Dont know if my dad is just having a hard time but he swears the cars are way harder to drive now. Have they updated the tire model to the game today?
Nope no update today. What daily race was he doing? Gr. B is a handful, and N24 is brutal for any car or group, so that might explain it
I have a theory where we get not so popular races in weekend so the servers wouldn't crash.
I mean, there's probably more people online on weekend than in weekdays, thus PD trying to balance it out.
We used to have better races on the weekends though, and with no hitches :(

Pah, N24 is the best race for the weekend. It should be:
A. Racing karts Nordschleife 1 lap
B. GR.2 N24 2 laps
C. GR.1 N24 3 laps
There, no other distractions.

Except now the sun is out, it's mother's day, kids want to do stuff, N24 will have to wait. It was fun last night though, although penalties for hitting a car starting ahead in T1 need to be tripled.

we were just racing together online in a lobby. On Willow Spring (hard track for the uninitiated.) And he was in the Vulcan. Enjoying the Gr.4’s atm.

Did Tokyo today - lost concentration for a bit ........... Cheers - have a good day!

I re-entered Race C and was qualified P4 this time (there was a DR/A in the mix). I so totally blew what could have been a good race. I think I found every part of the track that wasn't tarmac, got bashed a few times, spun out 3 times and generally had a miserable time. Usually the section after the Karussell is where I made the most time. Today it was epic fail. I did make up a lot of ground on the high speed sections. In a desperate attempt to salvage some dignity, I rolled the dice and double stinted the tyres. Things just got worse from there. Limped in at P12 without even getting to the finish line :(. No idea what the damage is since Kudos is still taking a nap.

Was it his first time in the Vulcan or Willow Springs? Willow's just as brutal, and the Vulcan's pretty slippery for a car of its caliber. Also horrible brakes :(

Yeah first time with the Vulcan. I personally love it but he was was struggling, even with tcs 2 on. Oh well, he is getting used to it now. :)

I appreciate Nurb 24h, i joined one but with the intent of trying to be consistent which sadly didn't work well.
If i didn't do any mistakes on last lap i would have been able to at least get 10th or higher but alas nothing.
Had fun using the 4C at least

I must be the only one whos happy for N24 2 days in a row
I am too, but I cannot find any motivation to race it today. Neither happy with my quali-time (8:12.7) nor keen on racing with Gr.3 cars today :boggled:

Yesterday was good tho, I was in the Top 5 leaderboards until way into the night. :sly:

I won 8 races and my 500th race saw me win for the 81st time and now I only need 10 more until I get the trophy.

I also had a really close and fair battle with @RaceFace85 in one race

Thanks for the cool livery, @CoolJetta3

Really a joke the daylies today (again).

I guess in this stupid willow layout is still cheating possible? I don't have words for this.

It comes always back to the same point, which is definitely the main and heavy weakness of GTS:

Lack of tracks

If I m not wrong... cheating is only possible on qualifying! During the race it wont work...

Matchmaking is all over the place in race c. Was 18 in a a+ race and next race 3rd with loads of b s drivers. I'm a s myself and the whole top 3 was wiped out by 4th leaving me with a 10 second penalty... I was hit with mach 3 while taking 1st corner... race ruined ended in 6th and ruined another drivers race trying to get rid of the penalty in the process. Not good.

Probably dropped your SR sub 90 in the first race ;)

No got a blue s in that race went from 18 to 10 so it should have been still at 99. Got a red s after the second race though. 3rd race I was matched with fast people like you :)

Was in a race with you yesterday. You were rammed off first lap from pole and came out right behind me. You made a very nice move in the small chicane from very far back. Could follow you most of the lap until I realised you were full saving ;)

I did a couple of qualifying laps, which resulted me getting pole, by quite a wide margin, maybe around 20 seconds. Out of the 18 racers, maybe 9 of them qualified. The DR and SR were spread out too. At the start of the race, the second place person, and I were pretty clean going into Turn 1, but then he got tagged in the rear, at the apex of turn 1, from the third place person. It gave me roughly a 3 second lead coming out of the second turn.

From then on, I kept increasing that gap while they battled amongst themselves. So my main focus was to basically not screw it up for the two laps. I finally was able to get to my 5th win!

Has anyone noticed collisions turning off at random? I’m not talking about ghosting, I’ve seen solid looking cars passing through each other.

I had what appears to be that in several races at Tokyo today. I know at least once my truck was almost inside the other person's through the esses. It got sorted out with neither of us getting penalties. It was strange.

It might be lag. There was weirdness in the hairpin too, I got hit hard by a truck that wasn't there, and felt a couple hard punts other places, even though the closest person was 3 seconds behind me.

I had the craziest / dirtiest race C in a while, lap 2 was even more chaotic than the first one. It did not help that I got bumped off the track in the first lap. He bumped me twice, set up first then goal shot, gave me 1 sec for each bump as well. I had nowhere to go as I was stuck in traffic. Together with other contacts it was the first red S of the day.

Of course bad luck never comes alone. Next race I'm in 4th behind a 1 bar connection. His car is continually stalling in corners and moving erratically over the track. I manage to avoid him for most of the first lap. Unfortunately just before the straight his car stalls again and screws me up so I can't pass him. Then in lap 2 just before entering the Nord his car messes up badly and takes me out. I drop to 8th, now stuck behind a slow car. I get the perfect run on this one after Flugplatz, yet he does a last second block... I avoid it by going in the grass, get stuck behind him again, he suddenly brakes way early, 10 sec penalty. I wait for him to go, serve the 10 sec and get stuck behind another blocker and early braker. Ugh never wait, just go, things only get worse. He brakes in a weird place (no traffic in sight), another 10 sec penalty, and I quit. Sometimes matchmaking is hell bent on ruining your race.

Instead I shaved off 5 sec of my qualify time and the race after went great. No laggy cars, respectful drivers, gained a few places and finished 2nd. Sometimes it is better to simply bow out from a ****** situation.

This was from a earlier race, brought to you by the number eight!

I just did the Gr.B race and I have to honestly say this penalty system needs to be able to know when you've lost control. On the this Willow track, if you slide into the dirt then the car carries on as if you're on ice. And with the track mostly being a long zigzag the game always thinks you're cutting the track on purpose. Made a couple mistakes and got so much time I just gave up and did donuts the rest of the race.

Even the red wheel thingy is so weird in gts, it will skip steps and not change value at all, and sometimes it works just fine. Works perfect in other games :/

I fiddled around with the controls a bit and now I use the up and down dpad buttons to replace the red dial on the G29 :)

Like Alpha said it's best to change the controls of the dial to the up and down buttons. I lost a Race C on BB Infield because I misjudged my fuel and realized I didn't have enough to finish the last lap. I played with the dial the whole lap while leading and couldn't get it to change. I ran out in the last corner and fell to third. I think you have to be going straight to get it to work consistently. I switched the scroll to the dial and also mapped it to another button (R3 I think) just in case.

Funny, I never had this problem with the dial on my Driving Force GT. I feel that since Thrustmaster is now the official wheel of GT that PD didn't put much effort into making the G29 work better with GTS. This is evident in the poor force feedback with the wheel (and the issue with the dial).
