It's strange how much the track limit penalties differ between tracks. Maggiore is extremely lenient, while for instance Monza is very strict.

Tokyo Express from yesterday’s race A seemed pretty lenient too for penalties. If you got anything, it was pretty easy to burn off.

Gr.1 is good fun today, 2 clean races so far, 12 laps, nice and fast. Of course as soon as I get a decent start position in 6th the game crashes right after the warm up... Time for dinner.

It winds me up that there are fast people who have no race craft, obviously great at hotlapping but have no consideration for others on the track. I won't name names but France is not in my good books tonight! Race 1 T1 I got smashed wide, race 2 see him do it to somebody else on another corner. Massive bug bear of mine!

A. Tokyo inner loop Toyota 2000gt '67
B. Suzuka Corvette C7 road car
C. Kyoto Yamagiwa GR.3

If I remember correctly, just turned it off.

GR.1 on Monza went better for me than Bathurst. Trying to go without a pit stop did not go well, lost all the DR I gained on Monza and then some. The last race went better, full out and there also was less ramming and crashing. Starting in the back of the pack on Monza was tough yet over after T1. Starting at the back of the pack on Bathurst can be a mess for several laps.

Here's a compilation of T1 in 5 races on Monza, the joy! Even though I got knocked to last place multiple times I always managed to get back to 7th to 5th, usually with the only non red dot finishing time. It helps when you stay on the track :)

That's SR.S with DR.S to DR.B in the rooms

What a cluster!

Question: If you race in Nations Cup/Manufacturers Cup before the Top 24 Superstars race on the same day, do your points count towards the possibility of entering the Top 24 Superstars race?

I think it's the top 24 DR ratings who are selected from those who try to enter the race.

You can't compete in two races of the same type on the same day anyway.

I feel compelled to quote my own post and eat some humble pie, having just finished another race at Magi and having had a good race with a guy called de_pic, but with a few mistakes on my part which gave him a couple of shunts to the rear. It's very easy to brake a fraction too late in the gr1's, even a fraction results in enough difference in stopping distance to hit the car in front. It resulted in a comical last lap as I caught him up from a couple of seconds back, enough to get a draft down the hill - not enough draft to pass, but too much draft to accommodate an easy to judge braking point! He went a bit wide from the bump, I could have passed but let off in an act of sportsmanship. He then struggled to regain composure with me behind and on the final straight he appeared to slow right down. I really didn't want to take position as I felt it was unjust, so I backed off too. He then slowed down to a crawl (maybe fuel issues, who knows!) and I refused to pass, resulting in the slowest race to the finish I've ever witnessed! :D

If you want to do the Superstars event you can't do any of the prior timeslots, and is decided by the 24 best DR scores, not championship points.

To get into the Nations Cup Top 24 race in Europe tonight you probably needed a DR score of at least 65,000 (I was ranked #22 and mine was 65,285 pre-race). Manufacturers is a bit 'weaker' (I was #14 even after a slight DR hit at Monza)

Would love to see a replay of this one.

Was the only atenza guy on today's daily b top10, until the alien @Iceman showed up

This vantage must be the new fad... not sure why around Interlagos, the Atenza seems perfect for it. Sadly it's a magnet for getting punted on the first lap as its straight line speed isn't the best.

Run 4 races as pole, and lost first position twice, first and second corners are very hard to sustain position, specially against meganes, but managed to win all 4 , The reason I play this car is how it is easy to drive on DS4.

Wasn't too happy with today's selection and only did a few races, mainly A and B.
A was actually quite fun, I however managed to just barely clip the wall on the exit of the corner three times in three races and it instantly spins you out :boggled: My final race before I stopped playing saw some belgian guy simply brakechecking me twice on the exit of T1 :banghead: Hit him when he did it first, did not receive an SR-down and managed to avoid the brake check by millimeters in the following lap :O That guy was so furious after that he punted out the two drivers that overtook him too after he did the brake check on me out in the next corner. What a 🤬 S/S driver.
Interlagos was, as expected a wreckfest, I had a few nice battles but still not really fun.
And regarding Gr1... I really need to get more experience with those cars, I'm beyond slow... But at least I had a nice 4 lap battle for P16 with a McLaren VGT 👍

Needs a Group 4 Nurburgring 24h race.
Only Nordschleife would be better, the GP track (mainly first corner) is pure cancer 👎 It however helps sorting the field a little before entering the Nordschleife as it's really hard to overtake people that constantly block you and are in your way in corners :boggled:

OK I jinxed myself... Interlagos I’ve fell all the way down to D/E. Some really insanely dirty totally unecassary moves from people

I started the day in B/B by the way lol.

