The same Greycap as my username here. A dark grey BRZ with a Finnish flag, there haven't been many of those at Suzuka today.

If we raced tonight together, yeah I remember you, I was behind the 2 frenchies and you were right behind me for a moment iirc

If I mess up my entry into the pits (Mount Panorama) and the game resets my car is there anyway at all to get back onto the pit lane entrance road if you are put back on track beyond it?

I did that the first time I did a Race C at Bathurst. I'd never raced there with a pit stop, and didn't remember a chicane at pit entry from all the races I'd watched there. Slammed into the wall next to pit entry and respawned on the track and ran out of fuel before T1. I just had to suck it up and trundle around for a lap. I always finish a race, no matter how hopeless.

Well I don't know about the rest of you but I think today has been the worst day of daily races and bad racing that I have seen since I started taking part in the daily races.

I knew my DR would probably be hit today but my SR has really been hit and for the first time I find myself in C/C.

It's a good thing I am off on holiday for the rest of the week as hopefully the rest of the week's races can get me back up and redeem this deplorable situation but if tomorrow goes anything like today I think it's time to go back to the old me and just race against the Ai.

Final stats if anyone is interested is DR 4454 SR 35 having started the day DR 8343 and SR 86.

Big thumbs down for today!

Sounds like my experiences in DR B. As long as I give people space and don't run them off of the course I'm relatively impervious to penalties. It's crazy being ping ponged through the ringer to come out the other end without a penalty, while everyone else is blinking red around you. The downside is that you can get away with barge passing to the inside and they'll get penalized for touching you if they do it after you're side by side. I don't exploit that trick though.

I still race the same, no need to bump pass, definitely not as my goal is to stay in DR.B. That's going pretty well by racing without qualifying, 28.5K DR now, pretty steady, starting nearly last and making up 10 positions in a race.

Despite very few penalties as DR.B it's still quite the challenge to keep SR up with all the bumping. Matchmaking keeps putting rooms of A+/S to D/S together. Starting behind a group of D/S on Bathurst in the afternoon is ehm interesting. The dirty and clueless things I have seen today! I'm at 93 SR atm. If I had done this as DR.A I would have been reset by now with how dirty and sloppy the driving has been today.

It's fun though, nice challenge to escape the chaotic backfield unscathed.

I was just done exactly that, twice. Seriously considering downdrading my ratings to around C/B as the racing is sensible there, B/S is full of "I'm faster than you so I'm entitled to pass no matter what" people. If they were faster they probably wouldn't be behind me to begin with.

Don't qualify, then they won't be behind you! I know what you mean though. My last race an A+/S driver must have crashed out somewhere, saw him drive several people into the wall to get back to the front. He didn't make it that far and had to let me pass at the finish due to his penalties and was demoted to SR.A. Not good for me, too many points, need to stay in DR.B :)

Corvette C7 is too much fun to drive on Bathurst, now even better without worrying about resets.

Just hang in there and keep on racing! Every one has bad days (or weeks :p). It will get better.

I’m so glad SR is less sensitive now. You can get smashed, get a 5s penalty, serve it right away and still keep 99/99. I don’t remember not losing SR points for a penalty over 3s even in a C race before the update.

Haha, yes. My lap times are too slow and my time commitments won't allow me to get better so I'm pretty much stuck at DR B. However, DR B racing very much feels like a surfer trying to stay ahead of the crashing wave.

I had tons of fun on Suzuka today with the BRZ. I know it's technically the same as the 86 but it it feels slightly different, most notably is the over bite if you over accelerate while losing traction. So it was fun to tailgate people and then run wide and pass as they got sucked back by the overbite. In one race I started in 2nd, got rammed into the cat litter on turn one and knocked back to 6th place. With all of the goofy position fighting I was able to get back to 2nd place by the hairpin by simply stalking people and running inside or outside once the over bite took them out.

There were some really fun racing dynamics in that race. Hopefully we get Brand's and Willow on the BRZ for the next couple of days.

I lowered my DR to B yesterday since Suzaka was so dirty earlier it became impossible to have a race. After 2 races my SR had dropped to B. Racing as DR.B is much better. I'm hovering around 28K DR, pitting in lap 7 when I got too close to DR.A, and it's bliss not getting penalties for other's mistakes or dive bombs. Sure there is still the occasional misjudged penalty yet it was very easy to get back to SR.S in DR.B in those dirty races. Got a clean streak going at the end as well.

I completely agree with you. Nothing bugs me more than picking up a penalty because someone hits me. You have to tip toe around traffic more as DR.A whereas a B you can race harder with less fear of penalty. In the races we did last night at Suzuka I was knocked off track early in 2 races, it was hard to recover as one little mistake puts you to the back again. I did get some good side by side racing in though so it wasn't all bad. Congrats on the wins BTW.

Decided to try the Race A at Susuka, but after driving the Megane Trophy the BRZ was putting me to sleep. Set a decent Q lap didn't want to race it. So I tried a GR4 NGP race and yeah divebombs and side bumps were on display. Down to SR.A and called it night (and day). Maybe I should have just kept racing my way down to DR.B, then I can have some more fun racing. Hope today's races are better.

Just make sure you don't end up in lower spectrum of B, cuz that's where bumpers live.
Once falling back there, it's mega challenge to get sr back up without risking falling further back to C..

Did some Q laps yesterday and left it there, I'm 1sr away from reset thanks to Trophy race on Suzuka.

Tomorrow (today) is Monza GR.2. Monza is my best track so I guess I'll head back to DR.A.
BRZ Northern isle speedway for A and GR.3 Suzuka East for B. I'll be in race C.

The only disadvantage of not qualifying is that the chance of winning is pretty much zero.

I've been getting my favourite number lately. Wish I could keep it for Sport Mode.

I don't know what happened yesterday in the races, but the risky Gr.4 racing around the Ring was worse than I ever imagined. Didn't even do anything particularly bad, I had a clean first race except I accidentally turned in early and cut the fast chicane before the back straight, and it gave me a huge 5 second penalty for a brief cut. Got a single SR point to my name and dropped about 4000 DR even although I qualified low down and finished n a decent position.

Second race I'd been dropped into the low B high C lobby and it was chaos, but I was keeping it clean when I rubbed doors with someone under braking and got a negative SR and time penalty for it. I then slightly nudged someone from behind as we were braking for the chicane, mainly due to the large hit box around the car I couldn't see when in bumper cam, and got another negative SR and penalty for it. Came out of the race down to A SR rating and DR took a massive drop again. Stopped racing before I got further frustrated.

Oh so close to yop 10 at Northern Isle. I'm doing a so cruel 0.011. 4th gear riding high then close down to the apex and out.

Didn't realise Gr. 3 were at the EAST Course. Did a 48.720. Just 0.6 from the 10th spot. Really dislike the M6.

I want to do Monza but not really got enough spare SR points, going to just start at the back and try and keep my nose clean. Hoping for the best, fearing the worst.
Edit: Went well, started 17th got up to 8th, was one of only 4 blue SR at the end and even got a clean race bonus, gained 14 manner points.

If today's match fixing is anything like yesterday, qualify, not qualifying ... all same same. The only difference will be two positions from the bottom instead of the bottom .

Yeh, after racing with the RSR, Beetle and Viper, going back to the M6 to try removing the one stain on Campaign Mode (a silver for the time trial course experience at Nurburgring), I re-discovered how much like a large water craft if drives like :yuck:.

After calling my ISP 2 days ago I though this problem is gone, but it still. At least flying car glitch and DC/Data loss is disappear now, hell rank up from DE to BS again was so hard but It's worth so much to learn by meet lower rating opponent
