Silly question about DR..is it cumulative thing? Or does it reset to the lowest number for your current ranking everyday?

Not exactly sure what you mean by that last part. It goes up or down each race depending on your finishing position and the relative DRs of your opponents.

Yeah I was in that race got up to 6th from just in front of you in the rc f. Switched to the veyron and won from the back next race with a clean race bonus
 
Can any A/A+ players tell me how active the top-ranked guys typically are on Saturday morning in daily races?

I was going fine until that player bumped me for spite. He had a penalty and I was passing on the outside. Just pushed me out for no reason. Never raced him before. I wasn't kind in return.

Has anyone ever flipped their car into turn 3 at Dragon Trail? I can't believe how much air I just got in qualifying! I'll post a pic later. I thought I was gonna flip for sure hahaha :lol:

I've had it upside down in the air, but then it gets re-spawned before it gets any further. Having an off at Big Willow can get you some pretty spectacular air :O.

I've got the love bug dialled in as best as I can manage for Race B, now just waiting for qualifying to end.
 
Today is not my day :banghead:
Did two Race B races starting from P4 and P3. First one was mostly my mistakes except getting punted off the track at T5 on Lap 1 (I'm not sure it's maype T4 or T6). Finished 13th.
Second race on the other hand was a 🤬 disaster. T2 carnage was so bad that for nothing I got 10sec (double 5 sec. One for avoiding the people in front and someone rammed me from behind. Second one I'm honestly not sure why I got it.) penalty and orange SR. At bus stop I had a small touch with a Beetle and got 10sec penalty + orange SR. Didn't even gain advantage from the touch but I guess 🤬 it. Rage quit on Lap 1. Taking a break now.

Yes, but not in Daily Races. The Alpine A110 '72 really, really hates those kerbs...
 
Race B was a bit of a disaster. I thought I had a pretty reasonable time, but this was my first time in a grid of all DR/Cs. P12/16.

The race got going and I made it through 4 laps unscathed. At one point I was up to P5. There were a couple of cars following close behind. One got through because they had better drive out of a corner. The next one blew past me like he had a rocket strapped to his roof. The guy in front suddenly braked unexpectedly. I think there was a reason other than brake checking.. I hope. I rear ended him and he left the track, but had enough velocity that he re-entered in position. We both got penalties and I got an orange SR. This is the first 10s penalty I've received for contact in any of my races. I don't remember where I crossed, but I finished P11.

DR dropped 400, SR dropped another 4.

what was the fastest qualifying lap at Bathurst yesterday? I didn’t have time to race lately and want to do some hot lapping to get back to speed.

Edit: Not that I will get close to it. Just to see where I stand:lol:

Something about gaining some ground only to loose it right at the end that kinda turns my tentacles. Loosing SR from an otherwise clean race also peeves me. So against my better judgement I went again with Race B. I got a better qualifying time which landed me........ P12... again:crazy:.

Race started and I made it through the chaos of the chicane with a few places up and no penalty. The bus stop was where all the carnage took place and I gained several places there. I just stuck to my lines for the most part. After getting pushed aside twice I had jack of that, so the next guy to try it found me occupying the track. If you want to pass, try the grass pal :D!

I got a 3s penalty for cutting a corner past the ripple strip, and I carried it across the line. This time, P7 and it stuck :p.

DR went up a bit, but not as much as I lost the previous race. SR went up from 92 to 97 :eek:. Monza, here we come!

Group 2 times in asia pacific region were low 1.51 I think. I managed a 1.51.9 for a top 10 leaderboard time. Lexus was the car of choice for most people
 
Been waiting a good while for my favourite track/group combo.

Although I've had a good few disastrous moments today, I am now, after seven months in DR B, up in the DR A ranks!


No wins today but a couple of poles as I always punch above my weight at Monza.

Can't see where my quali time is (1:56,293) as my unofficial companion app is just showing a blank screen.

Been in with B, A, A+ and S drivers all morning.

Race C, and I got Monza'd :crazy:. I Did my qualifying with the NSX, although I secretly wanted to use the Viper. Thought I had a decent lap and found myself P12/18. Half the field was DR/B. The rest was a mix of Cs and Ds.

Race starts, and I get through T1 still on track, but with an orange SR. I was pushed aside at the first chicane, then again at the next turn with two tyres in the sand, *and* another orange SR.

A lot of people pitted lap 4. I pitted lap 6 with no tyre change and came out p5. My penalties were mounting from having been pushed into penalty zones by other cars who seem to drive as though they are the only ones on the track. Generally when this happens, DR/Bs are involved :odd:.

I crossed P7 but penalties which I didn't have enough gap to burn off in the course of normal driving landed me P11.

SR dropped from 97 to 85. I don't recall making numerous contacts, so I wonder if multiple track limit infringements have a secret count. DR dropped by a bit over 100. Another day visiting DR/C :crazy:.

Two orange SRs while missing a bunch of SR ups (shortcut penalties) is now a guaranteed downfall. You can barely scrape a neutral together from one 10 sec accident penalty in a low lap count daily C. GR.4 is less laps to recover SR. Driving perfectly for the rest of the race would probably still have cost you some SR.

Not during Sports mode race. The Ford GT40 is not a fan of that part.
 
I've been stagnate for weeks. Almost always finishing in the same position as I start. A couple of weeks ago I gained 2 spots, into top 5 and was knocked down to DR D. Today I lost 2 spots, out of top 5 and got bumped up to DR C. I suppose there are reasons this happened. It just feels so random. :lol:

I've only ever won 6 Sport Mode races in my time. I hardly ever win online races.

Came 16th in the nations cup race after qualifying 3rd. Spun off of the big corner at the end. That track blows my (insert swear word here.) I have never won an FiA race. I don't suck at racing games, please don't say I do.

You'll get there.

Some have to work harder at it and it comes easily to others....allegedly.

You were at your highest your DR has been before that race by the look of it so it may just be down to timing.

In sport mode I pretty much stick to the tracks I can race comfortably on.

I wouldn't have touched that one you did with a barge pole.

It would take many hours over many days for probably weeks for me to get comfortable there.


A few of the Monza races I did earlier, i was matched with a driver who had qualified much slower than me yet was right on my tailpipe for lap after lap.

I couldn't shake him off and when I did he just kept coming back.

I was really struggling.

It wasn't until I watched the replay back later that I realised just how much he was struggling too.


Keep at it.

You'll persevere.
