Bunch of crappy driver are out this morning. I've qualified well, but then finished poorly from being hit...

I am currently 28 pts above the cut off line for DrA :(

send help pls :(

I don't think I've ever raced Gr.3 at Blue Moon Infield A before. But after my experience of trying Monza "just once" I feel like I should ask: What makes that Gr.3 combo so bad? I like Infield A as a track, but I think I've raced only Gr.4 there.

Finished Race A and B. Little bit of up and a little bit of down. Both races I was matched with my peers for a change.:odd:

First with the Alpine. Had a bit more luck with the Alpine on Kyoto Miyabi than I did with Tsubasa. Qualified P5. Always surprised when I qualify in the top 10 for my race. Made a few mistakes getting a bit sideways instead of a smooth slide. The judges would have scored high, but the drift is used to scrub speed, and that's what it effectively did . Did manage to get a few places back but I had one guy who seemed to be carefull not to crash into me entering corners, when I was passing him on a strait he seemed to be deliberately moving across to push me off! The track in that place is wide enough for 3 cars for pity sake. Finished 7th. Lost 13 Dr but got my Sr back to 99.

Next up Blue Moon Infield. Drove the Viper because I felt it would do OK and I didn't want to spend time trying out different cars to pick the best one. I threw the dice and hoped. I qualified P4, again surprising me. I could never quite figure out the best way to take turn 1, so I was pretty much using the Force on that one and hoping no one rammed me because I was taking it too slow or braking too early. I messed up the first hairpinish corner and went onto the grass and lost a few positions. I was able to somehow make them up and found my way into 3rd. I was carrying a 1.x sec penalty (rounded to 2 across the line). I went from being 3 sec behind 2nd to catching up before the final turn off the infield. Crossed the line with my front bumper in line with their rear bumper. 2sec penalty = P4. The race was fairly clean up my end. Gained some Dr and maintained my Sr.

Another day above Dr 1! :D

I hate myself

I raced with you multiple times on the day at monza. I've been able to reach S for the first time to. Turn 1 killed a lot of my races... Almsot felt like some of the guys at the back were not braking at all.

Approaching T1 I'm more focused on the mirror than anything else. Luckily starting in or near the front I could always find some clear road in front of me to brake out of slipstream and I knew exactly where to brake for the different starting positions. That helped a lot. Plus when you do eventually get hit, you have a good chance of getting a free short cut to get away fast. Actually in one race where I had zero trust in what was behind me I took a voluntarily 2 sec penalty to get through T1 fast and build up a 3 sec lead during the race. Part of doing good on Monza is reading the room well before the start.

Penalties are weird on Monza though. For example the last turn, you can go pretty wide on exit and not get any penalty, yet go wide slightly too early and you get fined even though it's only an inch beyond the line for less than a second. The right hand of T1 is almost 5 sec penalty if you so much as put a wheel too far over to avoid a car, yet driving through the big blocks on the left of T1 is only 2 sec.

The clean race bonus also doesn't make any sense. I've gotten more clean races bonuses with a (minor) shortcut penalty than without...

Monza starts are very tricky as the brake point is different where you start. People that just come out of qualifying and start near the top brake too early, while people in the back get caught in the draft and brake too late. Then you have a few that didn't qualify at all and use the cars in front as a reference, next to the odd dive bomb that likes to over take 10 cars in T1. At least it's never a dull race!

Just did Tsubasa. It was a blood bath. Dropped 9 Sr and a few hundred Dr. Started 12th, finished 12th. Most of the hits were just people out of control with the understeer, but some were people just forcing their way through no mater what the cost. Never again. :grumpy:

Today is I think by far the worst daily setup yet when it comes to preserving sr..
I mean, I managed to drop yesterday to B, and after one Kyoto race today all the way to C:banghead::banghead::banghead:

It's like, you can either race to have fun and sacrifice sr, or get sr back on track and mutilate dr..

