I'm saying it now. Dragon Trail Gardens is a **** track. And one-makes are completely pointless, but I guess it will do.

Actually that's harsh. It isn't **** but it is very awkward to drive and therefore just not fun to race at.

Freaking Veyron, man. I don't want the apology to me and the other driver being beaten up. If you're sorry, give the place back.

It's a fast first turn. How does one still manage to rear end another player. 5 good sized laps to make up time. Love this track. I spent lots of time getting to know how to drive it in many different cars. I know when to brake and where to place the car. People just need to keep practising. Just like at any other track.

Anyone noticed how RedBull's tires turn into oily potatoes in race, compared to qualifier?

Yeh, the car can be a bit tail happy. I managed ok, probably because I'm slow. I saw cars spin out ahead of me , apparently for no reason. They would suddenly lurch from one side of the track to the other and then spin.

Race B today. May be the rat run race but its more fun. Monza is the crack cocaine of GT Sport. You know you shouldn't do but you like it so much you will risk losing evertything (DR/SR in this case).

Crackhead here! I love to race this track, but the penalty system doesnt...
Anyway, I killed my ratings before I did go to Lago Maggiore (on vacation), so I guess its fitting if I race there again today (and Monza is right next to Lago Maggiore too). My SR cant get any lower anyways

After 3 hours and my left hand still hurt cause vibration

oh God, PD should put this layout more often more fluid than the non-reverse. I can throw all my attack move (From safe to trick one) on this layout

When I see these kind of video’s I cannot understand how negative some people can be. Not talking about complaints about the penalty, but more the ones where the game is not ready and worth $50. Just brilliant game having these online races and looking them back as almost reality. We will not mention the ghosting ;)

It was absolute torture having to deal with idiots through no fault of my own.
The problem is sometimes you get in matches where everything goes wrong. And the things you feel also applies to you where other drivers are thinking exact the same about your driving style. Best is to forget those races. But also to try not to lose yourself in doing exactly the same thing that you hate so much. Dont lose yourself next time like this:
as I worked my way through the field, and decided to push back in some parts.
I wanted to school those fools but wasn't very successful in doing so, and pushed a couple of people off.

7 months into GT Sport and some Daily Races still start you rolling in 1st gear, bouncing off the limiter when you have Pole position. How.. why...
If you have a wheel with shifter this is not a problem, since you can put the shifter in 2nd gear and it will all go automatically. You can immediately leave the shifter there and just use the paddles. However, paying $150 just for this is bad, but I use the shifter for more than that of course. But maybe good to know.

On the plus side, I'm closer to DR.B again :/
Well I can tell you that dropping from A to B will probably help. You will be placed better (more poles) and winning more so that will definitely help with the positive mind. Looking at positive side here !

I'll upload the first half of the replay
Still waiting ...

First and last race here. Just kept my nose clean. Only me and one other driver didn't get a penalty. Actually did the whole race in roof cam. First time ever.

Still feel my calling  is in Gr.4. The closer the car is to a production race car, the more I feel immersed in the racing.

Lined up another victory at Maggiore, plus a third and a fourth. And finally picked up the achievement for 15 clean races. Not a bad early evening of racing, all considered.
Nice for the clean 15.....

I'm sensing a GTR theme tonight?

I fully agree to @Invisigoth!

Thanks for the comments, at the moment I'm probably gonna sit out the rest of today as these races I am not doing very
well in, Race A I managed to get within 2 seconds of the top 10 but Race B and C I am sitting about 5 secs off the pace.

DR is back up to 6894 points but SR has taken a hit down to 77 points so time for a break!

The reverse is much better, GR.2 on Gardens II was loads of fun to drive, much better flow. It was still chaos due to it being GR.2 yet with a bit of practice I could make up 11 places in a race while staying away from any trouble. There are still dive bombs going on in the reverse version yet much easier to avoid than in the normal layout. I don't want to play the normal layout anymore.

Sitting at around 35K DR it might indeed be better to be DR.B again. I get matched with them all the time, usually starting behind a few fast DR.B qualifiers (I don't qualify fast) and it's annoying that the penalty system is totally different between B and A. I would prefer to race in full DR.A rooms yet that almost never happens in NA anymore.

However Monza is on, which usually gains me loads of DR. I usually do well on Nordschleife as well yet yesterday was so busy by the time I got to race I was exhausted, and had 3 unlucky races in a row that sapped the fun out of it quick. It was definitely one where I should have put effort into qualifying as starting at the back was painful every attempt.

