But then you have the 2nd chicane and the Lesmo turns. I've started in almost every position on Monza, and it's an absolute crap shoot at the start. No matter if it's ratings of D/E to B/S. NO ONE knows how to deal with the first half of the track on lap 1.

I don't think it's a case of no one knowing how to deal with the first half...it's how to deal with the first half *with other traffic*!

The full list for today is
Race A -Tsukuba circult one make Toyota S-FR '15
Race B - Tokyo Expressway - East outer loop -GR3
Race C - Brands Hatch Grand Prix GR2

Yeah mad max outer loop racing. Peugeot still the meta for this? May give brands at least one go.

Passed on the Daily races, only did some Q laps thanks to https://www.jasonguernsey.net/gts/fia where i can check up on myself and my form. I think that site adds some value to the game, that imho should be implemented in the game itself. How good are you really compared to the rest of the world.. What is you record on this track, and what did others do. Because when the Daily races are nothing for you, you can browse Decals etc, do some time trials, go look for a lobby or thanks to Jason, you can do Global Time Trials..

So what did i do instead of the daily races...?

Oh God of War. What a game man. Once in a lifetime game.

Bad daily races today. Would skip.

can this people bit more slower? only manage 1:17:635 on GR.2
yes VGT dominating on Tokyo

brb try GR.2 once

Gr.2 on Brands was decent, but too many aggressive people out there right now. Even though I was faster with the NSX, I went with the Lexus for its stability. Though honestly in the race it was a lot more slippery than qualifying; I can't imagine how bad the NSX was. For just doing laps in time trial though the NSX is so fun around that track when you get into a rhythm.

The fuel usage feels off to me on that race. It was 15 laps, but I had to pit at 7, so I basically had to short shift and turn up the fuel map. And I still ran out of gas in the last few seconds. I noticed the same thing in the Gr.2 FIA race today; either you had to limp around for half the race, or pit again for that last lap or two.

And that's how it was basically with FIA race.
I ran NSX and did fuel map 2 for few laps after first pit, then managed to outlive 5-6 ppl on track with that, pit 2 laps before finish and still ended up ahead.

Funny tho, last few hundred meters there was still people limping by..
Guess math failed there a bit:D

wow is the Peugeot GR3 THAT good now?
It has been dominating the east loop for a while, as far as I remember. I had hard times fighting them in NSX and 650S. I guess I already told but I _hate_ to race against nonexisting vehicles. Its physics are unreal.

Unreal?

1:59.323. Just a bit more push and I can get into the 58s!

Anything else close to the Peugeot on Race B?
Looking on the board its all those. May as well be a one make thing.

Edit> After trying a few races the answer seem to be no.

1:59.520 for Race B
I have potential for a low 1:59, or maybe even a 1:58. I just gotta string myself a perfect lap...

It's a one-trick pony for this track

Its 🤬 for purists then.

Right, but what bothers me is that due to the fuel usage and lap ratio PD chose, basically everyone has to run with a lean fuel mix and short shift for half the race in order to compete. That should be an optional strategy, not forced on everyone. If we had two-hour endurance races then maybe I wouldn't mind that, but for a 15 lap race I just want flat-out fast, clean racing.

Tried race C, qualified on a 16.4, got put with the aliens, started P10 was upto P6 at one point but then made some mistakes and fell down the order and also had to save fuel, probably realising too late that I needed to do so. P11 after the pitstops and finished P9 after some people made mistakes up ahead. Got about 700 DR points from the race though.

Yeah. As it's being a virtual GT, so no real life race data about the suspension, transmission, aero, brakes etc. It is only "as if the manufacturer produced a GT3 it would be more or less like this" thing
I would like to see it competing in real race series, otherwise it cannot be taken seriously
Ohhh, I get it. I thought it's about how the car performs that's unreal. It feels like your average Gr. 3 car, except with nice acceleration
I'm guessing they got at least a basic profile of the car from Peugot and the actual VGT, and then adjusted/modified some parts to homologate it to Gr. 3. But since it's all virtual, I get what you're saying

Maybe so but this is what Gran Turismo is all about. Since around Gran Turismo Concept and the like (even before), GT has always used these virtual cars in their games. Its like second nature to me to use such cars. I do like your train of thought on real world racers though.

GR2 is so much fun. You can make up so many places by keeping your cool. The GTR has become my favorite car to drive.

Just finished 2 races at Tsubakabakabaka. Being the crap driver that I am, I qualified P8 for both. First race, I didn't make contact with anybody, got a clean race bonus, but my SR didn't go up :(. Finished P10.

Second race I finished P8. This time my SR went back up to S, and a got my 2 consecutive clean race XP bonus  ! Lost some DR but still clinging on to DR/C. I'll be doing Brands Hatch after midnight, so I expect to drop back to DR/D and probably SR/A :scared:.

Ugh that's not looking good for God of war. GR.2 Brand's hatch is what I've been waiting for.

Last night I got monza'd, dropped to SR.A in a few races, then got a 2 star clean race 3rd to 2nd place and a triple star win in SR.A. Still the same old, can get through T1 in SR.A, impossible in SR.S, there's always someone trying to dive into T1 from the back.

After the win I started GoW yet the week caught up to me and was asleep 30 minutes later. Slow openings, not good. I guess it will have to wait some more as GR.2 Brand's will be hard to put down.