I even tried to stay last so I can get at least clean race bonus, but I got rammed by guy overshooting turn and not ghosting up lol:censored:

As usual, overtakes on impossible turns just to get that little extra spot and then hope that the guy with higher dr gets penalty (me), which most of the time works...:banghead::banghead::banghead:

After Monza T1 yesterday I had to build back my SR. First time after 56 days I was back to SR A (79). Well, I was hoping for decent C race.
To be honest, Tsukuba was not I was waiting for :indiff:. But ok tried the GTR... I thought undriveable :yuck:. But sticked on it and got somehow used to the car. Managed a 1.00.390 and was quite happy with it. Still not convinced if should enter a race....Anyway I entered one and saw me on pole (only DR:S in the room) couple of Bs, Cs and Ds. I already saw me resetted to DR 40k as we all know how "fair" penalty systems works in GTS with different DRs :scared:
First standing start went quite well, but of course 2nd placed wants to win in the first turn. Saw that coming and was able to avoid contact, he/she went wide and I got back to 1st place. So, I just need to survive next hairpin and it should work out.. Went also well and I won the race , but was completely sweaty :)

SR back to 99 , also gained tremendous 105 DR points for the win :D

Tried a 2nd race, started 3rd ended 2nd, everything fine and clean (Room with some DR:S, DR:A and some DR:B). But enough GTR Tsukuba for me today. I may try the Nations Cup with the kart.

Blue Moon Inlay A is hella fun with Gr3.. Hope to see it with Gr2 soon..

Messed up so many races today but finally was able to get my first and second wins as SRS99. 1.07.4 as qt and beat it a few times in races. A lot of red dots @ SRS99 there.. Midpack was hell :D

Blue moon bay infield is fun to drive, yet the Sunday drivers are all out in force. I climbed to 54.6K Dr yesterday on Monza, DR.S for the first time, I'll probably be DR.A again next race. 168 points left in DR.S after getting bumped around for 7 races in a row. At least I'm keeping my SR at 99 by avoiding most of the aggressive drivers, enjoy the fireworks from behind...

Tsukaba tonight, as A/S again.Starting in 5th now, maybe I can hang on for 1 more race!

I tried 4 races there this morning and did horrible in all of them. Started out in decent positions (top 10) but thanks to all of the “Sunday Drivers” I got banged and barged around in every one of them. Finished in the lower ranks in all 4 races and lost about 1,000 DR. Switched over to Race A and made 4 runs there. Started 2-2-4-5 in each of those races and finished 2-2-3-5. Gained back some of my lost DR. SR still at 99 thank goodness.

To be honest, I think that's the race I enjoyed the most since the game is out.

Well, started 4th, spun out in the second corner to last place, made it back to 6th, not good enough. Back in DR.A, with a nice extra 1500 loss. I didn't last long enough in DR.S for KudosPrime to record the data point. I avoided trouble anyway, still 99 SR. Time for a break!

Edit: Not that it would have mattered. The next two races I did. First I got bumped from behind for 1 sec, then rammed into the wall on the straight while passing for 10 sec, thus slow down to last. Second, an anavoidable spin out right in front of me, 10 sec, then another bump from behind for 1 sec, the other car got 5, yet 11 sec is game over.

After that I had an awesome clean close battle with another car, so whatever. As long as there are still good people racing I'm there.

I read the thread about Smurf/secondary accounts and other threads about how DR is taken from others or given to them depending on the calculations.

Being at DR A SR S I can't increase DR lately in the daily races unless I pole or P2 then win. I check kudos prime after every race and there were 3 or 4 races that I lost between 100 and 200 DR each race by moving up between 3 and 6 positions and getting a clean race bonus, made me feel like why did I even waste my time.

This particular string of races I was .200 off of top ten qualifying and I was being matched as the only A DR in a rooms full of D, E, and C DR. I started looking up others stats on kudosprime and they were mostly all players with less than 10 days game access running just off and some top ten times????

So being that everybody is pulling from a pool of DR points and it seems like everybody keeps mentioning their secondary accounts lately I'm starting to see this trend as a real problem in sport mode.

For example we have legitimate S S players taking hard earned DR away from others players by top qualifying and winning with their low rated secondary accounts pulling those valuable DR points out of the cumulative pool.

Being that I'm constantly placed with all levels of DR in a race (and don't say qualify faster because this happens when I have a top ten time) what's to stop these chameleon s/s drivers from chasing down the other A/S and S/S using their secondary accounts and punting them off ruining their race and spilling their hard earned DR across the track for the rest to absorb?

Your SR needs to be above 90 to avoid getting matched with D/S drivers

That‘s odd. Usually DR A/S and SR99 always matches you with the aliens

I think the matchmaking is getting screwy with all the experienced drivers throwing down blistering qualifying times on secondary accounts. Being a genuine high ranked driver leaves me bleeding DR in that matchmaking scenario unless they overrace each other and I can get through cleanly to a win that nets a whopping 35 and 40 DR rise because they are low ranked.
