I did the daily A a couple times today and wondering if it's always this broken? I normally only do B or C yet Alsace does not appeal and I had no time for long races today.

The carnage in T1 went as expected with random penalties thrown around. Yet now the penalty counter already counts down when you lift off the gas and even while speeding up normally after some corners. Result: a flashing penalty train of cars phasing in and out of existence. Besides that as DR.A I get an instant 5 sec penalty for as much as sniffing a wall while it seems DR.B can bounce off without penalties. Or maybe they do get penalties as it often seems the penalty sign isn't working, nor the red dot at the end...

In the last race I did a car with 3 bar connection was following close. I have to brake for some corners as I don't want any wall contact penalties. He responds too late and bumps me square from behind and I get a 3 sec penalty, for braking for a corner, wtf. It didn't show him getting a penalty, however it was the last lap and I lift of the gas for the finish to get rid of the 3 sec, he was still behind me and started slowing down earlier and more, yet he has no red dot in the result screen. For that one contact, further perfect race. -4 SR, he had a white S (DR.B)

The matchmaking was ridiculous as well, A+/S to D/S with half the grid not qualifying. Start second, throw a 12 sided dice to see what you'll be after T1. I did manage 2 clean race bonuses and a few more penalty free races, that felt better than any win managing that on the track starting mid field.

That is why i avoid Tokyo on any layout and nurb any layout, pretty much any track with a long straight to a hard braking zone is bad for DR and SR

This is the best room to thrown in. You can more or less trust that the driver behind you wont crash you while braking and you'll get DR raise even for pos 8 as long as you're not close to the 75k cap

Indeed, shockingly clean race, almost had tears coming when I saw how clean T1 was and no stupid moves..
 
This was my Black Friday. Look at those stats. I get caught in two pile ups and get severely penalized and I simply quit the race. I think that did me in ..
The penalty system is not working when you get hit and run into someone due to that and he goes off track ...
I think I need a break from this game for a while ... I'm not a dirty driver and get put in the cellar after just a few races ...

Hey I was there too, and now I got myself back up to AS after being reset, it sucks but just race clean and have fun. But always remember the dirty drivers and avoid them and race clean with them and they will eventually make a mistake
 
Had a blast doing Race A yesterday. Yeah, turn 1 is a war crime but in each race, it tends to work itself out.

In one race I had 4th place going into turn 1. We were literally 2x2, 4 cars running 2 wide in a 4 pack heading into turn 1. 2nd place went hot and rammed out 1st place, i took a cautious outside line and conceded the inside line to 3rd place coasting through the apex. Then I get rammed from the Mad Max pack and get knocked into the 1st place car knocking him sideways into the wall (now his second time).

The penalty system didn't give me a single penalty. I feel like my coasting through a ghost pile of cars somehow gave me penalty invincibility despite getting hammered and ramming another car. Conversely, in another race, I tried to pick off an inside line on a lead car losing traction on turn 1, got rammed, rammed the lead car and got hit with a 3 second penalty. Yeah, not my fault but there's sort of a weird consistency there.

There are 2000 posts of people complaining about matchmaking. Everybody is complaining how people from very different DR are put together in one race. This is the first time ever I see only A and A+ drivers together which would be a match in heaven for most of us.

What happens when you survive T1 at Nurburgring GP? You get good racing.



On record, I did get that qualifying time with the Aston. Surprised myself that I could get it into the 55s since I couldn't last time this combo came up.

The Aston's ambience just makes me feel good. I've had some of my best racing with it. It's as if the car encourages you to push harder each time using it.

I am very happy with the fair-play/SR in that race. But regarding the raw pace, no.
Its DR 30k vs DR 70k. I dont want to be Minardi.

But you did ok in the race, unlikely to fill a room with all As with the mix of SR and small amount of A+.

On a side note, you are good driver, very smooth throughout. I could do with being a bit more like that I’m a bit inconsistent.
 
Race C is a good races but had 2 of mine ruined by divebombers and rammers, lost 30 SR. Down from A to C. This is in DR B.
Got lucky in my 3rd go and managed to get away from the pack and grab a 2nd place back up B/B. Might try a few hot laps, definitely worth getting towards the front for the start.

Epic mate, was a really enjoyable race. I have never saved fuel in the same way, I always go lean with the settings but it seems short shifting is WAY more efficient. Even when driving on Lean setting 3 I would box with ±1.6 laps of fuel left.

Hope I bump into you again some time. Unfortunately I will be on the road over the next three weeks so I won't be online again for a while. But it was a pleasure to race against you :)

I was just matched in a race like this. I thought I would not get any Dr if not win. Luckily came home 2nd with 300 Dr.:yuck:

Won in the next race and got 500 Dr with similar grid. Without A/S matched in my four races.:confused::confused::confused:

I was in a similar situation (also A/S) where I was constantly matched against people from lower ranks , meaning I had to get 100% win..needless to say that's nearly impossible to do every time and I was constantly getting my DR decreased... I think something needs to be revamped in the matchmaking or at least in the DR distribution, according to kudosprime, if you are A/S you are TOP 1% and it is completely normal to be matched against people from lower rank because there are not that many of your skill but...the DR distribution after each race is not fine - it will be almost impossible to climb to A+ if the system keeps working as it is.
 
Well today's going to be another interesting set of races I suspect.

Really enjoyed my Nurburgring GP Race C tries yesterday but the improvements I made in DR were undone a bit by entering Race B
towards the end of the day as I picked the wrong car and lost a lot of DR points.

I think for today I will just stick to Race A and B as I will be practicing heavily for tonight's final Pre-Season races for the Nation Cup
and Manufacturers series.

Hopefully tomorow and Monday will bring some good track/class choices.
 
Had my first daily in a while... 1:55.554 in the Vette for Race B :)
Used the RC F in the race. I should've had it the other way around :lol: the RC F is certainly much faster, but I'm much more comfortable in the Vette :)

Hopefully I can shave another 2/10ths in the RC F :D

If your goal is to win DR points, I would recommend to stick for only one race per day. That way you'll have only one track to focus on etc, it's easier to win DR points that way 👍
