Today's race C was again at my favourite racetrack Bathurst so I had to give it a shot and spent some time to get a good qualifying time.
I managed to get into the top10 again. :dopey: This time I manually saved my best lap in qualifying mode and this way it is also available in the top10 for everyone to watch.
By watching @Zkippe 's replay video of his insanely fast lap, I managed to shave off nearly half a second of my previously best laptime!

Well now I definitely feel like I'm a noob when it comes to this game, I had never noticed that option to replay videos in
the 10 performers before, maybe this might help me actually improve my times a bit.

I used to find racing late at night was the best time for me, the races were clean and I could compete more towards the front. Just done race B again and like last nights late races, it was marred by another deliberate rammer.

Lost 10 SR points thanks to a Greek guy squashing me into a wall on the main straight. Didn't report him as there were a lot of cars in close proximity at the time, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Replay shows he caused it all, and was ramming/blocking every car in sight. Sad. SR:S race too.

Overall, a good day though. Much happier with these rules in Sport mode, had some good fights that would have ruined my race under last week's system, and have recovered the damage to both my SR and DR from yesterday's destruction derbies at Interlagos.

Jesus lord I just did 3 Bathurst races and rage quit in one of them (the one i had pole on since I fell to last place on the first lap), some rather impolite drivers, one guy drove off the course into the dirt and gets back onto the track in front of me and I attempt to drive around him as I'm going full speed and he's going 2mph and he jerks directly into my path on purpose to block me and I get a 3 second penalty for ramming him then I try to catch up to him to divebomb him and slid off the track myself.

Can you report a driver after the fact or does it need to be immdiatly after the end of the race, where the drivers/times are listed?

That’s an interesting livery in your signature. A McClaren with a Ferrari emblem? Got any pics?
;)

I like it. Does it upset people in lobbies?
Thanks! Yes it does  usually people would ram into me, not let me pass, etc. especially when they're in a 458 Italia
Usually this gets me pretty upset but on those cases I can't help but laugh haha. Especially when I beat those 458 Italias

I find you need a car with plenty of torque to climb up the hill and maximise the corner exits on the straight.

Good advice on the turn! What car would you suggest for torque? I have brake bias +2 on the Atenza.

So here is a new one....I slow down to get into the pits in Bathurst and some idiot in a Mercedes who was behind me tries to overtake me while we are on the pit entrance!!!! He side swipes me and hits the barrier and doesn’t make it into the pits (probably reset onto the track). Meanwhile I get a 2 second penalty.....WTF is wrong with people?!?

The first time I raced Bathurst the chicane caught me out. In all my years watching races at the mountain I never noticed it, so I came in too hot, messed up and bounced off the wall. I was respawned back on the track and had to keep going without enough fuel. Once I ran out I pulled over and drove on the grass or off line till the race finished.

Yeah, the Mazda isn't too bad. The Aston Martin, Corvette and Jaguar are pretty good overall. And of course, everyone uses the BMW M4! The Viper has grunt, but is too thirsty. Otherwise, stick to what works for you.!

I tried the Nissan GTR and it had great spunk up the mountain. Would have matched my time unless for that I made a stupid mistake.

I was too used to the pit entry in GT6. Therefore, my first time racing Bathurst today, I cut the pit entry just enough to get a penalty. Still drove back into the lead but I somehow pushed the share button on my wheel on the last lap. Ended up 3rd. Made up for it by running away with it the other race.

Bathurst was amazing tonight, the penalties are much better now. The few dirty racers quickly disappeared and most of the races were as clean as can be. Clean fast rooms, finally.

There was one racer not pitting with the M4, short shifting, yet every time he got caught by the S/S squad in pursuit. He kept winning from me though with a 15 sec lead although I passed him a few times before the pit. The last race he was lagging and as his car stalled it looked like I missed him on my screen, no collision in the replay, no reaction from the cars either, but the game did play the collision sound. I got SR down and it showed a penalty for both of us. At the end of the race he didn't have a red dot, weird.

My lucky escape of the day. I can still catch 4th place

Oh never mind.

got disconnected just after the matchmaking was done (before the race warm up), no DR and SR penalties at all. It seems PD has changed something with the new penatly system..

Is it just me or did the Daily races switch at a later time than normal? I thought they always started the new Daily races at 11:00 pm on US West Coast, but when I looked last night, they were still the same. Not sure what time they did switch or if this is a permanent change or not. Anyone have info?

It's always 7am in the UK. Presumably this won't be adjusted for daylight saving and will change at GMT +7 all year round.

it is a nice car to drive. i didn't even know the mercedes was in the game until this morning .. i like these 1 make races because they show you cars you wouldnt see otherwise

I enjoyed it after a lap or 2 of acclimatisation... unfortunately, I am aware of its existence (and was hoping it came up soon actually), given I have 4 of them from daily rewards. Got a 2nd and a 3rd in two races last night,

Race A isn’t all that great, either. It’s easier to avoid penalties and collisions compared to yesterday, but the 45 AMG is hardly drivable in its current setup. Nürburgring GP just makes it a little more frustrating.

Undrivable how? I thought it was good fun and pretty pokey for a one-make Daily A.

Sweeeeet. Love Brands Indy. And the A45 :)

Ahhhh.... I’ve had two days off work and both days I’ve had what I think are 🤬 races!

Hurry up and bring me Seaside and Yamagiwa!

From Suzuka on Sunday, basically I got shunted off the track at the chicane on the final lap but the guy justified his actions because "I started it", at no point did I take his position aggressively. Just a bad sport IMO
