times but I have my doubts about that. I saw in the FIA thread something about a physics change so maybe that why times were erased.

European times are still there, so might just be the regions that have been put back together

It wasn’t a legit time anyways so it deserved to be and should have been taken down anyways. I’m curious to see the physics changes tonight though to see how it changes things if it does as all. :)

Did some qualifying with the heavy chevy. Yeh, previous qualy times are re-set for re-joined reigions. I've only been doing one race a night, maybe two one night for race B. First night qualified 1:43.170 with the WRX. Next night 1:42.456 with the M4. Last night 1:41.598 with the Veyron. Tonight I managed 1:40.544 with the 'vette. Will be interesting to see where that lands me with the re-joined regions and possibly better matching.

Tokyo Central N300 OMR Race A, Nordschleife N400 OMR Race B, and Bathurst Gr.3 Race C are your next week's races
https://www.kudosprime.com/gts/events.php
Last had N300 at Tokyo in November in the Audi TT I think
Last had N400 at Nordschleife in October in one of the Porsches
Last had gr3 at Bathurst in October as a daily

Using this to check what races we had when

I use several profiles all on the one Playstation subscription. There's no need for separate PSN accounts... just profiles.
Oh thanks so much.

Better than using my Son's account details. Especially that he may not give me his details - which would annoy me quite a bit!!!!

I may have to give the game a miss for some time - I have had Carpal tunnel syndrome for some time and need to have the surgery - I was going to book the operation next week. And I had a suspected hernia - so I rolled up for an ultrasound to confirm the hernia, at a hospital with my surname on it (my forbears owned 2,000 acres where the hospital is now) and then during the ultrasound the lovely ultra sound lady got tense and nervous and then went off and got a doctor - and then half an hour later I was having a CT scan ( a rotary X-Ray machine - and they inject you with a yellow contrasting dye - Iodene - and I signed a form which stated one out of 250,000 die from the Iodene injection - not much comfort to me today from that form let me tell you).

But anyway, no hernia - and clearly, the iodine has not killed me - but now, they are very keen to take my appendix out - likely very soon indeed. So the game is going to suffer, darn it. Not that I've every been quick.

Incidentally I am not quick in the first sector - typically 1.294 or thereabouts - but my time is 1:38,8 and a combination of my 10 practice laps in the Alfa showed a potential 1:38.1, so i reckon the Alfa is pretty quick, although it doesn't like the chicane curbs IMO. Fun and easy to drive IMO.

Raced a few races tonight at Maggiore and spun the Alfa while coming second. Interestingly no appendix pain whatsoever when I am racing. Maybe I should do it a lot more often? I am now faster with TC off but it can be unforgiving if you touch that red stuff next to the Maggiore black top. I felt a bit slow and then I took out the Renault racy GR.4 car - not the fat Megane but the aero ground effect little beauty which is fun to drive. But I was a bit slower than the Alfa. The special Renault lacks power but sounds lovely and boy its fun to drive.

We are now back with Japan and the rest of Asia. Much much better - much deeper fields. It feels easier now too.

i just wish I knew when I lost tyre traction - why doesn't the game light up and show you when you have wheel slip when TC is turned off? Or vibrate the pedals or the wheel?? Any technique hints on how to recognise loss of drive wheel traction??

Good luck with the surgery and a swift recovery dood.

The race matching was sorta better with the re-join, but my connection to the server was down to 2 bars. It was registering 6 before the screen with the pre-race chat came on. I qualified P8/15 on a mixed grid of DR/C and D with a couple of DR/Bs thrown in.

Starting mid field with more cars on the track meant a lot more rough and tumble, and more road blocks early on. T1 had to back off because people took it slower than they needed to... like the 4 cars in front of me, then again after the esses I was being held up for two laps at the corner leading on to the back strait because groups of cars are braking for that corner... which I usually take at full throttle. Frustrating :banghead:.

I got knocked off the track which dropped me back a few. The resulting loss of grip made it hard to get back into the groove and I came off again and down to last place. I managed to re-gain some control and was dicing with the few cars in front. Lots of side by cornering. I managed to get up to P12, but just couldn't get by P11. A disappointing finish, but it is what it is. Red SR :yuck:.

SR dropped to 92, DR dropped 600 . So far the re-join has given a better race match, but also more chaos. The fall back to DR/D begins again .

The penalties have not improved, possibly made worse. I just got rammed into the wall twice on DT gardens. Both times I ended up with 5 sec penalty and lost 11 SR for that race. I hope it was a fluke or things are moving in the wrong direction.

