Finished C with blue sr S, only 4 out of 20 got it lol...
It was a Christmas tree of Evos flashing everywhere
I do dislike getting track limit punishment for getting rammed off, it makes 0 sense..

Edit:, tried B on Asian account, barely anyone in new Ford. Even met @Baliwa and his famous 1 bar connection, threading thru carnage in T1 :D

Started 2nd. T1 bump to last. Worked back up and jumped the RC F and Slophy with good fuel economy.

Is it just me experiencing the Ice roads on Interlagos? I'm so slow but every single corner I just understeer through no matter what. I have almost no grip in the front wheels. I've tried around 10 cars so far. I'm not a slow racer so I know it's not me lol
Could it be the marbles effect the new tyres more than before? I used to take different lines through the complexy part of the track to others but was just sliding like a demon on turn in. Since i went back to the normal line it seems much better...

Isn't there a note in the update, about tyres needing longer to recover, from riding on the edge of the circuit?

Just had another weird race at Interlagos. Qualified second (I qualified in the ford but then did the race in the pug) but I had 6 fords filling the places behind me and 1 in front.

Race starts and I check my mirrors and all cars from pos 3 back are stationary. They eventually seem to start but by the complex we have a 10 second gap

I can’t keep pace with the Ford in front but then on the last lap he bins it on the final turn. Hollow victory but I don’t have many so I’ll take it

Had this happen in my nations cup race earlier too, all cars from 15th got stuck frozen and we eventually
started but ruined our races as leaders were at least 8 seconds down the track if not more.

So, borrowing the format from @Sven Jurgens , I present my evening the first time I’ve really been able to have a proper session on GT Sport. Started with Inter, one of my fav tracks and the GR3 cars are my probably most consistent and easiest to drive. Went pretty ok, then tried my hand at GR4… turns out I’m horrible and got matched against DRA and a DRS chap.

Abandoning that, I go back to Inter and have mixed results. The last race was the most frustrating, I feel like I could have easily have gotten 2nd but I got caught out by the really early braking of a couple of guys into T3 and knock one of them off the track trying to avoid them, which lands me a penalty... I let them pass and try and follow them through. Last lap and I’ve been able to scrub about half a second off my 2 second penalty and there is carnage up front, I jump up to 3rd and can easily challenge for 2nd… only to then get dive bombed from a mile away and punted off the track way down to 5th. Still making places on where I started but if I hadn’t had been so caught out and have perhaps anticipated my braking I could have easily gotten a podium! :banghead:

I missed off the last race in which I finished 5th!

Can someone advise me if there is a tool anywhere on KudosPrime or here that allows you to determine how much SR you can gain/loose from a daily race lobby.

It seems 10 points are currently available for a clean race with no penalties or collisions/off track excursions
so by that reckoning I need to do at least 6 more races to get back to SR 99 assuming no incidents.

Any points for the above would be helpful.

Sadly there is no such tool, however you can sort of work it out in advance.

For a weekly C race the max per race is usually about twice the nr of laps, I'm guessing about 18 for NGP.
Daily A and B are usually capped at 4 and 5, yet it seems A is 5 points this week, while I got 7 points for a contact free clean race at Interlagos.

Actually it seems based on the nr of sectors. 0.25 SR per clean sector in daily A and B, 0.5 SR per clean sector in a daily C.
Big Willow is 4 sectors x 5 laps, 20 * 0.25 = 5 SR
Interlagos is 5 sectors x 5 laps, 25 * 0.25 = 6.25 SR rounded up for a clean race?
NGP is 5 sectors x 9 laps, 45 * 0.5 = 22.5 SR which could be right. daily C is often between 20 and 25 points.

At SR.B the max you can get seems to be 1.5x the max at SR.S and at SR.E it's about 2.5x or even 3x for a contact free race. You get more SR per race the lower your SR is.

The fastest way to SR.S is drop your SR to E then do a contact free clean race at the daily C ;) Values of 108 for a clean race have been recorded on jason's site. (Unfortunately no longer working) Of course you DR will be down to 3K after that!