Trying to get my ratings back up but very difficult to do right now

Today was one of the first times i actually drove the Gr.1 cars. Damn these things are fast ! Went with the 919 and it is a beast. The way it brakes, corners and accelerates is unbelievable. Managed a 1:38.300 but felt like a 37 was possible for me, just couldnt string a perfect lap together yet with this beast.

Did one race as well that i ended up winning. Had a battle in the first lap and my race nearly ended as i was just able to avoid a very late move to the inside. He managed to make it stick and there was no contact so i guess it was a legal pass but damn i nearly had a heart attack.

That Interlagos race is very slow!!!
Specially after racing the Gr1 Lago Maggiore....

I know what you mean, I just did the FIA Suzuka Gr.3 race after doing some hotlaps in the 919 on Maggiore and it really threw me off. The speed, grip, and braking were all so much worse in the Ferrari Gr.3. The 919 feels like I'm playing Wipeout.

It's usually a Mazda that dive bombs in that corner, I've been hit there 3 times today. However the 919 accelerates much faster out of that corner, overtaking on the inside there in a Mazda is pointless.

I did a couple of races, starting from 6th to 3rd. Get hit in the first chicane and work my way back to starting position during the race. Always T1... I wonder if we'll get GR.1 Nurb 24h. It would be nice to have 3 laps on that track.

I went from 99 to 88 safety points in 4 races (still a SR B) at Interlagos and figured I’d had enough. Was able to win 1 race but got punted around so much the other three races that finishing in the top 10 was a struggle.

My message at the beginning was “Take it Easy on turn 1!!!!!”

Its a shame that you can get bumped and drop three spots, which are hard to get back if you’re not willing to bump your way past also.

I keep getting bumped into turns and shoved into the car in front of me...interlagos is the worst for it. Seems like 75% dive bomb to pass, since there is no other way unless someone makes a mistake.

Finishing mid pack most of the time and staying at B/S for so long is getting tiresome.

There's few things in GTS that have been more satisfying than jumping to lightspeed in the 919 as someone tries to dive in on a corner. I wish GTS had that real feeling of speed and acceleration all the time.

* That's if the match-making puts you in a field of dive-bombers. (Did only one race, but turn 1 for my low SR of B was clean) will try to put-up a short replay once the PS4 is free

Hey, think i was in a few races with you, with that idiot blatantly ramming and break checking everyone 🤬 , oh and i also met that wall a few times, but otherwise managed to get 2 wins, some poles and 4 clean races in a row, hope to meet u on the track again

Isnt 2:17 a Divebomb?

Isnt 2:17 a Divebomb?

Depends who you ask. He's also cutting the corner, 4 wheels over the white line, yet that also depends on who you ask :)

Today I could pat myself on the back again for being in the elite 'no red dot' club in the GR.1 races. So many habitual corner cutters in Gr.1 The board would look very different if penalties carried to the end!

Up next:
A Suzuka East 5L Toyota 2000 GT '67
B Alsace Village 3L F150 SVT Raptor
C Dragon Trail Seaside 10L 6xF 9xT GR.4

Hmm, none seem enticing, slow Sunday after Gr.1

Yeah, Sundays always seem to be a bit lackluster for Sport mode. From Gr.1 Maggiore to F-150s on Alsace... it's feast or famine with PD.

What I would really prefer is something like 5 race options each day. 3 that change daily, and 2 that last for a week. I miss the days when dailies were weeklies; the racing became more exciting as the week went on.
