Still dont get the penalty and sr system going into second chicane at monza im clear on my own in 3rd and guy comes through at full speed and wipes me out sends me to the inside of the track and i get a 10 second penalty and sr down. Last time i participate at monza people just have no idea how to race properly on that track
 
Did Monza, good respectful race, usual mishaps, nothing intentional from anyone, and no cheating. I'm in 4th place, go for pitstop for fuel end of lap 7, figure come out fighting for 6th place, clip pit wall, (dreaming of 3rd place) end up reset on start finish straight with fuel for 1/2 lap. THEN slowly make it to nxt pit stop and only put enough fuel in for 1 more lap, total screw up. Finished 18th. Ha. Karma.

but it didn’t save my video, got a message saying my storage was full, I have about 50gb free space on my PS4... is there a limit for GTS?

Yes unfortunately GTS has an internal replay limit. It seems to be based on some arbitrary in-game disk space limit and not your actual HDD space. It's incredibly stupid, I've had to delete a lot of really great sport races because of it. :grumpy:

You can always share the shareable ones (short enough) and delete them. They’ll be in your shared library and you can download them whenever you want to watch them! Uploading them to YouTube is another great option.
 
Did about 7 races @ Monza, best was a 4th place.

Somehow managed to keep my SR at max - I consider that a better result than if I'd got a win..... :D

Just had a great race at Monza with GTR Freak in second. I think i glitched and hit you after you overshot the braking zone at the first chicane but otherwise i had no contact with you, even after two of my mistakes you could have slammed my arse but you slowed and went around, before I regained 1st later on in the lap. I enjoyed our brief exchanges
 
Was expecting northern isle speedway to be absolutely carnage but actually wasn’t too bad. Raised 8 places up to 6th
 
Just as I thought I wasn't going to play any more, I set a new challenge for myself, how many races can I complete on Monza being the only one without a red dot at the end. End result 6! I even managed to win one, and get second place in another. 2 other races had one and 2 other racers without a penalty in it. And 3 more I unfortunately ended up with a penalty.

One after some idiot kept swerving, pushing me off the road whenever I got alongside, cutting me off and blocking all over the place for 2.5 laps straight until he finally managed to plant his car right in front of me at the last moment to get himself punted in the second chicane. Of course big time penalty for me. He still had 11 sec penalty left himself at the finish and a red S.

Second time I was boxed in on all side on the way to T1 on lap 2. I was on the outside, caught in the slipstream of the car in front of me that started braking early to I guess slot in after the car next to him. I see I'm not going to lose enough speed in time and do the honorable thing to bail left off the track not to hit him or the car beside me. I overshoot slightly, stop, turn 150 degrees back into the chicane after the traffic has passed, lose time and 4 places, still drive the chicane as intended and get rewarded with a 17.4 sec penalty for my efforts.... The game actively punishes sportmanship behavior!

And third time, this doozy

He came out of the pit, crossed the line without looking, I change course to avoid, then he changed his mind or something. There's a white line there for a reason. I get a 10 sec penalty and to add insult to injury, he overshoots the chicane, resets after it and gains 2 places. This game...

Anyway, fun racing overall with a couple of great tight races and I got pretty good results without a single short cut penalty in 11 races. Really it's not that hard not to cut corners! SR maxed, DR back up, just shaking my head at all the cars bumping over the curbs and yellow whatchamacallits. Suspension damage would make these races more interesting, as well as permanent penalties.

No chance, it's not even the dive bombing that is the main problem, loads are just pushing people about. Sadly even a gtp tagged driver felt the need to brake check me and try to force me off track just for a win, the thing is I had a ton of penalties anyway due to the harsh track limits and also being pushed about previously. Still came second too because most had penalties. :lol:

The track limits are utterly ridiculous! I just did a few qualifying laps and it seems the kerbstones are off limit. No wonder everyone gets so many penalties.
 
I played yesterday monza only once. Was a gently race without crashes and mostly fair play. First place cheated tires multiple times. But a good race anyway. Climbed up from 9th to 3rd!

 
I only did the 86 race last night... was actually quite good fun after doing a good bit of qualifying to get to grips with it. Gained DR and SR which is the main thing :) Nearly back to pre-weekend DR now :lol:

I did this race too and quite enjoyed it. Managed to clip the grass on the last turn and spun the car, but was glad to see that my closest rival spun in sympathy with me. Still managed to finish third and stop the decline from the last few days.
 
Thanks @Blacki2k2 Guess I'll spend my time on Big Willow hotlapping/flying through the desert in a billowing cloud of dust then.
If you feel unenthused like me, try the wrs time trials. Great fun and the ultimate test of circuit experience and honing your skills on the edge. :)

Yeah, it is quite a risky thing to drive on Suzuka with such narrow road... one touch of the grass and you are gone. I started one race in 8th and finished 4th after just keeping focused and passing people who went off the track :lol:

Bad for Race C. Another day for cheaters to level up...

And another day of skipping, first corner at the Nurb GP track is as bad as Monza's :crazy: Might as well spend the evening in the livery editor then :boggled:

O wait. Are you only play Kyoto? Seems all other tracks are tight in the first or second turn. :)

It's not so bad on Nurb I don't think.. probably as players are more used to it than Monza.
