No. You're good. He took a weird line, and braked really late. You didn't have time to go anywhere else. I can hear that you were not at full throttle passing him. So, you did what you could. It was his own fault. Some people would not have lifted off the throttle. :guilty:

Cool, I didn’t think so but I wasn’t sure, thanks. :)

I just finished 7th in my next race and got 1 single DR point, from 27,500 to 27,501 Hahahaha, good race though . :D

Edit: Never mind, I lost 90 instead lol. Forgot to refresh haha, still +400 for the night though.

Edit 2: 4th in the next one and my first CRB of the night, I even beat an A+ guy too, though I only passed him because he spun out, but I’ll take it. :D

No signs of @Sven Jurgens for a few races now though, I wonder if he’s having internet troubles tonight?

Edit 3: There he is, starting 2nd in the next race.

On my way to the track! My final night living the DR/A lifestyle. DR has been on a constant plummet since the last update. Just can't say no to the Ring.

Hope to see you out there!!

I'm back. My wife made an offer I could not refuse. Back to racing now!

Well you can’t argue with that! Haha

I was only 10s behind you by the end of that last one. :)

@Pigems At this rate you'll be passing me soon. My AT driving is no match against these A+ drivers. I'm toast on any straight. I did keep up with them for quite a while until their mighty acceleration had me lost behind.

What will the next race bring, starting second, C/S behind me

Well that takes care of that. Just met @Sven Jurgens, and @Pigems on the track. Race starts, all is fine, good strong signal, aaaaannnnd disconnect .

It was a rough race, your SR will thank you lol. Hopefully next time you’ll get to stay. :)

I got bumped off twice though once was kinda my own fault for getting distracted by the guy ahead of me going off lol. I think that’s it for me for tonight, tomorrow is the wife’s birthday so I should probably get some sleep haha. Great racing with you tonight @Sven Jurgens, congrats on the a win! :)

Hopefully! The A+ guys are damm fast, just keeping up with them is a feat in an of itself. My Red Bull is wearing off now though, I’m losing my wings lol. Great racing tonight! :)

There are a lot of disconnects tonight. Second place dropped out on the final straight like what happened to me earlier. The server is moody tonight. Another victory :) The guy in pole position was pushing too hard, making lots of mistakes. It was just a matter of waiting for a safe place to pass. Hmm less than 400 points for a victory now, 370 for that one. Which means a disconnect during the race will be in the 2K range soon.

Aye great racing @Pigems. Perhaps tomorrow you'll be passing me with that setup :) Starting 2nd next, @Qyn is giving it another go. Good luck! Please stay connected. Ack pole disconnected, now I'm on pole, the pressure!

Yeah, that officially move me from 31k to 28k back to B. About 2900 points lol. Either way have a good one, and tell the wife Happy Birthday from her extended GTP family.

Damn got bumped passed by a Canadian. He wasn't that fast though, kept holding me and an American up for most of the race until he went wide before the straight. Unfortunately the American had the acceleration, could not draft pass. Second place is good. 330 points worth.

Well, raced my first races of the week. Entered the Nord with my 7:59.5 and gridded P2 in an SR B room. Got tagged an hit the wall in T -2, then hit over and over and went over the start line in P13. Not bad once
I got going. Bumped from behind in T 1 for a 3 second penalty and had a few taps for SR down flags. Finished 10th.
Entered again, gridded P5. Got onto T -2 a bit hot but thought I was okay since I had 2 wheels on the grass and the other 2 on the inside curb, but 3 wide doesn't work and the guy in the middle ended up being bounced between me and the outside guy when he came into the curb at the apex. He may have been the one that hit me from behind and made me tag the wall in T1 seconds later. Had about 7.5 seconds of penalties from those 2 contacts. I felt bad about stuffing it up the inside, and feel that it was a bad move, and my mistake, but in my defence I did have the inside and stayed there through the corner. Anyway, I ended up 4th after T1 and got by the guy who tagged me when he went wide in the right hander at the bottom of the hill. He made a couple of dive bomb tries later and I finally got away for good about 2 minutes in. Ended up finishing 3rd, 8 1/2 minutes after burning my penalties at the end. I figure I must have been driving okay since I only lost a tenth of a second off of my penalty in the whole lap. I figured it might burn off on it's own, but I guess not. Those 2 races put me down to SR-C. I entered race A next. My 1:29.9 got me pole in a mostly SR-C room, and I was looking forward to a flag to flag victory, and a clean race. P2 had a 1:30.2 and there were 3 more cars in the 1:30's, so I planned to push hard and stay tight on the start, but not push my brake points too much. I knew from hot lapping that I can do mid 30's pretty consistant if I don't over drive the car. So I'm waiting for the race to start and...I get kicked! That has only happened to me maybe 6 or 8 times, but it's the third time it's happened when I got pole! I'll try again tomorrow. See if I can get back some SR points.

