Back on 1 DR point (yes lowest possible number) but I am not having much success with starting from the back in gaining DR as the drivers in the races are not making mistakes so any pointers for how I can try to climb back the ladder?
I believe the standard response is "Get gud"

I spent 30 or my first 50 days of racing on DR 1 ( which is whey when I get back to my home at DR/D my reports end with "another day above DR 1

). It really comes down to luck and qualifying. You need to qualify if you want to start high enough up the board to give you room to get bashed, smashed and knocked about to not fall too far back. You need luck with matching to get into a race with similar DR to you. My experience is that matching generally seems to be better when you are on SR 99. You are already on DR 1, so you can't get any lower, so maybe focus on re-gaining SR to max. 👍
Well I just finished my first Race C at Fuji. My qualifying time, which was crap, had me starting P15/17 in a grid of mostly DR/A and B. I saw
@brianloch in my race and wished him luck. With me on the grid, his luck ran out

.
I was all snug at the back and instead of having radar, it showed the track section. I was pressing the wrong buttons to try getting it right, missed the auto drive cut and was bouncing of the rev limiter in 2nd and still trying to get my view back to chase and the radar up, so back into last place for me

!
Even though I'd done laps qualifying, I was still so lost on that track (despite having done 228 laps of the darn thing on GT4!) I spent the race short shifting to conserve fuel. This meant that I got ahead of a few people when they pitted. Sadly, brian was one of them. Whilst trying to navigate the track I spun him out and ruined his race. Sorry brian

. I finished last, but with 3 people not finishing, that was 1 position up from my start.
The damage? SR went from 85 to 93. DR dropped about 350. Day 7 visiting DR/C.
