Got way too overambitious at Turn 4 at Fuji attempting to pass two cars at once. Drilled into the front of someone and pushed them wide. Clean race bonus.

I just got a clean race bonus. 4C goes wide at T1. Touches the grass. Spears into my left hand door. I go off to the right hand grass. The 4C gets 3.5 second penalty. Go figure.Got way too overambitious at Turn 4 at Fuji attempting to pass two cars at once. Drilled into the front of someone and pushed them wide. Clean race bonus.

Started 2nd. Auto Drive was pegged in 1st gear(Atenza). Was getting passed by the 3rd place 86, at T1. Gave that player room. Got divebombed by a C7. Get swamped by maybe three cars in the hairpins to the final turn.
I just smashed a Huaracan that barged its way into one of the corners(no penalty for me or it). Lap 1!
@Sven Jurgens or anyone else, What kind of times were starting where last night in race C? Is the Toyota TS050 the only car that can go the distance without fuel savings? How much disadvantage is it at on the straights? Thanks in advance for the info.![]()
So far with AT the TS050 is the only one that makes the distance. However the top can short shift their way through with other cars without having to change fuel maps. Qualifying times ranges from 3:22 down to 4 minutes, your typical A+/S to D/S rooms where only the top 6 gets to finish the race, rest timed out.
TS050 won a race, Peugeot 908, R18, 919, and a R92CP however that as in the low SR.S room where I only finished 25 sec behind instead of timed out![]()
Well friends,
I have shown my true talent level in attempting to figure out the race A car. I thought eh I will try it maybe I wanna buy one...
I can’t figure out the handling, plus I’m horrible on that track I don’t even know where to be. For me, can’t do that combo.
.
Is short-shifting the best way to save fuel? Last time we had this combo I was lift/coasting in the Porsche from before the first corner marker at each chicane (IIRC that's 300m) and not losing too much.So far with AT the TS050 is the only one that makes the distance. Anyway a pit stop costs 22 or 23 seconds on your lap time and the out lap doesn't seem to be much shorter to make up a significant difference. So if you can't drive at least 4 seconds per lap faster without fuel saving, a pit stop is no go. (I did not change tires, only hard is allowed and they are still fine in lap 5)
With the R92CP I keep getting bumped and just feel like a towing service on the straights. Hybrids drafting me, then bumping me at corner exit to draft me again. I feel used.
The TS050 gets passed on the straight, however now you can try to hang on to the draft. It's not great without qualifying though as the knuckleheads in the back are not stable enough to draft without risks. The TS050 does great in the corners and acceleration, yet the backfield needs to calm down a lot before I can take advantage of that. I still go up 12 places from all the crashes and others racking up penalties. (Some completely ignore Dunlop and drive around with 15 sec+ as if that's the way to play the game)
The LM55 was useless to me since the fuel consumption was changed. Perhaps all the VGTs have different fuel consumption now as last year the LM55 and Tomahawk were not far behind the TS050 in fuel.
I have not tried the 919 yet. I can't stand that car as it keeps rear ending me.

You need to perfect the good old bump n run tacticsthen pass me on the last stretch to Indianapolis to block me through the rest of the track where the TS050 is faster. You're welcome, not.
May I ask how you're able to stay above SR 90 so consistently?Daily B is an SR killer this week. I’ve been SR S at 90 to 99 points for45 days of racing. 3 races on Fuji and I’m 81 points. One player even says he reported me (not sure what that means) fo an incident where he simply drove into me, bounced off my car and ran himself off the track. Horrible stuff out there.
That is a respectable time. Fast enough to get into the fastest room. If you had qualifies at 43 or slower you would have been in a room with slower guys. I imagine a mid 42 may have got you near the front.Race B: Qualified with a 1.41.8... thought that was a respectable time, started 10th.. really 10th.... pole was over a second quicker than me. Back to the drawing board when i get home
May I ask how you're able to stay above SR 90 so consistently?I went into Race A yesterday with an SR of 95 and left with 75
And that was just three incidents: getting punted into the escape area of Turn 1 twice in a row and going in for an overambitious overtake towards the end which got a bit ugly.
Do shortcut penalties affect SR as well? Because I recall not getting my SR boost for the sector after cutting Tertre Rouge @ Le Mans, for example.

@NevilleNobody Agree on all counts.
Not a fan of the road card, Neither La Sarthe nor Gr1 suit me. I like Gr3 & Gr4 but not on Fuji.
If i was a dictator of the world i'd bugger off all these overly long and fiddly tracks like Fuji, Alsace, Sainte Croix (how bad is that!!!) and anything in reverse and replace them with Elkart Lake, Donington, Oscherslenen, Oulton Park etc. i'd also purge the game of anything rally related, just uses resources that could be spent on a low powered race car series like super tourers or GT5.
Racing hard tyres are the only option!I haven't raced there yet/if, but maybe they are using softer tyres?
Yes, you annoyed me by keep winning! The key for me in the Toyota is to be massively aggressive, every corner is win or lose for your race, if you're behind you need to get into the slipstream before the other cars drive off into the distance. If you're ahead you need to push for a gap, anything less than 1.5s makes you a sitting duck or allows the quick cars to sit behind saving fuel. The hybrid boost is crazy on the Toyota, you can pass Mazda's from half a second back on the straight between Indianapolis and Arnage!
I gained 7k DR points yesterday through being an annoyance.
