Even if I find enjoyable races, I'm still not jumping out of bed at 3am lol. But I will try to get up earlier than usual (maybe 7 or 8) to do a couple of races.
I can't for the life of me wake up early, so I stay up late instead :D

To all of those who gave me luck and prayers, thank you, BECAUSE I SURVIVED T1 AT MONZA WOOHOO! OH YEAH! In the end had a 3 second lead that could've been double hadn't I made some small mistakes at Lap 2 :)
I'm still SR B, but I'm quitting while I'm ahead :D also...

Theres a thing known as not waking up early? Think I should quit my job and become a hermit or something.

Trust me in summer I literally wake up at 4pm. This darn school :banghead:
Just waiting for the clock to count down. Managed a qualifying time under 2mins for Monza, so I guess I'll see where that lands me. Why Monza? Because I'm touched in the head !
I shall pass upon this luck all the other kind players in this thread have gifted upon me, as well as my own wishes of luck to you :)

Uh I hope tomorrow will have better races as it's going to rain all day. Yet we already had nurb24 last weekend and Bathurst yesterday, what are my chances one of them will be on tomorrow :/

Bathurst was great last night except for a few minor issues. I didn't qualify well (never do on that track) yet made up 6 to 12 places every race. The first race I could have finished higher, yet I tanked for 4 laps in the Vette which drank it all before the final corner doh, forgot I was patiently drafting traffic in the first 4 laps. I'm so used to tune out the fuel warning that it's essentially worthless now.

Only one race I could not avoid the bump passer which went on to mess with the rest of the race. It only takes one... That race I only made up one place as after that early bump pass, when I was behind traffic in L1, he was hell bent on blocking the rest of the race and ran me off two more times when I tried to pass. Good job defending 14th place and end up with a red A at the end. I came away with very minor SR loss, only race with a red rating, as when he bumped me another car tried to squeeze through as well and clipped me. 1 sec from the bump pass, 3 sec from the opportunist, then some shortcut penalty time after getting bumped from behind by someone else. It adds up :/

However, most races went great, my DR was climbing slow but steady, I even survived the dirtiest first 2 laps of the night in the last race I did and climbed away from the back, set up for a great last race. Then one of my kids started crying... I quickly park in the pit, and by the time I came back I was 1 minute 30 behind last place. Oh well, finished 36 seconds behind last, SR fully intact, all DR gains undone. Matchmaking had made a nice room with C/S and D/S players in it...

Remember not to brake in T1 :p

Why would I brake at T1? It's that long right hand sweeper before the chicane yeh?

Ok so I was in that most rare of predicaments, a grid of 16 DR/D SR/S. My qualifying put me at P3, with fractions of second separating the top 3.

All 3 of us made it through the first chicane in order and clean. I was doing well with a 2s lead over P4 and somehow P2 spun out and up I went.. for a while. My biggest struggle is getting through the second chicane without picking up a penalty. Last time I raced at Monza I was T-boned there. This time I misjudged the exit and ended up in the sand trap and fell back to P3. Not sure what happened but dropped to P4 and the guy in P3 seemed to have no concept of sportsmanship. They brake checked me twice and when I had more speed coming out of the last chicane kept swerving to block me.... 5 times! So much for "one move". His shenanigans cost me 6s in penalties and crossing the line P7.

Dropped SR 3, gained a couple of hundred DR. 250 to go and it's up to DR/C. Another day above DR 1 :D.

The TT Cup is borderline boring. To me, it actually makes Brands Hatch a boring circuit.

My "pattern" is:

Turn 1 4th gear
hairpin 2nd gear - off throttle turn in, Turn 3 3rd gear
Turn 4 3rd gear trail brake
Turn 5 4th gear trail brake
Turn 6 4th gear
Turn 7 4th gear
Turn 8 3rd gear slow in, fast out
Final Turn 4th gear medium brake pick up throttle before apex
Repeat

Not bad... but the top one (best europe time) yesterday was different on:

Turn 4 3rd gear
Turn 5 3rd gear
Turn 6 4th gear but with a simply slight tap on brakes.. mostly...
Turn7 3rd gear

Some of that with added trail brake (or not???)

had 2 wins there this afternoon so far but my SR has taken a battering keep getting penalised for being t boned and rear ended.....

managed a 1.58.415 so I am sure that is nowhere near the top 10 but has me qualifying in the top 4 or 5 for most races.

Been doing some Golfing at Brands. Some great races with clean and close battles against top drivers.
Was really cool driving with you earlier in the day! (PSN: blabla_)
The polish driver who started on p1 was just too fast for me...

I’ve been trying really hard to get a faster Q time in the Golf but I can’t seem to string a lap together. My current best is 1:49.15 but my optimal is 1:48.57

That race c is pretty cool. The short track reminds me of the Norisring in DTM

by the way how the penalty work? I think this already have been discuss in here but I forget.

On race I see someone hit me in some battle position and get red dot but he just run away till end plus doesn't get red dot

What times were you running? I am Australian so know Bathurst well but could not do better than a flat 2.08 but really inconsistent, as slow as 2.11's when i get it wrong. i anm a C DR.

I qualified with a high 2:06, run in race with 2:05 / 2:06 with the GR.3 Corvette. That got me to start in the back all the time with as many as 4 A+ drivers at the front. 2:02 qualifying time would get me closer to the front. I generally finished 25 seconds behind first. At my DR level (avg 38K) with max SR, winning is not an option. Except on Monza, the aliens stay away from that track :)

I've done over 150 sport races on Bathurst, practice practice practice!

But you said you were matched against C DR drivers? Couldn't have been with those times.

I have nfi how you run 2.03's, not a clue where i find 5 seconds. i could see where i gain maybe 2 but 5???

Its a good track ruined by a badly implemented penalty system. Will they ever fix it? If they turned it off for the official event last weekend PD must know its crap at the moment and spoils any close racing.