My very first race in Sport Mode (I knew it was going to be awful, but I wanted to see how the "real game" feels after only racing against dumb AI), and some asshat punts me offtrack because apparently it would hurt his ego to lose a battle for the 9th place against a girl.

Idiot.

I get this from time to time, unfortunately it's something you will have to get used to, the male ego is easily hurt. Most guys you meet won't be like this, especially those who are members here, the best thing to do is beat them cleanly next time, karma can be sweet...

Avoiding all contact while still racing isn't easy, for example

Coming up on T3, avoid the ghost, good call. Don't out brake nr 15, he will veer to the inside in the braking zone.
Brake early for T5, congestion ahead. Keep track of nr 13 going wide, hug the inside, he'll probably dive back in.
Oh crap, 3 more going wide, adjust speed, predict paths and find a spot to slot in between.
Watch car coming on the outside. Crap nr 11 is spinning out, brake. Watch the car squeezing by on the inside!
All in a days work to get the clean race bonus.

Or this, ridiculous how the game handles lag.

I had to slow down so unfortunately the lagger caught my draft. All I could do was slow down to a crawl and let his jumping car go by then stay well behind him. There were still 2 occasions where his car jumped through me. His lag did finally clear up in lap 4, passed him, got the fastest lap and another clean race bonus. However I could have gotten a lot further in that room had I not been stuck tip toeing around a Mexican jumping bean for 3 laps.

How is this possible. It's almost as if the data packets are received out of order and someone forgot to number them when sending them, confusing the hell out of my console on reception. If they were properly numbered or time stamped it should not get this bad.

It seems I'm invincible with the AMG at Interlagos: Sport Mode Consecutive Clean Races 21
DR still steady at 21.5k, alternating between A+/S to B/S rooms, B/S to C/S rooms and B/S to D/S rooms.

Time for a brake and switched cars. I was going to keep driving the same car until my clean streak breaks yet it doesn't seem to happen. Bored of the AMG. Interlagos is still a fun challenge navigating around all the mess. Perhaps I could have a career in ATC.

Update: It has happened. I had 2 more clean races in the RCF GT3 then encountered a Ford in the back.

I can't go wide as there is a car there, slow down to avoid but then he spins out. I brake yet can not out break a car going sideways, tap him at about 35 kph right before he ghosts. SR Down, 2 sec penalty, -4 SR, clean streak of 23 reset. That's right PD, I am scum and should be punished severely for this 👍 Next car.

What a day.

Race B is brutal. My SR went as low as 21 from trying to be cautious and getting booted off. Used race C to get back up to 57. Hopefully tomorrow goes better. I’ll be sticking to race C though, I find it to be much cleaner, and I can use pit strategy to avoid idiots.

The SR is really confusing me though. I have clean races where I lose SR, races with penalties where I gain SR. I’ve had a couple races where a single incedent in T1 on lap one has cost me 25 points, and I’ve had other races where I’ve gained 20+ points...but then I’ll have other races, clean, gaining 5+ positions to finish on be podium, and I’ll gain maybe 2 SR.

Erm, how would he know you were a girl? I suspect he/she was an asshat to everyone... an equal opportunity asshat :dopey:.

I think its all about how many clean sectors vs total amount of sectors driven in the race. Any contact or off track means its not a clean sector meaning you get SR reduction.

I've been running racing line and even following the on screen racing line to ensure I'm not being a bit off and it still occurs. I know you tend to drop grip etc when you have poor connection but my interwebs are second to none here in the UK. No downtime and always peaking. I'm at a loss. I done a race last night, started from the back to see how I went and finished 7th with a best of high 1:32 so its a lot better. Until I hit mid to high 31's ill keep complaining haha.

Not true, I think clean race now just means don't go off track/don't get a penalty because you knocked someone off track. But I had one guy hit another guy into me where I was knocked off the track, and he didn't get a penalty

How does that make what i said not true.

They definetely changed something with the clean races as it seems more easy to get them now but clean race or not, penalty or not, clean overtakes, none of that matters towards SR. Only how many sectors were clean or not seems to matter.

You said any contact, the guy that hit someone into me never got a penalty, I guess I will never know if he got a clean race because he is just pushing everyone off the track every race

The same happens to me, except they do it to me because i am a guy.
