I did one Tokyo race on my lunch break, test the waters. The waters are bad. Somehow I survived half the grid not braking for T1, chaos.
Started 5th, finished 5th, but still got a penalty for this:

First I let the diver through like a good boy

That gives him a very slow exit naturally, so I get alongside and as I'm starting to turn in

He simply drives like I'm not there, I go down 8 SR for this and get a 5 second penalty so have to let him win.

Never mind, bye bye Tokyo.

Didn't you know, he was on the racing line - you should've backed out of the corner - I have years of experience in racing and you are definitely in the wrong.
 
Did Race B and C tonight. Both were a bit more like dogems that racing. Spent time on pre-qualifying, couldn't quite get to the time I was after, and started P12/16. I thought I was just about wringing it's neck, but the best time I reckon I could have achieved would have only got me two places higher :dunce:. Through a strange start I sling shotted to 7th before the first corner and held position for the first lap. Dropped down to 8th and found myself in the middle of a pack being bashed around from all 4 sides. It was mayhem and there was a mix of DRs. I made it back to 7th but after a race with no time penalties, copped a 3s penalty coming out of the chicane on the final lap. Down to 9th for me. Mixed DRs, but there was a E/S. How is that possible??

Licked my wounds and on to Big Willow. I time trial qualified with a few cars. It was looking like I was going with the Viper, it felt the most comfortable. Since they fixed the long legs of the M4, I figured it would no longer be popular, so I tried that and set my fastest time. I wonder of they BoP'd them into rally mode like they did at Bathurst :lol:. Anyhoo, set my best time with the M4, so in the end gave it a whirl. P10 out of 20.

The usual carnage ensued. I made a mess of the S and knocked someone off. When I pulled over off the racing line to wait for him to give position back I was royaly reamed by a freight train of 3 cars and off into the dessert I went. I managed for the most part to avoid any more drama, worked my way back up to 10th, but a couple of track infractions had me on 5s of penalties. Once I got onto the final strait of the last lap I pulled over to slow down, but the race ended before I could bleed off the penalty. Finished 12th. I think I need a chiropractor! :nervous:

And also GTAcademy2013, who for some reason didn't qualify. Scared the hell out of me, last to 3rd! Had to run at qualifying pace the whole time as I saw him climb... Scary stuff, I tell you :lol:

2:04.220, good enough for second on the leaderboards :D

Without knowing him, I was thinking the same. Don't really know why PD installed a reporting system when
  1. People don't know the rules very well.
  2. Tend to think they are always right.
  3. Think that everything bad is done on purpose.
3. is kind of a universal problem, for example in politics where people like to think the other position wants to do damage when they actually want to do good - just have another opinion on how to achieve it.
 
Is there any races that are clean? I have to start from SRA if I race tonight, already got the fear in SRS don’t want to DR reset I can’t race that often would take forever for me to get back to A from D. Maybe I will start from the back? And accept the DR loss?

You are right that it is normally not necessary to brake here. You are wrong if you think that you can draw the conclusion from this that it was done intentionally to give you a penalty.

I do not think that he is a beginner who touches the brake unintentionally.

It is also a great coincidence that he unintentionally touches the brake when the opponent is just some meters behind.

I also think think that an incapable player like him should not do the sport mode races.

And what a surprise you come on here to cry about it... how about you show them the previous two laps prior to this and then you’ll understand

What were you even doing on that strategy anyway, what were you thinking?! You knew you were gonna get swarmed upon by everyone, you just so happend to ruin both mine and TRL race in the process, TRL had to literally side swipe you to get you out of the way with all your numptiness.

You just love to shut the door on people trying to make a decent overtake and potentially jeopardize their races with penalties - if I knew TRL had a bad a penalty as he did I would have done it myself!

Incapable player..... hmmmm ok... least I got my laugh in for the day

I find this interesting, in my experience the z4 feels very stable. Also the Lexus. Both I found to be great for stability and acceleration on corner exits.

I am using a pad and not the most subtle with my mashing the accelerator button.... will.try the lexus, had an isf in real life so very fond of them!

I deserved nothing. I also letted him space when he went unsafe back to the track and I leaved the door open in the long right corner.

On a lighter note...

Got my first pole/win/fastest lap/clean race at Nurburgring 1 make cayman race.

Dropped to third cause I didn’t realize it was a standing start, surprised I kept a clean race getting back to first.

I need more wins and also need to stop playing with d pad and x and square

Im not one to usually take sides, but i gotta admit that brake check from Twissy was unfair. All the attempts TRL made to pass were mid corner dives up the inside which Raceface has every right to defend. Hard to tell from the angles but it didnt look like there was substantial overlap from the radar before corner turn-in. Just my 2-cents.

Not sure if you're joking, yet don't cars ever go side by side in racing? How can 2 be on the racing line...

Besides that, it was on a public road with clear lane markings. He made an improper lane change, didn't even signal :)

If it's just a game as you say then why did you let what he did bother you to the point of retaliation? You can't just brake check someone like that and then pull the "it's just a game" card when they take offense to it. That's not cool. Do I think he was being too aggressive defending? Yes, slightly. But I must say you and TRL weren't exactly being methodical or patient in your overtaking attempts either. I didn't see anything that warranted that brake check, or nearly getting rammed off the road on the final corner by TRL.

Yes, I was driving aggressive but not unfair I think. The brake check was not in a relation to my behavor before that.
