Race B, waiting for it to start, counter goes to 0, i’m back at the race selection. Twice :|

You have to restart the game to get out of that loop. It will keep doing that until you restart.

Ugh now I got disconnected while the counter sits at zero. I did restart the game. It was not a throw back to race select screen, a proper disconnect message. Laundry then for the next 20 minutes :(

Thanks for that. Does it affect the ratings?

Not if you get disconnected before entering the lobby (warm-up). Your ratings are safe if you get thrown back to race select screen after the time reaches zero. After you see the warm-up message it costs 5 SR and are considered finishing last when you get disconnected.

Here is my improvement @AUTISTICBOYX Now how do I shave 3.650 seconds of my time to get in them 1.59s?
I lost .445 in the first section because that's just what I do:banghead:

Interestingly vid. It shows where I'm losing time. Sector 1 & 4 are the same for us. From the time I hit Hell Corner at the foot of the climb to the time I hit Forest Elbow I lose 3 seconds on your time over the mountain. I can even see the 2 specific corners where I seem to be losing the time. I'm coming off the accelerator a little on the left handers over Brookes / McPhilamy (the crest of the hill) and tapping the brake a little entering The Dipper.

Will you be giving it another go? Watching that video makes me wan't to go at it again but I will have to wait till tommorow. Very interested in seeing your improvements when I log back on:cheers:

Thanks for noticing the improvements. You always manage to be ahead though.:dopey:

Not played much this week and working all day Saturday and Sunday so no real time to improve. Will try a bit tonight I expect. Last big jump was from 2.07.9 to mid 2.06. when I moved to the VW Beetle last night. Only did 5 laps and I was already clocking 1.5 secs faster.

I will have to try the Beetle. Used to be my go to GR.3 car on the DS4.

<-- praying that next week's N300 race at Willow Springs and N200 race at Suzuka are rear-wheel drive cars. Not interested in any understeering front-wheel drive pos. Also hoping for cars that we haven't had before. There are so many to choose from.

Edit: The 1989 BMW M3 would be fantastic for Willow Springs, but it's N200. Damn. :irked:

i am terrible with fwd cars. it is the drivetrain i have the least amount of time with in the real world, and i have never liked it, especially in winter.

just ran the ring 4 times and managed a decent showing in each. actually managed to get a little over 1000 dr from it, lost a few sr though, from the minor bumps of close racing. i can't recall nor dictate the races like a few of you can, i swear you take notes somehow, but they were some of the best races I've had in this game yet. as intense as it gets on track, following someone right on their bumper, for like two solid minutes. focused so much on what your doing you never check the radar or anything, then watch the replay and see 4 cars behind you all doing the exact same thing

How about the GT350? I haven't really looked at it yet, but I imagine it might be N300. Has anyone driven it yet?

A bit tail happy maybe?
I only tried it once. I did one of the GT League races at Alsace, and didn't experience a bunch of over-steer (I used sport soft tires), but noticed that the car doesn't really like slowing down or turning.
Go buy one, and see what you think.

Got some dr and restored a little sr with a couple races at Tokyo. Then focused on my hot lap time and got it down to 1.29.2something, opt was a 128.868 i believe. I wish i could run that perfect lap.... time for a break then some more practice around the ring.

Time for a break. I've been racing a lot on the Nord today. It was pretty clean for a Saturday afternoon. I only got bumped off in half my races  One laggy American was giving me problems in three of my races. He even claimed he made a clean pass after he bumped me off the track at Flugplatz. I showed him the screenshot of where his front bumper hit my rear right bumper, no response. Just some more confirmation bias, when I messaged him, his languages listed Spanish...

Anyway, DR is still shooting up, 42.7K now, got a couple more wins, some nice clean passes and plenty clean race bonuses when I don't get draft bumped. Sorry @usa_vegard (if you're on here) I went wide avoiding the car in front of me and was not fully in control re-entering the track at the end. That penalty was not deserved. I tried to leave room yet still slid into you, which made you slide back into me.

Oh, he finally got back to me. "With all due respect, you were slower and I had another car stepping on my heels". The standard reply from a dirty driver. The other car was still over a car length behind. His other excuses (previous races) were, I wasn't paying attention and my wheel locked up. Welcome to my 'report before the race even starts' list.

I suspect I'm over thinking it and PD isn't as cluey as it seems. I noticed that they list the conditions for race C as sunny, and the time as 6:??pm. For it to be that dark so early in the evening, it would have to be winter. It gets a tad nippy in winter at Bathurst, so the track temp would be cold and that might explain why it seems less grippy than day time 💡.
But we don't know if PD simulates that.

I did a few races on the Nurburgring last night, with varying degrees of success. I managed to set a time of 7:44, but that didn't really make my life much easier. I wasn't able to get the pole time; the closest I got was third on the grid. In one race I made several mistakes, ones I probably shouldn't have made like not braking hard enough, missing apexes and going off the track. I think I came 10th in that race. In another race, I made an error whilst contesting a 2nd place, which was going wide at Gurgenkopf and hitting the wall. Thankfully, in my last race, I was able to get a 2nd after a quite a bit of frustration. First was simply out of the question. So then I did the Bathurst race and scored 4th - missing third by 0.020 seconds due to a penalty.

I finally did it, I raced the Nordy! It was my first race with my new wheel and first of the week too, featuring none other than Mr @Sven Jurgens. I had a good clean race until the final corner when the two guys in from got tangled up, I got by one as he ghosted and slightly nudged the other and got my only SR down of the race. Gained a whopping 26 DR and had a lot of fun doing it. :)

@Pigems, see you again soon I hope! And please report that idiot that ran me off again, 4th time today.

Ah, good, you are there, he is not. This race will go better :) I think Bruno is all right, the name doesn't ring any alarm bells.

Another good race!! I did bump one guy though by accident when he stopped a little short in front on me but I apologized after and ended the race penalty free with a blue S, he wasn’t to happy though. @Sven Jurgens looked to have had a good race as well, I was behind him for a minute but slipped off the road a little and fell back. Fun race overall and I hope it continues tonight. :)

Fast group! I would've started 14th.

Another decent finish, I went off again towards the beginner but did well after that minus bumping a guy off when he went squirrelly near the end and I was too close to avoid him, that was my fault. @Sven Jurgens Was in this race as well but I think he spun out at one point climbing the hill, I didn’t see what happened but I think I went through him at one point. Hopefully next race will be better for him. :)

It was, there has been good pace to all three races I’ve done so far, it’s been a good night for racing. Get on out here!! ;)

Omg, Argentinians. Even if you congratulate them on the win and thank them for a (relatively) clean race (just draft bump SR Downs, not bumped off) he starts complaining I blocked him. I went out of my way to stay on the edge when I went slightly wide so he could pass. Some people.

Good race otherwise, just one slight slip, started 2nd, finished 2nd, all good.

This wasn’t my fault right, Or should I have left more space?

We lost @Sven Jurgens in the next race before the start!!

No. You're good. He took a weird line, and braked really late. You didn't have time to go anywhere else. I can hear that you were not at full throttle passing him. So, you did what you could. It was his own fault. Some people would not have lifted off the throttle. :guilty:
