No need to pit, drive 80-90% of your fastest one of the easier tyre wear/fuel races. Just look after front left tyre by not over braking on it.
I'm also using a controller, and murdering my front tyres in race C.
Competition was strong last night on Brand's hatch. Full A/S rooms, pretty much a 911 OneMake. Race A and C must not be very popular this week.
So.. I had a go at race C using my TH8. I clearly had an advantage over the opposition. Qualified on pole and I was nearly 10 seconds clear of P2 at the end. It did feel a bit like cheating...
Ok this may explain the reason why I started getting passed up near the end!! I was keeping up with some A DR drivers but suddenly started to get gapped quite a bit. I was like man how the hell are their tires not wearing out.
But reading some of the comments in here, I was braking pretty hard on every corner. Probably should practice on that but besides that I really enjoy daily race C. Probably will try B today.
I really hope eventually we will get some "N###" races soon, I like driving GT cars alot but I like driving street cars as well and every lobby race I join the races are never clean.
Remember not to pit, you really don’t need to. Just watch your cornering speed in the second half of the race.I might just do a bunch of Race C with my shifter just because of this. I’m usually the only one in the races I’m matched in with all driving aids off and ABS Weak, plus I heel & toe on downshifts (with a small chance of mis-shifts), so I’d say it’s a fair trade![]()
Race A is too slow and race C, I suspect if you drive auto it's a REALLY tough slog, the 86 needs revs and coming out of the two key corners it lugs in 3rd, killing your lap times.
So the madness of race B it is.
Nailing that many corners without contact wedged in between two cars on a track like Brand's, that's real racing!
Brand's is such a technical track that needs practice that one can really see difference in driving standards among lower and higher DR much more than, say, Tokyo.Mmmm, I was sceptical about Bathurst but it actually turned out OK by midweek as everybody had a handle on the track. Brands on the other hand just gives me nightmares in public matchmaking. Don't know if I should risk it lol. Technical track + impatient sport mode racers = recipe for disaster.
I've run some qually with the NSX and pulled a 1.24.088 but unless I'm starting top 5 of the grid, I'm not even touching this race..... yet.
1.24.0 is hustling, you're a solid 2 seconds faster than i am.
Bathurst has two clear passing areas, Brands has none, and it's trickier than bathurst to just stay on track. I gained about 6,000 DR points at bathurst, will be lucky to break even at brands i reckon, it's tough sledding. At least it is 6 laps rather than the ridiculous 3 last week.
It's a shame more people don't realise this - it seems like too many people try to overtake where there isn't really an opportunity (or a need sometimes), and spoil a good race as a result!
You really need to charge that phone. So, did another race C and won, now I’m back in the zone... almost
