Kudos to the guys in Daily Race C today, 5 races, 5 clean hard fought races. Even managed 3 podiums and p4,p5 with my new brake spring

So far B:S seems to be massively more predictable and clean than C:A/S

:gtpflag:
Yea was som Nice racing atleast ur name looks familie haha i think i was in but could be someone els

Yea..... I had one go at that race and thought no, just no.

I would help if it was actually a big oval and not a micro crashfest one....

Having just won a race on the oval it's easy if you qualify on the first row. If you're second, keep the inside line. If you're in pole, immediately cut across and take the inside line. Then you're unpassable.

Also, people would choose whatever car is in the Top10. If they see 10 Gr.3 Lambos, they would all choose this one, for sure

That is why we desperately need a Top 1000 with all regions and filtering per car, so people can see what is possible with „their“ car and see how close you can actually get with that car!

I had some great races today, really fun in A/S. Went from 15th to 7th, 15th to 14th and 14th to 4th in my three Race Cs. The main thing I realise whenever I play is that clean racing is 99% (well that may be a bit of an overstatement) down to YOU. If you put yourself in the right place when racing and don't let emotions control you then you will have a good time and will be able to focus on proper racing. It just frustrates me when I see people on here complain about clean racing etc., when they are almost certainly exacerbating the problem in some way, like putting their car into the wrong place in corners or retaliating against other peoples' aggression. Just keep calm and worry about yourself and yourself only.

I’m with you. I was in 5th today in the Fittapaldi race and #3 went off track, came back on, and hit #4 into me. Both me and #4 went back to the pack but we both raced well and got back into the top 10. These things happen, it’s just a game - let it go and enjoy the ride!

I did that to a guy tonight but it was entirely his fault, I’m farming SR so was keeping clean, he defended his 2nd position but must have thought I was further away so I just cleaned him out!

Too lazy to bust out my wheel right now, but this Fittipaldi thing is a real mess on DS4. I can never tell what it's about to do. Going through the turns smooth and it suddenly cuts inward as if it hit a dip, but it happens everywhere even on flat ground. The car keeps doing this wishy-washy thing too where it's bobbing like a boat. Really annoying.

It's the easiest to drive of all the MID engined cars. No more weight to the rear than any other MR.

I don't know this for a fact, but I have a feeling that even though the 911 is now Mid-engine, the engine might still be further back compared to the 458/Huracan/R8, and therefore has a greater rear weight distribution? It just feels that way to me when I drive it, but it could be in my head, idk.

Because it's not really mid-engine. It's still in relatively the same spot but I believe it's been positioned differently so the gearbox isn't in the same place. It's that area that the gearbox was taking up that prevented them from properly doing a rear diffuser and that's why they changed things. To get a rear diffuser and be more even with the competition.

After a horrible night yesterday on Interlagos with the Gr1s I had a blast today with the Fittipaldi. 5 races, 5 wins 2 poles, 4 fastest laps and 3 clean races. Best night on sport for me so far. 44 wins out of 416 races. Still pretty decent I guess

Hah. Myself (first place) and second place were accused of cheating after my most recent Grp. 4 Dragon Trail race.

I mean, can see how it’d be possible for me to pull off that tyre bug on my out lap following my pit stop but second place didn’t pit at all and was actually quite slow due to his non-stopping strategy.

I got put to shame yet again in the C race...
At 01:30 deep in the night with a 1:45:489 quali time (1.8s off the best time and 1.4s off the best time that was done with the M4 I was using) I started from 12th grid position.
Again two mistakes plus wrong strategy plus everyone else practically making no mistakes plus apparently wrong strategy = 18th place and -1000 DR... at least SR is back to 99/99 now.

No pit stop seems wrong, you need fresh tyres also with the M4? Fuel would be no problem.

Also many other drivers seem overly aggressive, trying to overtake from way way back, despite me hitting the ideal braking point pretty perfectly.

And what is the deal with this downshifting? In the best lap times with M4 I constantly see people shifting to 2nd gear and then immediately back to 3rd - in a curve that clearly is a 3rd gear curve (that possibly is even doable in 4th without losing any time).

Engine braking, I do it with certain cars.

I have a wheel and I thought the Fittipaldi did the same thing. I raced it four times and had my ass handed to me every time. Had to switch to the C race just regain my self-respect.

Got a win on the Dragon Tail race C with the Genesis Gr4, don't think I ever seen anyone win with the Genesis- and I was up against a field of M4, Huracan and VAntages. Genesis behaves well with worn tires, I was surprised.

Did the Fittipaldi Kyoto race earlier and somenoe was super salty against me over something that was his fault, he slowed down on the next lap and waited for me to try and take me out (but failed).

Race C - Autodromo Lago Maggiore GP, Group 3 (x5 fuel and x9 tire for 10laps)
Race B - Monza with Group 1 (Four laps)
Race A - One make Atenza sedan @Interlagos (Three laps)

Didn't we just do this? 2 weeks ago I made this

I guess the big chance is 4 laps instead of 5. Even more pressure on T1!

A/S level race - Gr4 @ Dragon goes one of either 2 ways:

1) Carnage
2) Avoid carnage and make up places

Even if you do your best to avoid option 1, it'll easily find you, most likely coming out of chicane when track is blocked by crashed cars that haven't ghosted. If you ease off or brake to avoid, you get hit from behind, making the carnage even bigger than what it was originally.

Many thanks to French dude who tried to make a new breed of car by merging his M4 with the back of my Viper, multiple times in last race 👍

Had exactly this in my B/A (although there was 1 DR/S and 8 DR/A in the grid) then B/B race. Everyone finished with red SR both races. Spent an hour qualifying which turned out to be a waste of time  ah well.

* Looks fun, but the sprint to the first corner would/could be carnage

"sprint"?

"sprint"?

*Sprint - aka the rush to the first corner after the start.. that's usually carnage in a group 1 class especially if your not in the flavor of the day car.

Sorry, I read Monza as Atenza :dunce:

Edit: so my comment was making the point that there is no "sprinting" in an Atenza

Damn that's me there with the finnish flag.. I think I won that race.. In the next I was rammed just like you :D

Fittipaldi was fun to lap but it was a difficult car to race with. I had no problems staying on the track while hotlapping but the two races I took are another story. Climbed a few positions in the first lap but then went on grass.. Went to the Atenza oval after that.

Atenza race for me, I reckon. Need to get my SR back after last night.

For some reason I just completely bottled the races... the chicane particularly... after doing an hour of qualifying and getting a 1.46.33, I was put in a grid that read

1. A
2. S
3. A
4. A
5. A
6. B (me)
7. A
8. A
9. A

And I basically **** myself. Either braked too much, too little, too late or not enough through the chicane and ****ed it. Finished 13th but only lost 100 DR points

I found that the fittipaldi race was difficult, especially if you didn’t use ASM or CSA... my race was full of Aliens who seem to never spin out even on the grass  yet without those assists the kerbs felt like laminate flooring

Todays races are totally skippable.. :(

What are they today?
