Rdy for the 2nd Race C.. disconnected from network.. ohh well time for a cold beer and some F1 Qualifying instead.. :) MAGNUSSEN DID GOOD!

Lucky for me 3rd attempt was a success and i had one of those GT-Sport moments, i raced with maddog1245 who had pole with a 906 and i was on 2nd. Days were i actually try a little bit harder to race i have a strategy i call "survive first corner" i know it sounds like a "facepalm that should always be a strategy", except what i do is that i practice the first corner over and over again so that

A) Breaking point is exactly on the dot..
B) I have an alternate line that "blocks"
C) Practice makes perfect'er

On N24 my alternate line is to the right down to the corner and do a nice hard cut over to the GP track. Most people mess up because that corner is weird as hell, my strategy worked and out of that corner without any problems usually means that the race is on

Maddog1245 was fast and i could just keep up, but i could see he was on the edge all the time, when he made a mistake i took the 1st place. After the first pit stop i had a comfortable 5 seconds, except that this dude is fast and i still got some seconds left in some of the fast corners on the this track. With the 5 seconds reduced to 2 i made a small mistake and maddog1245 was having a nice close look at my lovely Anime decal on the back of the Porsche. He stayed there for the rest of the race, and unlike to many GTS drivers he did not force the issue (though he was faster on this part of the track), he waited for a mistake so that he could take advantage of it, that didn't happen. We crossed the line with a few 10th between us.. A race like this is when GTS delivers unlike most other games, a battle over 2 laps with someone that understands what racing is.

But where is the video.. right here ---->

14 Races on Brands Hatch so far. 9 Poles, 10 wins, 12 clean races, and 8 clean races in a row so far.... Gives me only 3000 DR points... LOL

Wow!!!!! Which car, NSX?

I did race A twice this morning, first race started 3rd then 2nd decided he didnt want to be passed and squeezed me into front straight wall, I lost a ton of momentum, finished 7th or 8th then started pole 2nd race and got the win and fast lap.

I had one good race at Willow Springs, but was otherwise booted pushed and rammed all over the place in 3 consecutive races. I started my morning with the Raptor at Blue Moon not expecting much. I didn't qualify and was going to just cruise around the back of the field to raise my SR. Folks started running into things, and each other, and by the time I got to 3rd place I thought maybe I should really try. I didn't get fastest lap, but winning is more important. I just don't know what it is about the Raptor, people act like its Gr.B and just throw the thing around with the expected unfortunate results.

Yh, NSX. Did a qualy of 0.40.315 and mostly on pole. Have always big pressure from behin, mixed up with peoples that have nearly the same time.

Now im at 15 races, 10 poles and 11 wins.... 10 cleans in a row. It is a runner for me today there :-)

Right??? For me this is a momentum race, gotta do everything you can to keep your momentum up because it just does not accelerate. Turn 1 is especially important, if your turn in, braking point, and apex are not really good you can lose an easy 5/10ths and barely notice.

Haaa.

That's how I first tried to drive the thing. I was hoping it would stay slippy and let me drift around the track but it drives nothing like a GR B car.

Once I figured that out, the only tricky part was the gear transition between 2nd and 3rd gear. The transition is laggy as hell and going up hill, there's a scenario where you can hit the peak of 2nd gear but if you switch to 3rd, it would bog down and lose speed. It's almost like you have to retain speed and keep an inertia going in order to smooth out the gear change.

Well....got t-boned on blue moon in field B

Got a 3 sec penalty and the t-boner finished two places ahead...

....get a crappy ps message saying I'm not a fair player HAHAHAHAHAHA

Got my first top 10 at Brands; 22nd in the world...but there were barely any DR A or A+ to race against! come on guys, Gr.2 is fun :)

Brand's hatch Indy was more fun than I thought it would be, mainly from schadenfreude :) Cars flying off everywhere, voluntarily or after a bump pass, just follow the train of flashing penalty signs. I gained plenty positions each race, yet only made one or two actual over takes in 10 races. Competition was tough, my qualifying time was only good enough for 13th place on average, and even though I usually finished 7th with 4th as best, DR remained pretty much unchanged, up 222 points.