I bought all the GT-Rs bar the VGT. Goanna add that Nissan R92 and I'm done.

You channelling your inner ricer?

I just did some pre-qualifying for Race B. I tried the rexy, but I just couldn't get it to work for me. I changed to the 4C and beat my best time in the WRX by a few seconds. By the time I'd done a few more laps I'd lapped 10s faster than the best I could manage with the Suby. The 4 consecutive right handers I was taking as a single corner, same with the final 2 corners. I might be able to do a better time with another car, but this feels comfortable. I think the stability of staying on the track will be worth a few positions. Time for a trip to the livery editor! Speaking of which, was anyone tempted to change their Jr yesterday to white with a "5" on the sides and a pointy red "M" on the front?

Dude! You're missing half the fun by leaving CSA on!
I leave it off for lobbies :D
Gotta find any competitive edge you can get in Sport mode ;)
Until I get to a level where CSA starts to hinder me, or at least I feel like I'm competitive without it, I'll do away with that assist

Did two race at gardens. First race was good as I got a clean racing bonus when I finished 2nd (still trying to get out of SrB)

Second race is an 8th place finish with another clean race bonus... I was one of 3 or 4 drivers to not have a red dot. But my Sr went down. That is stupid. My safety rating should not go down bc others hit me. I am never gonna get back to Sr S at this rate... I almost want to join daily race C just to ride around in last...

Finished Race B and my qualifying time turned out to be slower than I thought. In a grid of mixed DR/C and D with a random B thrown in, I qualified P10 out of 16.

I stuck to my plan of just staying on the track and it worked reasonably well for me. Sadly someone went a bit wide, I came up the inside, nearly made it round but on the exit slid a little and my back caught their front and off they went. Orange SR and a 3s penalty. Final result, P6.

DR up nearly 500, SR down 3.

Best way to raise your SR was on FIA Races... but now those have become rare events... :(

Bubba Zenetti has it on good authority, this race is not as it seems. Full of treachery. Sent by the Bronze. Bronze...take our pride. Yes volks, iiits Monza! :scared: It's kinda annoying that even if you manage a faster qualifying lap, it doesn't record it if your previous lap was not clean. I qualified P4, which was pretty groovy, but would have been P2 with my fastest clean lap. Then again P2 might have done a faster lap that wasn't recorded...:odd:

I knew I was going to take a hit on the first chicane. At my level it's inevitable. I usually brake early and let a few of the crazies through and weave my way through the wreckage. I managed to get through without getting knocked off, but I got hammered from all sides on the first 2 chicanes. Orange SRs and on with the race. The tyre wear looked promising so I threw the dice and hoped it worked out. Got another orange SR coming out of the pits ...under auto drive! It was a little tail happy but I kept control and didn't loose much control after pitting :dopey:. The end result:

SR dropped by 11, DR went up by nearly 3k . Never been this high before, I was bumped up to DR/C for a 3rd time. Think I have enough DR to last 5 races before I'm back to D :dopey:.

Another day above DR 1 :D.

Here is one of the races I did last night. Started on pole, got hit into turn one and ended up pin-balling of 5 or six cars. I held on to second some how, but had lost three seconds to first. I caught back up on the final lap and grabbed my second win of the night at Interlagos!

I got four poles last night, and got knocked out of the way every time. Bounced back to get two wins.

Still down in Sr B, I might wait for a better race C to get back to S. In other news I just hit the 99,999 mileage pts cap.

That was some intense game of pinball :)

Love Interlagos, hate the people who try to win the race on T1.

After this race I called it a day as I knew that it'll only go downwards from here on and I had no intention to kill my ratings even more due to people not behaving good enough :D

Only in GTS a Minardi beats everything :dopey:

Fantastic race Nuschel01
To bad we didn't get into the same lobby yesterday.

I had a quite similar race against BAM-Enzo with the Red Bull too: Fair, fast, overtaking action and and a damn close finish. 👍

I wish PD offers more combos like this in the future :)

Had a lot of fun today at Monza.
I always managed to survive at turn 1 by staying on the inside. I was probably lucky not to find kamikaze.
Started the day as Dr d (595) sr A (66) and now I'm Dr C (6710) sr S (85).
Pole, fastest lap and victory in 3 or 4 races.
Last day of glory before the Logitech g29 arrives tomorrow

Master blocking disguised as lost control. It looked like you had a magnet stuck to the back of your car.

Thats what it felt like. Every race someone would slam into my rear. Kids last on the grid think they can win a 5 lap race in turn 1.
