:D Not just fast, but funny also! :)
After turn1 on track, left the track completely on T2 exit, then cut T3, cut T4, and "missed" T4 exit, completely offtrack. Didn't see the rest. Was there any little cut later on? :D
(And what's your laptime on Nurburgring GP?
Just kidding.)

Haha, I meant, the game allows me to cut as hell in Sector 1, but doesn't allow me to cut sooooo kindly in the chicane
But don't worry, in the FIA Races, blocks are ON and cutting is not possible any longer. I prefer this way.
I think my best time might be something like 2'02"6xx but improvable. :mischievous:

Decided to do a little experiment and enter Race C. Didn't bother qualifying, because starting higher up would be bothersome.

The plan was to start off easy for the first few laps and get used to the Gr2. I know I've raced the NSX there before but I don't remember it. Practice my short shifting and see if I can get to lap 5 before pitting. That part worked at least.

The second part was to practice patience. In previous races where I haven't qualified I've been faster than the first 5 cars in front of me. With this in mind, I wanted to practice getting close to the car in front and not hitting them, waiting for them to make a mistake, maybe go a bit wide or whatever, and make a clean pass. That was the idea... the best laid plans of mice and men....

I just haven't been able to get the same flow at Suzuka in GTS that I had with GT4. The Gr2 wasn't doing me any favours either. Just couldn't get comfortable and spun out 3 times. I qualified 2nd last and finished 3rd last. Didn't loose as many DR as I was expecting (I was hoping to offset the DR loss with positions at the finish line).

So, DR down, SR up. Another day above DR 1 :D.

try the lexus. Much more stable than the NSX. Tire wear is much more manageable too

3 races at Dragon Tail - three SR declines! lol Went from an S, to an A, to a B! And the last one was horrible - someone went off the track came back on (sideways) and didn't ghost! So I t-boned them and got myself a 5 minute penalty. All the other times I was ping ponged around the S-Curve because I didn't want to ram into the guy in front me - but the guys behind me were just too impatient.

All in all, it was fun! Think I need to go do something in Suzuka tonight and start at the back of the pack so I can make up some SR.

I've tried all 3 Gr2 cars and found that the NSX seems to suit me best, but fuel economy suffers, hence trying the short shift shuffle. My usual driving style involves wringing it's neck before shifting.

That's what I've been finding. You slow down to avoid a collision, and then get rammed by the pack behind you who aren't so picky.

@Invisigoth I remember watching the EU record quali time in Gr.2 at Tokyo and the guy didn't even reach the rev limiter in any gears. So not only does it save fuel, but I think short-shifting is quicker.

"Hello, Let's have a clean race!"

Yeah, they're the ones that smash into everyone. I wish people would watch real races. Time and again, there's video footage of what goes wrong, when a racer tries to win it in the first corner.

I mean, come on. You'll get 'em next time, Champ. Survive the first turn and just race smart. Someone has to come first and someone has to come last. Jeez.

Then post race it’s “I’m sorry”, like it makes a difference

Today I started up GTS after a month-long pause because I couldn’t handle the penalty system... I jumped right into Daily C race (Gr.2 @ Suzuka) and I managed to finish 2 races with swear words flying all over my place. 3rd race I didn’t finish because the guy in front of me was blocking me the whole 1st lap and in 2nd this happened:

Ridiculous. Oh and in the 1st race a guy behind me bumped into me so I bumped into car before me and he ran off track. I got 10 seconds penalty of course.

See you GTS, next month maybe.

I raced with some of the fastest EU drivers tonight, even some drivers from the Nurb event were here

But even in this kind of room you still find pure bas:censored:ds...

Race C, he was P8 after the pit, I was P9. He managed to keep a gap of 2 seconds with me until the last lap. At this moment he started to slow down a lot to save fuel I guess. I was right in his rear before the last corner, last lap. I decided to wait for the final straight to pass him but he decided to block me the whole straight and I didn't want to touch him to avoid a penalty... So I finished P9...