Are there widespread disconnection issues tonight? Or is it just you @Sven Jurgens ?

If I lost a thou DR over a disconnect I cannot describe how ballistically furious I would be

2 didn't make it into the room again just now, however that doesn't cost you DR. I've been disconnected during the race once and have seen others get disconnected. It's not especially bad tonight, just luck of the draw.

Nice, triple star victory. The same Canadian was behind me yet I didn't give him an opening to stick a nose in. I did have to lift of the brakes several times and compromise my corner exit not to get hit. He fell back in the second half, crashed later and quit. The same American was too far behind to accelerate up to me. Clean race bonus, I'll get back to 20 million credits before the next update at this rate.

It's not just him. I just had a DC half way through the ring and lost over 2900 DR points. Not restarting this time to see what happens. I usually restart after every race.

EDIT: 2 in a row and no DC. Gonna try 3 then restart. Probably already pushing my luck :scared:.

2 star victory worth 470 points. It's kinda backwards you lose a star for not starting on pole. That lovely positions gained arrow is nice to look at :)

Ack, one inch of kerb in the wrong place, cost me 8 seconds, dropped to 4th, made it back to 3rd. +33 DR, no stars. Damn. If not top 3 I'll lose DR now.

Another win! 400 points, still going down. @esoxhntr I was a C just over a week ago ;) Just hit 46K exact. Same race again up next. Stay on the track, stay on the track, stay on the track.

I guess the American got bored of following. He bumped me from behind twice at Aremberg to make room, then a third time taking the opportunity to pass and bump me further wide not leaving room for me. It also looked suspicious how he passed first place. I finished right behind him, he had a white S so he must have got at least 3 SR Downs. Second place was only worth 67 DR this time. Ah he's not there now, it was his last race, win at all cost I guess.

Next race, the Argentinian behind me hits me 5 times in the first section. Last time hard enough to bump pass. No penalty for him. Then I get punted by an American at Metzgesfeld, no penalty for him either so he bumps me again... I cleanly pass the Argentinian much later and get my 3rd place back. One and two are long gone. The Argentinian thanks me for a clean race afterwards, sorry the feeling is not mutual. 3rd place finish -80 DR.

Next race went well until the end. Bumped off again. That's 3 in a row now. Finished 4th. -160 DR. Racing at night is dangerous, low standards.

And that's 4 in a row. First I get hit from behind by the Argentinian, but that's expected. The Argentinian fumbles in the second half and falls back. I have a clean close race for first, make a clean pass at the top of the hill to get bumped off into the wall at the bottom. Finish 3rd +60 DR.

Like a fondue? :D

More like a fundue. Definitely more fun than getting bumped off for the 5th time in a row grrr. The Argentinian bumps me off in T minus 3 and again at Hatzenbach. He didn't mess around bumping this time so I went well off and he got a penalty both times. After the second time he decided to serve his penalty in the middle of a stream of traffic... He left the race with a red B, good riddance. Second place finish for me, with clean race bonus, couldn't quite catch first in time. +180 DR.

One more attempt at a race without getting bumped off. Oh hell, he's starting behind me again, game is filling the room with SR.B now. So now he's also racing with SR.B rules...

The drop to SR.B helped, he was more careful this time, only two slight touches, no SR Down for me. Still enough to unsettle me and lose connection to first. I catch back up at the end, first messes up and drives half through the grass. I hang back as I don't want to get hit. First gets the car back on the road at the bottom, no penalty for all those shortcuts... I finish second with clean race bonus +100 DR.

Enough for tonight, better quit before matchmaking starts adding SR.E.

