I tried the GTR and Hurrican last night on the QT’s and I was slower by 1-2 seconds over the Peugeot, maybe I just need more time in the Lambo, it seems to be a popular choice. The 7th gear messes me up and I end up not downshifting enough or downshifting too much lol, Im used to 6 gears. I tried the Viper too but it wasn’t much different, I ran the Peugeot all week last week so I’m in tune with it now but I don’t think it’s fast enough for this track in DR A, these guys are quick.

I actually just won that car last night, I’ll have to give it a try tonight. Thanks for the suggestion. :)
Some cars are better at certain tracks, this is the only track I've had any luck with the Evo.

How does it do climbing the hills? That’s where the RCZ seems to struggle a little, it’s great around and coming out of the corners but can’t keep up in the hill climbing.

There are Lag-Switch users in gt-s.
You can easily spot them.
If you see one of them, report them!
First time I hear about this " Lag-Switch user " so I went on the internet for a explanation about Lag-Switch user hmmmm that ain't no good .
How can you detect them when some one is doing a little Lag-Switch dance whit you ?

If you come across a lag switcher you'll know. They have a good connection and no sign of lag at all, right until you are right behind them about to overtake, suddenly their car is bouncing all over the place, even backwards, you hit them (only on your screen) or make a mistake because of it and their connection returns to good again as soon as they are in the clear. It's not a coincidence that their connection went bad only when you were trying to pass them and was fine all the rest of the race, although there are far less of these cheaters in GT Sport than other games, FIFA for instance is bad for it.

It's no good reporting them though, there's no way you can have total proof and no one seems to be banned anyway unless they upload loads of inappropriate content. For instance all the cheaters using their version of the track in Race C should be banned but it's not going to happen and they know this so they exploit away.

Thank you for this explanation ASH32 .

New track. New track limit problem. Disappointed. Kills everyone’s joy within the first week.

Yes, the testers (if they even have any) are doing it wrong, they need to try to break the game otherwise you end up with situations like this. It's also the reason they persist with the reset to track feature but of course that isn't activated here, the one time where it would only stop people trying to gain an advantage, since no one goes down there by accident, you just have to laugh really.

I was going to try race C tonight (love Catalunya) for the first time in months but hearing about the limits, I guess I won't.:(

Another week in the lobbies then.
I am not in the understanding of lobbies buddy? What is that? Do I have to be invited?

They SHOULD be! Period! Cheers

How many of you guys are DS4 users compared to wheel users?? I spent a fair amount of time on race A just qualifying and trying to put in a good lap the last 2 days. I was down to 1:31.9 with my wheel and started watching some of the fast replays. 1 of the top times is on a DS4 and I studied his lap pretty hard, he is able to do things that I cant on my wheel. So I try my DS4 and after 5 laps Im already 5/10ths faster and the car is easier to drive. The real kicker is that I am not saying I am good with my wheel but I know I suck with the DS4. The only video games i play are racing games and the only one I have played in the last 4 years has been GTS when I got it last Christmas. Have any of you wheel users noticed this?

Never tried but interesting issue fastone371! Cheers for sheering. Love my wheels though... ;)

I find the Sport races to be a bit stressful so I often do my own lobby. Pot luck for tracks and cars. I don't do many open lobbies though. Too many nutters out there.

If you're clean and respectful on track, send me a friend request (Digtater) to give it a try.👍

Yes I honestly prefer clean races I'm not always racing to win but of course it's what I really want --- :) , Mine is CPTGA-cpt . (don't know how to invite yet will check tomorrow. Bed time here in the Philippines now... 3am :) . Thanks for the invite mate!

Yes the pad has a lot of built in assistance in this game to allow it to compete against the wheel and at simpler tracks it may even be better than a wheel because of it, at a more technical track, say Suzuka, you won't be able to beat the top wheel drivers using the pad no matter how good you are and some controller users are ridiculously good.

Did my first Group 3 race today st Catslunya, started ninth, got hit in turn one and ended up backwards in the gravel. Soldiered on, pitted on lap six, accidentally pressed something and left the pits without refueling :dunce:

Love the circuit though and no corner cutting in the EU races I've seen.

On yeah, the Viper sounds really nice 👍

can we rename the thread from

"Daily" Race Discussion

to something a bit more apt

Daily "Race" Discussion

honestly I feel so let down, the glitch problem is game breaking now, my last race about 5 of us got stuck behind a wobbler stationery, then just as the counter clicks from 1 to start it puts me in reverse!

every lobby I've been in I've got stuck behind one of these and it just ruins the start, not to mention the TT "widebois" in Race B that just ram you off at any given opportunity. I'm in an A+/A S lobby this standard of driving is unnacceptable.

Then Race C can just go to hell, I was purple by nearly a second in the first and second sectors only to lose time over the line :thinkingemoji:

hope this patch comes soon because I'm putting the wheel down for now, cue the violin

Race C is awful... I just stay out of trouble as much as possible and I win by about 10s as everyone wrecks and dive bombs like crazy...

These waterbugs floating over the track in the last sector are so annoying...

I can’t believe how salty people get for being overtaken, literally to the point where I’m getting rammed off the track for making a clean pass.

Actually I can believe it, what was I thinking.

That's just sad but like you said not surprising. I was once taken out three times in one race by the same guy because I was dirty and knocked him off, only thing was it wasn't me at all. I guess I was the first car he saw as he returned to the track or something, I don't know.

Another time I made slight contact with someone when passing so next lap they hit me so hard I hit the barrier at the end of a massive run-off area.

Don't forget that there's lots of decent and fair racers out there, it's just a few that manage to ruin a lot of races. :(

@8l23ub

I use Digtater as my main account. I thought you was already on it?

(Can you edit out my email please mate?:))

That’s also happening to me, contact between two cars so one retaliates against me?!

But seriously I’m passing a car, no contact whatsoever, clean as you like and literally getting punted off the next corner, how is that racing!?[/QUOTE]

If you get a chance try qualifying the Awful Audi at race A then try it with your DS4, it seems like you are driving a different car the change is so dramatic. With the wheel the car slides so much its almost uncontrollable and its like it has race tires with the DS4.

@Mr616 - we nearly got to race tonight on Race B but ....... I got disconnected :mad::mad:

I know. I was typing hello and your name didn't show up in the users at the bottom  I saw the carnage unfold in my mirror on the very next race.
Just beat @Mr616 by 0.052 :gtpflag::cheers:

And as for you.... lol. Great to actually race you properly. Lovely overtakes to stitch me up... twice!

I'm on a 13 clean race bonus and I was inches off your bumper  Great clean racing mate. Good wins.

How fast was that last lobby? Jeez

Edit: Nearly forgot, congrats on DR:A+ @Arcflyer

I don't understand all the complaining about track limits. Everyone has to follow the same rules/limits and it's up to you to find out where they are. Should the track limits be different? Sure, of course they should. But refrain from racing because of some chicane-cutting that you are also perfectly capable of doing yourself? Seems like a silly reason not to play a very fun game we all enjoy. Just cut the chicane yourself and get a good qualy time, or don't, who cares, but don't let it ruin your experience.