My SR never went down and I only got a penalty twice, one from getting rear ended and one where I spun out and got a detour penalty. Pretty great day so far. Then I did 2 laps on Nurb24 for a 9:01 qualify time, let's see if that's enough to stay out of trouble tonight.

Sometimes this game... How do you get to DR.S and be so bad at racing. Two races the same A+ driver dive bombs and keeps sticking his nose next to bumpers to force people off. Then he has a problem with me for taking the racing line on Flugplatz, gently nudging his bumper to tell him to back off so we both don't end up in the grass. Of all places to block the line, just because you can draft a little before the slight right. Unfortunately that gentle 'warning' cost me 4 sec while I already had 10 from a car unghosting right in front of me. (Track re-entry by someone with a penalty that appeared to be slowing down to serve it, but wasn't. +10 to the ghosting system) So I have to slow and let him pass.

He crashes again (did at least 3 times that race) so he ends up behind me again and then bumps me when I'm behind another car, then tries to draft block me again while I'm still behind that car and ends up driving through me thanks to the penalty system. He proceeds to bump into the car I was following and then crashes a bit later again. In the end he still managed to pass me as I had more penalty time left.

Unfortunately that cost me 11 SR, down for the first time today to 88. That places me with B/S and D/S drivers. First lap I'm in second, then get disconnected... -2 SR (I guess I gained some points already that race) and 1700 DR loss.

Next race is up A/S to D/S again, starting 3rd. Can it be a T1 without dive bombs for once.... (it could not)

LOL, I guess another day spent in the garden taking in the sun and drinking some locally brewed beers!!

I watched the Tranmere Rovers game earlier, and I wish we could play with the same passion and belief they had; even with 10 men on the pitch.

We have a good squad, but they are so underutilised! This season was almost as bad as the Walker, Smith days.

Remind me not to join the first race of the day again. What a total mess. Actually I started in 6th without qualifying, room of 18. T1 the car behind me pit manoevers me to last. I get back to 14th avoiding all the cars flying off and into each other, then get punted off at the hairpin on the Nord, back to last. The rest of the race I managed to avoid the cars flying everywhere and finish 4th. 8 people quit the race.

There was a new penalty serving tactic performed by the car in front of me. He kept brake checking me to lose his penalty a bit at the time. The penalty system was ok with that... Luckily the third time he didn't press the gas in time and remained ghosted long enough to get past him. Reported.

Here's an earlier GR.2 race, typical weekend drivers

11th to 14th to 9th to 12th to 7th, 5 quit, and somehow I managed to get a blue rating for that. at least it wasn't boring...

Really a joke the daylies today (again).

I guess in this stupid willow layout is still cheating possible? I don't have words for this.

It comes always back to the same point, which is definitely the main and heavy weakness of GTS:

Lack of tracks

Well after the hit on my DR yesterday with the Cayman I did not want to lose myself. Waking up early and going with the dog at 08:15 in the morning hoping to be on time for the races at 08:30 and 09:00 with the Cayman.

Was just on time for the race at 08:30 (by the second) and was on pole with my quali under 9 minutes yesterday before being dropped back to DR B yesterday. So easy victory....

... if it wasnt for the fact my wheel was not connected yet.... :banghead:

Hitting the L3 button to turn on my radar and nothing happening probably wasn’t a sign. Sigh.

Ah well I am not easy to be taken out of my comfort zone so wanted to start at 09.00 again for my last chance. Untill I discovered that the new daily race starts at 09.00 when I thought 09.30. So had no qualify and gave up. Being customed to the Cayman and needing to win with the 911 was just not meant to be.

Shut down.