Btw what has PD done to the shortcut penalties on the Nordschleife. There are a few points where you still get 2.6 sec for the slightest misstep, yet most of the track, go ahead and scrape along walls, use the grass, no problem. Standards have gone down.

Sorry @usa_vegard (if you're on here) I went wide avoiding the car in front of me and was not fully in control re-entering the track at the end. That penalty was not deserved. I tried to leave room yet still slid into you, which made you slide back into me.
No worries. I tried an opportunistic move when you went on the grass and I guess technically I pushed you off when you rejoined so the result was fair enough. I improved my qualifying time to a 7:36.0 after that so I should avoid some traffic today.

ohhhhh - so you lose points if you leave a race before it's finished????

That would explain my wonderful DR chart over at kudos prime.com !!!!

Final race on the Mountain. After spending a little over an hour preping the car in the livery editor, I put the 911 to the track. I started P13/19 on a mixed grid of DR/B-D, all SR/S for a change.

The race was insane. Realy not impressed with the timing for auto drive to cut out. I survived Murrays as well all careen head long towards Hell Corner. The guy behind me decided that he'd try to pass me on the inside despite the fact I was already turning. He had two wheels on the kerb, two wheels on the grass, and instead of holding the line, then decided to turn right.. into me :banghead:. Turn 1 of the first fricken lap . Down to P15 and up Mountain Strait we go. More chaos going up the Mountain, and I seem to be the only one who uses their brakes rather than the car in front .

I hung in there for a couple of laps, worked up to P10, then seemed to loose the plot across the top of the mountain and turned in too early on most of the corners. Apparently I must have thought this was WRC . It finished with me in the sand before Skyline. Back down to P16. After that i focused on just getting round the track. The rallying didn't help my tyres any. I kept my head down and just kept circulating. The tyres seemed to be holding out, but there were a few moments on the last two laps. I didn't pit. Finished P12. Pretty sure I could have done better :odd:.

SR up 3, DR dropped nearly 200. Another day above DR 1 .

Two races at Bathurst last night.

First was clean from start to finish. Started 13th. Five laps on softs, pit for fresh softs. Finished 8th. DR and SR boost. Back up to 99SR.

Second was less clean. No ramming/dirty driving. Just a messy race on my part. Started 15th. Tight for the first lap and a half, but gained a couple of positions. Got up to 9th before I hit a wall hard, and dropped to 15th again. Finished 14th. Lost a bit of DR. Still 99SR.

First race today on the Nordschleife. Double star victory. It would have been three yet the Argentinian behind me tagged me twice before he dropped back. Perhaps more than twice, my SR was neutral after the race, his is red of course. The win was worth 320 DR.

I'm back after a long break, now one week same tracks? I hat all combos why no daily change?

You have the Nurburgring as your avatar and you hate the daily B

No I love it but my races ended in a mess of crashes. People don't know the track ruins the others race

Even people that know the track ruin races :/

Second race, was looking forward to a battle with the A+ driver on pole. However got bumped in the early section, made me go slightly wide, got passed, had to wait behind until I could pass cleanly, A+ got away. Finished second, no clean race bonus again due to the bump from behind.
SQy1Y3m.gif

Next race, re-match against the A+. Turns out I'm no match for his MT anyway, he quickly accelerates away after Flugplatz, no chance to catch his draft. I nick a pixel of grass at Kesselchen putting me in a slight drift, enough slowdown to give the American behind me the chance to pass before the high speed left. I stick on him like glue, the second half is by far my strength on this track. He screws up at Pflanzgarten getting a 1.4 sec penalty, the only shortcut on the track you can not take. I pass him on the straight without much resistance since he has the penalty anyway. Second place again, clean race bonus, +102 DR.

Pole position next, the pressure. No problem, an easy triple star victory with over 8 second lead, with a relaxe 8:08 finish time. I was the only DR.A in the room, no competition. +190 DR.

Next race, pole again, no competition again. Winning required, screw up means massive DR loss. I can feel the dread the average A+ driver must be going through with these races. Another easy, lonely victory. Clean streak at 3, +170 DR.

Another pole, now with one other A/S behind me. A real race! Nope, another uncontested victory. Clean streak at 4, +180 DR. Hmm, I'm that annoying win farmer right now. Oh well, next week I'll be driving from the back again on big Willow.
