I see your point the Huracans are so good that there are none in the top 10 Europe.
Also in the FIA race I did earlier 8 out of the top 10 where Megane 11's including the top 6 positions....
It should not be in GR4, not without some serious BOP fix. It might not be the fastest on all tracks but if you can do a 2.02.033 in your Huracan please upload the lap I would love to see it.

I don't know what's going on in Europe, but I won 3 daily GR4 races at Blue Moon Bay Infield the other day, in the Huracan. The majority of my competition was Meganes. Maybe a lot of people just aren't trying different cars. The car is beatable on tracks with long straights.

Yeah those rooms last night were rather unbalanced, for you at least. The podium battles were fun yet you were over half a minute ahead each time! You should still get a minimum of 1 DR per player, how much did you lose per race? It must be bugged, maybe they screwed up the minimum and you lose a few points per player that has over 40K DR less than you.

Since you sit at 63, you should still have gotten some points from me at 34, 22 DR. Yet those rooms had mostly dr.b, anyone below 23K could have resulted in negative DR for your win if PD screwed up.

Did you get in the final race? I got disconnected at waiting for other players, I wonder if it was the server of just one of those random disconnects.

I hope we don't have to wait too long for another go at N24, it was over far too quickly.

At 2:09, keep more distance I guess. The car in front wasn't sure if he should drive through the ghost or not. You got of light there as there were 4 contacts. The French guy screwed up then nobody spared any room for recovery. Ghosting is a double edged sword and I see it often leading to more incidents than it solves.
As usual, tried my best not to hit the 458 (red one) in front till that moment. I think I am not an aggressive racer. In the end I didn't touch him but touched another 458 (orange one). Interesting.:yuck: I would do nothing different next time.

My thumb is unhappy at the moment, so I was just going to do Race C after midnight for my daily workout gift. I was Monza'd :scared:. Did what I thought was a pretty reasonable time for me in the NSX and was disappointed qualifying P13. Then I saw that aside from a DR/D in P12, the ones above were DR/A and B. Mostly SR/A. Yesterday's shenanigans at N24 had dropped me fron SR 99 to SR 82, and I always get this type of miss matching if my SR drops below 90.

We get to T1 and you would think by now people would have figured you won't with the race at T1 of the first lap. Instead it was sardine time. I took an inside line to try to protect myself, but I still got smashed and an orange SR. On to the second chicane and it's more of the same. Smashed off track into the barriers by another car, gifting me another orange SR and a 6s penalty :banghead: . Eventually I found some clear track and had a bit of a clean battle with another NSX. We swapped positions for a while till I messed up a corner and had 2 wheels in the sand and off he went.

I pitted in P8 with 2 laps to go. I had to take corners at the recommended gear so I knew the tyres were unhappy. Lost time changing them and came out P10. In the end I finished P14 because of penalties. Monza is a track where you can bleed off penalties as you go, but I havn't worked that out yet.

SR dropped to 78, DR went up a little bit I think.

Despite my thumb, I hated leaving with SR/A, so I did Race B with no qualifying. Started P15/16. Again a whole bunch of DR/A and B in the top half :odd:.

I don't know if they just didn't know the track, were finding the conditions a bit difficult or were pushing way too hard, or what, but there were a lot of red flashes and yellow flags. The Gr3 NSX certainly wasn't as sure footed as I've found it in other races. Like 05RX8 yesterday, I found it was a bit like driving a rally car. I didn't have the confidence to push on the whole track, so I just cruised except for the places I could feel I could stomp the loud pedal and give it some welly. The result:

SR up to 86 and DR went up a nice little chunk. Another day above DR 1 :D.

I know, it happens to me as well. It really looked like the car in front of you would keep going through the ghost yet he hesitated which started a chain reaction. It's better to avoid ghosts, however with 3 cars right behind you, you risk getting hit more by slowing down than by driving through the ghost. Hence why ghosting creates more problems. Without ghosting it would be clear that the car in front has to brake. Even if you had slowed down for the car hesitating at the ghost, the car behind you would have bumped you into him 99% chance, same result.

