Monza makes no fun today, but it is a pretty nice track. Run 3 races now, starting from 9, 5 and 3 position... and everytime at the first chicane they do a mass crash. No chance here, even in A/S... otherwise it would be really great races![]()
It was always going to be the case sadly, only takes one aggressive driver and everyone is having contact as you are pushed into the car/s in front. I've seen people not even bother to brake, one impact into the side door of a poor unsuspecting driver could have killed him if it was real life, the impact was that bad and he went for second to almost last in one corner through no fault of his own. This is S safety too, can't imagine what lower ones are like.
I've just tried it. In my hands at least, it's over a second off my time in the Mustang.
on average how far are you from top 10 times?
They really need to get the balance right ffs
Biggest problem is still the people! They will always choose whats slightly faster, even if its only .001sec
Guess those guys are also fans of Bayern or Real Madrid. Not because they like what they're doing, but they like winning.....I hate those people![]()
What's your car of choice for Monza then Mitch?

Right now, the SLS. But I haven't tested any other, except the Lexus.
And btw, I just quit another race. The divebombing and ramming just got ridiculous. I'm now at SR B again...
Guess I'll try to get even lower now, as the SR S drivers are the worst! I had way better races in SR A/B so far![]()
Choosing bayern is like being left with the ugly one its either real or barca
Or both. Plus Man City.

It is a complete shame of the rating system. When I was pushed out in last corner and lost 2 positions, I was quite sure that the one pushed me get penalty, so just 1 place lost. No. He even didn't have a red dot... (In fact he was rewarded with the position.)Ohhh come on! This is just ridiculous
Second race was hell though. All those Mustangs trying to squeeze past me in corners, forcing penalties over and over. FFS![]()

No, it`s way slower than the mustang. The long straights aren't long enough to get the maximus highspeed. It has a max speed about 284kmh/176,469mph. But it is slower in acceleration than the mustang, and in this case you loose round about 1.5 - 2 secs per lap.Wouldn‘t the Peugeot be fast in Monza with the long straights? As it is also dominating in Tokyo.
When you have a BoP system in use in real world racing to make the competition more equal between makes of cars within a class the drivers use the same car for the entire season. How do they balance every car to be equal at every track? That's not how balance works, that's not even how the cars work... some cars are better than others on some tracks, and others are better on others. Either you get good at what works best or you choose your battles.
I gave Monza a try, think it's the first race I've been in where everybody got a penalty! Having said that I did manage to go up 9 places, from 13th to 4th......Ok, one last try at Monza. If its destruction derby in the first round again, I'll go and race the Supra![]()
Except that isn’t the case. When you have a BoP system in use in real world racing to make the competition more equal between makes of cars within a class the drivers use the same car for the entire season.
The races are held across a predetermined series of circuits where car A may have the advantage in round 1 and 3, car B has the advantage in round 2 and 6 and car C has the advantage in round 2 and 5 and round 4 no car has a clear advantage so over the course of a season in the real world the advantages sort of even themselves out so the system works pretty well.
Each race has the same mixture of brands of cars as the race before and the next race that will be upcoming.
In GTS except for the manufacturers championship all races are a one off race and each driver has the ability to change cars at will. A BoP system that is a vanilla system across the board will do exactly what has become common in GTS sport races as the races will be mainly populated by which ever car the BoP has granted an advantage.
The only way to make the one off system fair across all brands of cars across the class is to set the BoP independently for each car at each circuit so that the total lap time the cars are capable of on any given circuit will be within a variance close enough to not really influence car choice over personal likes of the car or its actual driving traits which would still differ from car to car.
As long as one universal BoP system as is now used is in place you will continue to see races being dominated by one or two makes of cars within a class at many circuits.
The biggest reason the Mustang is filling the leaderboards is because it's a straight line car and Monza suits it perfectly. I bet tomorrow you won't see many Mustangs, if at all. The cars in general need to be more balanced but I don't mind certain cars having a slight advantage on certain tracks. For example the Mustang is strong on the straights but not as strong in corners. It all just needs to be balanced out a little better, and certain cars need to be brought into the pack, such as the Subaru, Huracan, Alfa, etc. I have no idea what PD is doing on that front. Half the cars in each class aren't even usable if you want to win.Biggest problem is still the people! They will always choose whats slightly faster, even if its only .001sec

And the problem isn't the people. Why are you blaming them for choosing the car that has a slight advantage that will give them a better chance at winning? Especially in Sport mode? You want them to purposefully choose a slower car? The idea is to win, period. That's what racing is.
