Better than those wall riding cheaters

Damm, we’ve got wall riders already? They usually don’t come out until later in the week.

Here is a turn by turn tutorial of my best lap for race A of 32.755 which is currently ranked third in the Americas region.

Am I the only guy on DS4 not using CSA :/

I kinda need it off in order to tune properly and leaving it off helps keep things the same vs one way tuning one way online racing.

How big of a difference would it make online in Dailies?

Just create an online lobby and toggle things on and off for a few laps, it never hurts to try. :)

I managed to cash in a 32.8 on Race A, my neck is stiff now though from leaning left all afternoon.

Not quite top 10, but it’s close. :D

Oh! So that's how you do it..... my back end would swing out every time on turn 3 which is why I thought you'd need drifting skills! Should've watched the video on the Circuit Experience section rather than just bronzing it and calling it a day!

Cool! Let us know how how you get on with that.:sly:
Actually, I fully expect to be pretty bad for a while. I'm sure there will be a struggle with wanting to unplug it and pick up the controller.

I never used it, in fact my after race msg used to be "ds4 no csa"

Gonna try some hot laps for now on race a and b. Anyone actually doing races? If so how bad are they?

I can't stop laughing!

Me either

That's exactly how you do it, text book, I wouldn't of done it any other way.

Trying my luck in Race C bought a Gr2 GT-R (not many choices :/ ) and of all the duplicate gift cars no Gr2 :/

No Q time Ill start from the back did a few practice laps with tire wear at 10 in Arcade seems alright.

Lets Go

I haven't read the GTP guidelines on rejoining the circuit in a safe and considerate manner, I think I'm doing it right...

He got a penalty for that though. Easy win for you, all you had to do was ride him to victory. You traded that all away for a 5 second penalty. Not sure if I personally would have given that up, though it is quite satisfying to watch.

The penalty didn't pop up until quite late, I was already committed to my special safe re-entry by then (not that that changes anything, I'm much happier with a 5s penalty than having somebody with that mentality behind me into the Turn 1 braking area). Don't feel too bad for me though, this was on lap 1 the NSX in 2nd was 20s back at the finish.

I think it was on an old episode of Top Gear about Lamborghinis, in the opening of the show it said, “You can do something for Love, or you can do something for money, but nothing feels quite so good as doing something out of pure spite.” :)

Not a bad result, would of been better had some guys not been hissy fit queens deciding to give me a pit maneuver on the straight after sharp T1 that's why I go wide lol

Either way my SR went from E to B lol so Ill be with a different crowd if I wait a hour before I try again.

I used CSA as its my first time getting competitive above Gr4. I used it before but felt like it was slowing me down in Gr4, my GTR already had some push the CSA made it understeer more. Could not get any power rotation

Plus tuning cars when Im not in Dailies it has to be off or the assist muffled pretty much everything so I haven't had it on since before I got banned for a month.

These Gr2 have much more throttle overseer and so its challenging trying to learn the countersteering and throttle control at the same time I feel once I get a feel for the car in a competitive environment I will cut off the CSA again.

TC I adjusted throughout the race, 1 to 3 going with tire life. Hate the feeling of it tho :/

Naaa...you’ll love it. It’s the only way to fly!

Ah man that is too good. Good for you. What was that dude thinking?

Wow! 18 min to explain wall riding, great job
Thanks, I'm down to a .707 now so I may consider doing a quicker updated tutorial if I can get a bit faster.

Did a C race as well yesterday, didn’t get a time set as I joined with about a minute to go, so started at the back in 18th. Racing was fairly clean, there was some fighting between the cars in front of me so I tried to take advantage of that and a pretty average pit strategy (end of lap 6, mediums to hard, tiny bit of fuel), I somehow ended up in 9th. Didn’t get any penalties and was lucky enough to not be bumped off the track by anyone, so a pretty decent result, Fuji isn’t my favorite, but it’s starting to grow on me a tiny bit :)

I wanted to do a second race, but got booted from it just after the loading screen grr...

I did three races at Fuji last night, using my Lexus. No qualify, just 3 consecutive races.
#1: RH tires. Started 19/20. Dropped back to last at the start, and just cruised behind a group of people. They went off the track everywhere, so by the end of my no-stopper, I was 5th, with about 3 seconds down to 6th. 👍

#2: RM tires. 18/20. It was like a destruction derby. 1 stop. Finished 13/14

#3: RH tires. 20/20. No stop. Finished 7th.

Best lap time in those races was a low 35 :indiff:
After that, I spent some time getting a livery on the GT-R I’m planning on using tonight.

No, you get negative points.
;)
Oh, sr down? :(
Anyways, be me
Do qualifier for daily a
Get a good time that sets me in the top ten
Surprise! I tied with somebody that set that same time beforw me!
No!
Do it again.
Finally get a faster time.
Thought I tied again
Thank god I didn’t, beat the nearest bottom time by 2 thousandths of a second
I almost freaked out, but seeing that calmed me.
I’ll do this race for sure when I get plus back

Short shifting? What FM did you use?