If everyone was DR.A there you could have gotten 30 sec in penalties though, you bumped two cars' rear bumper and another recovery trying to get back in the track. The game could interpret that as a bump off track as well. Even though there wasn't much you could have done, the penalty system likes you to sidestep the laws of physics or use your jump button to get out of the way.

As for black flagging people not braking in T1, I'm all for it. I had it happen in half my races on N24 where I didn't start last (more non qualifiers behind me) and just now again on DT Seaside. (It was a DR.A driver so I got 1 sec as well, just because) It's all too easy to get away with it at lower DR and the only thing you risk is easier wins when your SR drops.

Why do I bother with DR.A
0q8nYUV.gif

I'm trying to give him room to recover, yet he uses me to stabilize. I get 10 sec penalty and lose 9 SR for the race. Drop from 7th to 14th at the finish, I'm not serving ******** penalties. At least it will bring me closer to DR.B again.

Ugh 2 good (clean) races at dragon trail and one not so good.

The first of three I started 6th, I think, avoided a few collisions ahead and found myself third with a Beetle chipping away at my lead lap after lap. Final lap I ran wide and touched the gravel, I was lucky not to lose more positions, great pressure from him, finished fourth.

Next race was a killer. After cries of "You should have left a car width!" from a recent race, I was defending a position, yet allowed the accepted amount of room, but he (or she) decides it's not enough and bumps me very aggressively, 1 second penalty. Following lap I again give them space and they do it again! Had I not given them an inch those would have both been avoided. I find it very difficult to think in a split second what is the best choice, anyway that wasn't the worst of it. I clattered the wall after the bus stop and lost around 15mph, then got rear ended and thrown into a wild spin of smoke and debris, finished 14th. As a rule of thumb I always assume the car in front will hit the wall so I'm always ready to avoid it. I wouldn't say I was a bad sport at all during that race but the game decided me worthy of taking 15 SR from me. Down to 84.

Third race was kind again, started third, a couple of position changes between me and another, who finished last in the end so ill be watching that replay shortly. Ended up second myself and recouped 9 points back up to 90.

Will try again later.

Are there any problems with connecting to the daily races or PSN at the moment?

I was just kicked from a race for network error and now it says I'm connected but say's I'm offline when I go to the daily
races tab, have just reloaded and it's done the same thing so if anyone can advise if any problems I'd be grateful before I
start pulling apart my interweb.

Thanks for the replies, guess it's time to play something else and try again later.

Yeah think there's a server problem.

Have been getting DR back up today to where it was a couple of months ago via my favourite car and track combo...Veyron at Monza.

Set a very good time and have had a good few pole, wins and fastest laps in my B S lobbies.

Did get in a A+ and A lobby where my time was good for 5th behind an A and 3 A+ drivers (3 in the top 40 times in European region)
but got punted off on lap 6 in 4th place down to 7th then a lap later down to 9th.

Managed to finish 7th and surprised to get over 1000dr for that....up 5000 today.

Next race all B S and it was b.s.

Don't get how people can pretty much come up behind another driver into a corner and just freely punt them off?....this with S rated SR.

Unfortunately dropped a 1000 on this...the last race.

Tried to go again as want to get my ranking back to where it was...around the 27000 mark....in time for the start of round 2 of the FIA events.

Hope it's back up soon.

Maybe it's a good idea that it's gone down now and the idiots that were driving in the last race can get tucked up in bed by their mummys.

It's only 3:20 PM EST, school holiday has started so don't count on mummy tucking the kids in any time soon!

I thought it was my internet again, last race (before 2 pm) the connection got kinda shoddy then I got the same reconnected, you're not connected cycle when trying to enter the daily.

It seems to be working again now, signed up for the 3:30 PM EST race.

SR64, down from 99, like I said a couple weeks ago I was just going race and not worry about SR due to broken penalty system. 1 thing is strange, many SRA & B lobbies are cleaner than SR S, go figure

So people managed to find loopholes on Monza as well

People lapping 53s on europe, went to see the replay. Guy is cutting both chicanes, stops to serve the penalty in the end of the lap and still completes a lap on 53s lol

My internet was down again early evening, weak signal in the area according to tech support, escalated again, still not fixed. Nothing for hours and currently it is faster than ever before... I asked if it was a problem with capacity yet that wasn't it, right... It always craps out at prime time. Perhaps the heat wave is cooking their routers.

