of course they have to put the interesting B races in a middle of a week but on the week end lets pull out the ****tiest combos that everybody hates!

Don't really feel like reading the last few pages of this topic, so I'll just ask. Does anyone know why I keep getting matched up with a mix of DR A's, B's, and C's? I used to be matched up with drivers all of my rank. Not that I don't mind, but it seems kinda unfair that I'm getting matched up with higher skilled people.

My DR is D and SR is S, btw.

Which Daily Race and what time-range are you talking about? If this is recent, like, last couple of hours, and I assume you are in the Americas region, then there won't be many concurrent players in your region on an early Wednesday afternoon or even morning, especially if it is Daily Race A as less top drivers tend to do that race. Hence less people to match you with and hence more varied matchmaking.

It could also be that you are with some drivers who have high DR but low S SR, and those drivers, due to a low S SR, won't be matched with high S SR drivers.

I usually just play Dailies A and B. C always seems to be a 10+ lap enduro, which is not really my thing. Wish there was more Daily Races than just three every day. Would keep me playing a lot more.

But yeah, I guess the time of day seems to be the reason. *shrug*

More dailies would make matchmaking even worse during the day.

There are 24,708 D/S players total in the world. NA is about a third of that and 192 sport race slots per day. The bigger problem for you is though that there are only 4,896 A/S players total. They need to be put somewhere, and at max SR they'll be invading the lower ranked rooms, or rather the lower ranks are used to fill up the rooms. You get the best matchmaking at SR.B, that's where 54% of the player base is vs 6.6% in SR.S.

Very nice, wish I could download your ghost.

I have found in past GTs that trying to follow a faster ghost isn't very effective as it will pull away from you after the first couple corners. What you should do is study the top driver's replays. Go to the leaderboard and click on a driver that has a red circle next to their name. Once the replay loads, go to the replay options on the right and click display all race info. During replay hit circle to toggle on info such as speed, gear, etc. Sometimes it's something as simple as taking a corner in a higher gear. I have found this to be a very useful tool in improving lap times and something I would recommend to anyone trying to become a better driver. Sadly I think the majority of GTS players aren't even aware of this feature.

Yeah, that's what I keep thinking. That I might need to deliberately sabotage my SR in order to get fairer matchmaking. XD

I dunno if that's what I should do, though... Either that, or git gud. XD

That's actually worse, because you'll end up with players of same high dr, but dirtier

Is the Megane competitive in Race C, anyone?
I lapped one. Also the Scirocco down the bottom. So, probably not.

The system has failed. If you drive clean, your reward is to be matched with players who are better than you, where you have no chance of win, pole, or fastest lap. I naturally gravitate towards SRS, but am grateful when I get dropped down. The best races are where you are properly in the running. SRS99 races are always throb fests. I don’t want to be the Marrussia.

even if i wanted to stay in SRS I couldnt , so much as a sneeze is enough to get a damn penalty and drop down

Well as I knew would be the case my DR and SR took a real hammering from daily races tonight and
the FIA race.

Dropped down to 4301 DR points and 86 SR points so on the verge of dropping back to D again, hopefully have some
good races tomorrow though and try to climb the ladder, I have also now set the motion control on for steering so
I will see how that goes with some practice against the AI.

As I had suspected I got in a Veyron filled Race C both times with my GT-R and got punted a fair bit coming
out of the infield section on Blue Moon, the Tokyo Xpressway race with the 86 went much better but could not
do better than 4th on that one.

Will get a full day's racing on Friday so I'll use the site to keep an eye on my progress after each race and see if I can identify any improvements.
Very smart. I always check it before and after every race. The DR is uploaded almost instantly after the race has ended (once the seconds drop to zero the DR is uploaded).

Maybe he doesn't know he can drop out without taking a hit to his Dr. I don't know.
I did not know this either ? Is there any more info about this ?

Did not know this either. Great tip. I was already looking for this info but in cockpit view you just cannot see that info displayed. Will check this soon.

Here we go again, if you start on the pole at tokyo youre screwed, starts you at the top of 1st gear, by the time you get shifted the whole pack is there , massive penalties, bout ready to go to PC2

Did some laps at Dragon Trail Garden today. But wow, what an insane difficult track. I think it's fair to say that this is the hardest track in the game to get it right. Got second place on the leaderboards at the end.

Rk9 on the Japanese leaderboards has a 1:21.527 ;) he is really fast, similar times to Shooter. Although believe it or not, Shooter’s times tend to be modest (he can pull 2 tenths out of nowhere if anyone beats him lol)

Yep I know. RK9, Shooter and Wolf_Aono are insane quick. I can do 21.4 if I do everything right. By the way, FT_NicoR (ORMA_Snow) has the world record: 1:21.3 ;)

Mr. Aono doesn’t play much GTS unfortunately, He doesn’t have many km’s. It’s a shame that we couldn’t see Immortal in this game either :(

I wish we could just have global leaderboards lol!

Also damn, .3! Wow.

I agree. LIGHTNING told me that Immortal is really busy with other things. Such a shame, he was so insane quick.

I don't like the C races, I want to go as fast as I can all the time, I don't want to "manage" my tyres and fuel! I want to race! Save all that nonsense for the FIA wanabees..:)

You don't need to manage anything. Just go all-out and remember to pit.
