How do you folks get a decent quali time on race A. Done a fair few laps but my time is rubbish...Hello?
Edit: oh well guess my 20.308 will have to do.

Not worse for sure, at least for me not disconnected from any races recently. the whole game did crash earlier today but luckily I was only doing quali.
Edit: maybe I spoke too soon, got another crash. 2 in a few hours is a little unusual.

I'm currently at work and all links in the calendar redirect me to the main website schedule. Is that the same for you guys?
(I use an old Firefox version when I'm at work, maybe that explain, dunno)

Links are working fine for me (latest version of firefox)

If today's match fixing is anything like yesterday, qualify, not qualifying ... all same same. The only difference will be two positions from the bottom instead of the bottom .

Ha it was the same for me at DR.A when a popular track is on, I've qualified for 20th place a few times. Last night I didn't qualify and started 12th of 20 in my last race. No good as that lap 1 was a total mess where I even came to a stand still at some point due to people messing up. I could have walked faster through some corners in lap 1 :/

I guess I'll start Monza without qualifying again. You either start on pole or bottom 3 on that track, the rest is almost guaranteed trouble in T1.

I always get redirect to main website schedule and I use latest google chrome, that's why I always ask on another thread :dunce:

Have you noticed that the track record on the GT sport web site does not work correctly?
When I was driving yesterday it just updated with the latest time as I was driving Nuremburg qualifying with different cars.

I got into the Top 10 at Race C today, so that's cool :)

It's quite useless though if I keep getting disconnected

Mh, interesting. I'll check when I'll be at home this evening on latest chrome. All worked this morning, so that's weird..

Links work fine here, they take you to that exact race so you can see the leaderboard, past, present or future race (of course this one is blank), so all seems fine.

I'm using MS Edge though. ;)

First race of the night, Race B. I tried the Beetle, and I just couldn't seem to get the hang of Suzuka East. Tried the 4C. Don't know if speed wise it's like the Gr4 version, but I'm assuming it's lacking in outright speed. It may not be fast, but on a short track it's scrappy :D. In a grid of DR/B, C and D (better than the A+/A/B that I was getting yesterday) I started P12/16.

The first corner was the usual mayhem. I was on the inside, but slightly behind the car in front when they turned in on me and an orange DR flashed up and a 4s penalty :(. I just tried to keep it on the track. Towards the end I was being dogged by another car but they just couldn't catch a break. I was hogging the inside of every corner, and whilst they were faster then me, they weren't fast enough to take the outside. They probably thought I was blocking them. Nah, just desperately trying to keep it on the track! The penalty dropped me 2 places down from the position I crossed the line. The result:

SR stayed the same, DR went up a bit. The journey continues....

Monza Monza Monza. A comedy of errors. I did a few qualifying laps and qualified P14/17.

I survived the first chicane. I was tricking through the middle but still managed to get an orange SR. After that I was away. I short shifted the NSX and managed to get 6 laps out of it. By some amazing good fortune, I pitted P1! I decided not to change tyres, and refuelled. Didn't quite pay as much attention as I should have . I'm in P3, but I clipped a corner on the 3rd chicane and get a penalty. I did finally get rid of it, but dropped down to p5 in the process. I gain another place and I saw the fuel warning light telling me I had a lap left. Awesome! I'll have just enough to make it to the finish line.. woot! I cross the line in P4 and I'm stoked.. then I realise it says "Final Lap"... and the fuel goes away :scared:. From P4 to last place as I trundle around the final lap doing 80kph :banghead:.

You have to do what I call a primer lap first so your speed is as high as it can be when you start your fast lap. Stay high on the track along the wall for one lap and don't hit the wall. Then when you cross the starting line for the next lap go for apexes like normal. I don't know what the car is for race A but you'll probably want to not exceed 4th gear. Also don't use TCS or CSA.

Cheers BlackReign I had tried all the above except the gear tip, that's made all the difference, thanks a million. 👍
Had a few top threes earlier now am up to B/A its getting a bit harder, I was struggling to finish in the top half. Hopefully this will help in the race already shaved 2 10ths of my old qualifying time.
Edit: Didn't win the race, but I am more than happy with a 3rd place. :gtpflag:

Not content with my blunder at Monza, I tried again. That was a mistake on so many levels . The only bright spot was seeing a familiar name sitting on P2 (wavies to @Baliwa ). I qualified P13 with the GTR. Should have stuck to the NSX :odd:.

I started off ok, aside from the usual orange SR at T1 and gained a few places. I got shunted off and after than everything went down hill. I had a hard time during the race getting the thing to turn, even at a crawl, so I ended in the sand a few times. The GTR turned out to be just as much a fuel pig as the NSX! 4 laps and I had to pit. The tank didn't hold 6 laps worth or fuel, and even short shifting I fell a lap short. Yeh, last place .. again :banghead:. The back end of the field was really rough.

SR down, DR down. All in all a pretty miserable result. Another day in DR/C :indiff:.

I ran in 4th gear the whole time. Take turn 1 low and run up high out of 2, take turn 3 high and dip slightly lower going into 4. That’s how I did it

I ran 3 races this morning, started 3rd in all of them and finished 2nd in all of them behind
Turismo-Lester...in all of them. He wiggled in two races but recovered nicely enough and I couldn’t pass him. Hey, I’ll take 2nd place. Even got my SR back to 99 with 3 clean races!

Out of curiosity. What Assists do you guys use when doing the daily races?
Ive built up the confidence to stop using everything except for ABS but its clear there are some people (especially those who use countersteering assist) that I cant even get close to. I’m using a controller... could be that... or that I actually just suck lol.

I, like you, am stuck. I have Countersteer at weak, TCS at 1, I also use a controller. Have found that I have much more control and speed around corners once I got used to this setting. When I get a wheel/pedals I may take the TCS down to 0, as I'll have a little more control of the throttle (At least I think I will) as compared to the stick on the controller.