And he's A+/S lol

I'll upload a video tomorrow 👍
Here is the video 👍

interesting , if you get side bumped on a straight line , in a way that his rear bumps your front , it counts as a straight rear bumping and you get a 10 sec pen....

Anyone else find it moresatisfying to get back to your starting position after you get bumped off in the 1st lap versus a win where you lead the whole time?

Happened twice today in Dragons Tail where I started 4/5 and got bumped off track. Joined back dead last, then queue up the Rocky theme, and I raced my way back to my starting position (mostly thanks to the bus stop taking out half the cars).

You earn DR based on the opponents you defeat. If you are a B driver and win a room with a few A drivers, your DR will jump substantially. Compared to beating people with same or lower DR, it will hardly change. DR doesn’t change based on gained positions or qualifying.

Oh. I'm at DR A and it barely moves. In rooms with mostly A and A+...

Is what it is, I suppose.

My second Brands Hatch race was with the beetle.. In a field with mostly B racers my C rating and 1.27 was placed way back in the field. Somehow I still had a race number 3..i think the system is broken

Where exactly is he blocking you, defensive driving maybe, but the blocking? 10 seconds for that touch is excessive, at that level it is a ruined race..

Here is the video 👍

What a bastard..

Matchmaking is messed up for SR C. Either 1st or around 9th depending on whose racing in race B.

You call 10:40am early?
My initial post was at 09:40 so thats some minutes after I woke up today.

but I have the video footage, uploading now for some critical feedback
Did I miss the video ?

When you trust the players around you...
Brilliant racing man. Love to see this kind of racing. The last lap was a bit off the brake, but thats just racing I think he should have entered the corner more to the right not leaving room for you. Great driving maestro !

And what's your laptime on Nurburgring GP?
Made me laugh :)

But don't worry, in the FIA Races, blocks are ON and cutting is not possible any longer.
I knew about the blocks but didn't know they were only in FIA races ? Why ??

Exactly where I said - in the 1st lap :) he was driving from left to right all the time like drunk.

nice win @05XR8 .

I just did some qualifying laps and put in a 1:40.871. Not a fast lap, but a clean one. Could do more but I want to give my hands a rest for the race. Guess I'll see where that lands me.
I managed a 1:38:8 in the Z4 and it earned me a 5th place start in the only race I did this morning. A+ - B lobby. Ended up finishing 3rd. Pretty clean racing.
yikes 1 day 2 weird experience.
after I become victim now I become as suspect, but dunno what happen on here why I not getting penalty I questionable this one.

Ah yes I never intended do some hit, I just try to close as I can

Is Daily B safe to race? kinda reluctant run in DT Seaside with short lap.
If you can get through turn 1, yes.

Alright fine. Dragon Trail has cracked my top 5 GT original circuits along side Lago Maggiore. Heck if Nostalgia is removed from the equation they're in the top 3 alongside Complex String.
Yes! Definitely an all time franchise favourite. It's wide, fast, flowing. Almost what Monaco would be if widened.

Thanks! True indeed. I had to use late braking to get close. The driver had excellent car placement, up until then. I used all the momentum I could to gain(also just a touch more understeer than I would have liked). Hence, so much curb and a bit of dust up the hill.

Whole room just disconnected on race C, didn't even start it, lost 5 Sr... What on earth.. Never had that happen before.
My internet is rock solid.

Anyone else (22:30 EU race)?

Had just enough time to do 1 race, guess not today, better get some -sr instead :banghead:

Made it to B with the GR2 Race at Suzuka.. now for the penalties for looking wrong at the track..
The last lap was.. intense, InvertedPanda got taken out by wild aggressive driver that was trying to make up for losing the car and 2nd place and i guess felt he deserved to get 2nd back.. so i hit the brake on the line to set things straight. I wish that the other drivers would understand that the other drivers deserve* their place just as much as you. I had a long race with some nice racing, and i did not behave like an ass same goes for most others in a race.. so why they should pay for someone being frustrated.. i do not get it.. enjoy:

*unless they are bad drivers and gamers of course