Oh, and I just got demoted to C/S. First time in DR.C since Bluemoon bay reset my DR half a year ago.

So I drove the update. I did the same car at Gardens and Tsukuba. I think either I’ll be a touch faster or I was driving great this morning. I was driving lower times more consistently. Maybe just me but I felt like certain times a loaded cornering car would skate in a weird way before where now it tracks better, handles situations without that little weird skate If that makes sense...
I only drove a few minutes curious if anyone else has a take. Maybe it’s placebo effect but it felt to me easier to maintain a better pace at both places.
I haven’t looked at a thing about it or read a single opinion on it yet.

Hmm, what's going on here. Are we now driving on the South American server?

Brazilians with 5 bars, everyone else with bad connections....
uqdd.jpg

Don't mind my position, got rammed off twice again. At least the rammers got punished this time and I got the clean race bonus :) +7 SR!

Perhaps it's switching between servers, let's see what it looks like next race.

Yep, it's reversed in the next race. South Americans with 3 bars, US/Can green. I guess it's using both servers now. I would have less lag to the European server than the South American...

Oh, I get door number 1 now each race. DR sorted alphabetically, mine starting with 8 (8.4k). Take that A+ crowd on pole, I'm nr.1!

Had a good start today With turning pole to a win. Also improved my lap time by .3 seconds because @6BK got a little bit to close to my other time:D
Second race I start on pole again but I ruin it by missing a downshift on the hairpin. At the end of the lap this happens
(I'm in the Porsche)

I put blame on the other guy before I saw the replay. I was in bumper cam and felt like I gave enough space. I think I could have given him a little bit more space. Thoughts?
Then this happened in another race..

You could've maybe given a bit more room, but it wouldn't have changed the outcome... That guy had every intention of running you off from the start. He took a wide line into the second apex and ran his car all the way to the outside curb.
So yeah, no need to feel guilty lol.

I've watched the first one several times and have gone from thinking you cold have given more room for his inevitable line drifting wide, to actually thinking it was down to bad driving by the Lambo. After the contact he still makes use of the entirety of the curb so he was never going to allow room for your car too. If he was a better driver he would have followed you through the corner and benefited from the slip stream down the straight, rather than force that move.

It seems obvious you weren't trying to squeeze him as you gave him loads of room at the first apex. What his intentions were we can't know, but would like to give the benefit of the doubt. His stats suggest that he is not a dirty driver. Hopefully just over zealous in this instance.

The second video, that French driver needs to have his SR limited to a C for a the next 10 races for that.

Feeling less guilty:) Was my third race against this guy today I raced with him a couple of times yesterday. This guy doesn't do clean overtakes and knowing this I decided to not defend to much and be happy with second.

And this all happened in an SR S room:eek:

I did some laps in the Ferrari last night in B qualifying. I'm slow, but managed some low-mid 42's if I remember right. Slow but consistent. Had a bunch of laps all within .5 seconds. I'll try again tonight.

I get what you're describing, and I can really see it helping in T1. I did the track challenge thing for this track, and though getting gold was no problem, I stayed at each sector and ran it until I felt like I was running it well. I ended up about 1 second off of the top 10 time in the first 2, and .4 off the last. I think my full lap time was almost 3 seconds off, though. A 1:33.8 in the GR-3 car if I remember right. I was hoping to get below 1:40 in the GR-4, but I guess I was fooling myself. Gonna try some other cars tonight and see if I can find some better lines...

Practice practice practice.
I hated that track but now it’s growing on me. Try the nsx.
It seemed like the entry into the triple apex and the 2 u turns overall were easier to push with this update also on Tsukuba turn 2 the car stayed loaded better...either that or I’m getting better from practice...

Hah, I thought you'd appreciate my quali time when you saw it. There was .07 of a second between us last night. I will say, to be fair to the guy in the Lambo in your first vid, I use the Lambo for a lot of races, have done on the last couple of Daily B Gr4 on Red Bull Ring & Kyoto. On Gardens it just seems to drift wide on corners for me which is why I'm not using it this week. There is a very strong chance it was not so much intentional but just how that car drifts.

I had a good night racing, no pole starts but some top 5 and another 6 races with 5 top 5 finishes. Close to a win when I led for a couple of laps on a race having started 3rd...only for the guy who had been 1st to totally broadside me on T4. He came down inside me with absolutely no hope of turning and when I tried to turn in I found myself facing the side of his car. Frustrating, I've only ever won 1 other race and it was a crappy Fiat 500 thing. Overall good though, up from 2K DR Points on Monday to 9,850. 1 good result tonight and I'll be back to DR B.
