Laughing at people riding off the desert on the corners of Willow Springs....until I did the same due to late braking.

Went from 8th to 12th. DR dropped about 1k, SR is now 99/99 from 87 though.

Nice. 3 clean races is good going! What track did you use to get them?

I'm hoping to get back into SR A tonight... Yama+Miya should be good.

Did them in the Gr.4 race yesterday. 3 laps on Yamagiwa were pretty easy. At least when you start in the Top3 :)

Race B for me then :).

Seriously what is the point of Race A ?
It exists purely to raise my DR score. I've got qualifying sorted for low n class cars on this circuit and have been punching above my weight (BS) all evening.

I didn't used to like Yama much, but now it's one of the tracks I can do without thinking about.

You think it's an issue at the server side, not a lapse in your connection?

This is what was happening to me yesterday... one or two hours before the servers went to maintenance... my Dr went down a bit!
This printscreen was the 3rd time happpening and my Internet is actually good (have no problem playing other games like PC2, Division, GR...)

So people with less experience can try out Sport Modd I guess. Lots of people can't be competitive put of the bad with a Gr.3 or Gr.4 car. With a slower car you have more margin of error and more time to react and decide what you want to do IMO.

I do get that (and I do like the One Make races), but do it on a track not an oval :)

Thanks to a few wins in Race C against SR:B opponents, I'm now in DR:S SR:S. Which is a bit flawed because it's easier winning in an SR:B race than it is finishing in the top 12 of the top SR:S race. But you get a higher driver rating for winning against lesser competition.

nope, this is not true, your DR points rise way more if you have higher ranking opponents

Yes, but I am arguing that it is harder to finish in the top twelve of the elite than beat a field of SR:B drivers, but I have gotten more DR points for the latter.

I was in high SR:S for two weeks and yet I was never above DR:A. Now I've spent two days at SR:B and dominated, now I am DR:S.

So I ventured into the 3 lap daily B and did 3 races in a row (with Poles and Wins), and only got <1000 DR points.

Not as bad as I though it would be. I think Kyoto Yamagiwa is decent because it's almost impossible for anyone to bump into you in the first corner, so you can then pull away to safety.

Might do a few more races today.

Did you get 1000 Points for each win or for the 3races together. 1000 for each would be a good yield. My Qualyfy time is a 2:15:843, don‘t know if I shall give it a try. 3 laps...hmm.

so let me understand this, DR:A SR:S player (you) playing against a bunch of DR:A SR:B players and you got easy wins? (seemingly enough to bump you to DR:S, congrats by the way)

This is exactly the same error I got while playing last night. It happened three times, DR down (about 1000 points) and SR from 79 to 73 without racing.

Did a 1:16.1 lap in qualifying in the Audi TT for the Group 4 race, only to discover that this is yet another M4 cup event (At S/S level anyway)!

The M4 doesn't even need any fuel management to not require any fuel at all in the (necessary for tyres) pit stop! I know, I had to try it after the TT.

The M4 is just too good still compared to the other cars. Hard to get the maximum out of it using DS4 though, unlike the FWD cars. Only visual clues when it snaps. Great for the wheel users though...

Starting to prefer even the Megane to the boring M4, even though it has been killed in the latest BOP.

Less than 1000 for the 3 races. 200, 300, 500.

Try the Huracan Gr. 4... can get away with no pit on that. Tyres aren't too bad as well, as it is 4wd.

I was chasing down the leader yesterday in Yamagiwa and I knew I was going to get him at the next turn since that was where I closed the gap the last 2 laps. The lights flickered, and I thought that was weird, kept driving......then boom. Darkness. PS4 turns off...... LOL . And then the light comes back on.

I was going to be a DR B even if I finished 2nd since the room was mostly B and C DR, but instead I lose so many points I'm at the lower cusp of a C again. All I could do was laugh, grab a beer, and go watch TV with my wife after that.

Gr3 at Yamigawa+Miyabi? Might have to try it. The last time Q time I remember for it was 0.2 off TRL_AUGH when it was used in an FIA event - I can't entirely remember the exact Q time, unfortunately.

Hopefully I can get my DR to keep going up, I'm on 65,758 atm.

I will try it, thanks, was this no pit stop race that you did at S/S or A/S level?
Neither  it was B/B on Dragon Trail on Saturday... I was the only player to not pit. Was 16 seconds ahead with 3 laps to go, won by 6 seconds in the end... but have also used it on Nurb GP, Yamagiwa+Miyabi and others - just keep the fuel map up and keep adjusting it (1 on straights then up to 6 in areas with lots of corners)

9 times out of 10 on the long races I don't pit and definitely benefit from it. My biggest record is starting 16th and finishing 4th.

I wouldn't recommend it here, the left tyres are wrecked badly, if anything the M4 looks after them better but there is not much between the cars pace wise.

On Dragon Trail both left wheels were nearly completely red but it still moved absolutely fine, I just had to brake slightly earlier to compensate

Audi TT at Yama works fine, I'm B/A and I was faster than the M4 lot in my lobbies. Running wihtout any assists except stability one. I got 1:41:2 during qualifying period, don't know how laptimes decrease for upper levels drivers (DR A and DR S). Do you mean A and S drivers are all using M4 for GR.4 races?

In S/S at Yama yesterday, you had to lap under 1m40.0 to be in top 6 on the grid. TT was ok there because it was the no fuel or tyre wear race B. M4 still won lol! I am talking about fuel and tyre wear - the M4 is the daddy in this respect.

At B/A, yes I can believe many cars are still competitive, because the driver performance variance is so much bigger than car performance variance...

DR A was 1:40.5 or so on average. However, I saw 1:39 a couple of times.
