At least the updates will shake the pack up a bit.
Also, interesting that fuel tank capacities and consumption have been update.
what update to the fuel have they made?
Did you race yesterday @banckzy?
yeah but wished I didnt lol had two awful FIA... I get some sleep notification thing come on my tv when its been on for a certain amount of time. it took up the centre of my screen as I was approaching the chicane on miyabi/yamagiwa in 4th place with S/S driver leading the pack![]()
Let me mention the driver of the last hour on Monza: the serious .sshole 'papayoda' under German flag, as the one we can be proud of.
10th lap, overtaken before the last chicane without any contact, then he was divebombing in the last corner. Gained 1 position, I lost 2. No penalty could be seen on the post-race screen. So.. well done, papayoda! You're fast, clever and fair.
Not.
I wanna simulate the Monza race on custom race to see what my pit strategy will be, but I can only put x10 Tyre wear (actual race is x15). What were your strategies?
'cause I din't want to be so explicit to include the leading "a".Why do you type '.sshole' ? Met him once some time ago, yes, seems to be notorious 👎.
... the leading "a". ...
How do people decide which car to use? Mustang appeared on the timing charts early on and lo and behold now everyone is using it. BoP should surely allow more than one car to record a top 10 time?
I guess it's trial and error...
I'm just amazed at how quickly the fast guys zero in on the "right" car.
Well, I guess one sets a really quick time then another sees it and tries that car and then it just snowballs.

I imagine that actually the fastest drivers are probably the most experienced across all the cars for certain categories and can probably made an educated guess as which types of cars will do better. For example @zzz_pt pointed out that the Mustang is light and has 600bhp.
When you have a lot of fast friends on your leader boards you can all see the times and the cars which helps refine the educated guess.
I think it's pretty unfair to simply say a few people guess and then everyone just follows, especially given how much (in game) track time those guys have.

I just use the car I'm most comfortable/fastest with.
I don't see the point in following the top10 times to be honest. But for Monza I'd imagine the Aston is also pretty strong for the GR3 event
Aston nowhere near.
How does the Aston fare at Monza? I was told that's the fastest in a straight line598hp to 1300kg to be exact. The GTR is close in power to weight ratio but it's slower.