Anyway since it was back up I have been racing on DT again, no qualifying. First 2 clean races, then I get bumped around in a race by 2 different drivers and promptly drop to SR.A since they were DR.B. There matchmaking gives me this little bonus:
FJPc.jpg

Victory from nearly last, only worth 3 DR, but I'll take it.

Despite not having any contacts I still got a penalty
j5gQ9gP.gif

Good old yellow flag penalty. There was a car parked on the grass on the left as well as that ghost in the middle off the road. Apparently the game wanted us to stop for them as we both got the 3 sec penalty.

Then it takes a further 4 clean races to get back to SR 99.with comedy gold like this:
qD6JK87.gif

also why I don't like to follow groups that closely. Part the ways! Why qualify and miss all this entertainment.

One of the clean race bonuses came with the neutral SR rating as getting hit by lower DR still costs you SR. No matter the last race put me back at 99 and it was an incredible race as well. I was fighting for 8th place with two other skilled clean drivers, swapping places for a couple of laps. Close, yet never touching, leaving space for the other cars, neatly slotting into single file again before the chicane, true respectful racing. I would have had ninth if the car in front had not touched the wall in the final chicane, yet he steered out off the way immediately, true sportsman.

Out of SR.A my average finish was 7th, which means I got a little closer to DR.B. I didn't need the penalty shield though, SR fully restored.

Yeah, I feel the same about Qualy. I laugh at some of the things that happen at the rear of the field. Sometimes I cry... because... How in THEE hell do you hit me and we're the only two at the back? You can't be scared of being passed by the car behind. There is no car behind! You're the car behind!

The other things are, people that think they're slick. Karma bites them hard. I definitely yell, "HA!" out loud. It's not all peaches and cream, tthough. Karma hits me too, soon after yelling that ha.... Hey, I'm not proud, but some players need to give themselves an uppercut.

Todays races:

Race A - One Make - VW Scirocco Gr.4 - Lago Maggiore Center - 10 laps - Standing start
Race B - Gr. B - Brands Hatch Indy - 9 laps - Standing start
Race C - Gr. 3 - Monza - 9 laps - 6x Fuel / 9x Tires - Rolling start
The Gr. B race has got to be fun. Just started using one in Campaign Mode.

That Scirocco race looks good to. I liked those real life Scirocco One Makes at Red Bull Ring.

I’m going for Monza today, avoid T1 ruckus, even if it costs me a few places. I was gonna give it a try yesterday but dragon trail was too much fun
Speaking of which, I had won at Dragon Trail yesterday too. It was the only daily race I won that day.

There had to be something wrong with the servers yesterday, I was able to connect and then after a few seconds the connection dropped again.
I know it's a little late but I have to say that the most incredible online racing experience I ever had was last fridays daily race C.
I used to hate Tokyo outer because of the bumper car driving style that usually takes place there. But last friday with the Red Bull X 2014 Junior I think I did at least 10 races which were almost 100% clean.

The only bad thing that could happen was after the T1 carnage (small bumps between 5 to 10 cars), it felt like the system would give you a penalty just for being there :-) but other then that, when driving sensible: falling back just before the fast turns when behind a slower driver and overtaking them after a better corner exit kept me out of trouble in almost every single race.
Had a lot of top 6 finishes, downside to that: my DR is now well over 20K meaning it will become a lot harder to win races so I will have to do a lot more practice before entering a race to get my laptimes down and perfect each and every corner for the tracks.

EDIT: these Red Bull race made me think: PD should add a separate FIA race: Red Bull Competition: You start out racing say 10 races (one season) in the Red Bull Junior competition, top 5 of each Junior series season will advance to Red Bull Competition.

I don't think I would be racing a lot of other races if a series like that was added.

Seems to only hand out minor penalties. I got two at about 0.4-0.7s.
