Skipped the 10am race to buy Zombie/Manson tix missed the 1020 and 1040 cuse of dog and stuff, so i tried to join the 1050 B race. I saw @Sven Jurgens and promptly lost connection to the lobby. Oh well back to try another A race i guess. Feel like i found a groove there anyway... lol

10:50 AM race. A Mexican in an Atenza bumps my inside rear at corner exit before the straight. Enough to upset my car on the kerbs and slow me down so he can pass. No dice buddy, off you go in T1. It cost me a 3 sec penalty, 7 SR and a place at the finish. SR points well spend. I've always been seeing this system wrong. It's not sportmanship, it's currency to spend on 'education'. I crossed the line in 5th yet finished 6th as I didn't serve the penalty in trade of the fastest lap. -7 SR, DR 19,681. Up 200.

Perhaps I should figure out how to make a livery with this

I'm on Huracan win #6 at Suzuka this week. I should have used it more earlier in the week, but I experimented with the 650. Even in a stacked field, these cars (I have 3) have put me on the podium.

I'd put that sticker on back of every one of my cars.

Been out of town a few days, jonesin for a race. You guys' exploits keep me entertained though. Maybe when I get home tonight I'll try a few dailies. (If the wife is sleeping)

Been sticking with race A, if I don't bobble I can get consistent top 5s. SR has taken a hit but almost to DR C for the first time. Actually led first 9 laps of a race, tapped and passed with 2 turns to go. Frustrating, but at least I'm contending in a race here and there. I'll get a win soon.

11:10 race. Chaos again. Someone messes up the esses, runs into another car who gets bumped right into my path and I finish him off :O, messy. No penalty though. I did get SR Downs for cars running into me but I was too focused to take numbers. Then in the last lap I try to undercut a car in the final corner, I misjudge how wide he's going to go and bump his rear. My bad. I brake and let him recover, then brake at the finish again as somehow he got a 0.6 penalty although he didn't actually leave the track and I got SR Down :confused: Lag I guess. I apologized in the chat. He accepted.

A lot of red ratings in that race. I lost 1 SR, to 91, DR 20,032 +350 for finishing 8th. Lot of aliens up front, fast room.

Make up your mind. Are we gonna go high, or are we gonna go low? While stalking you, yesterday I dropped my SR down, and then you shot back up. Now I'm doing boring Suzuka races to chase you back up the SR ladder. I think we know who the big chicken is. :)

Had a 20 day break from gt.
Came with a few minute practice on Dragon Trail, started 14th, finished 7th. Did a quali, started 7th, finished 5th. I love Dragon Trail, fun races.

Did a 10 min quali on Suzuka, no practice, started 4th, finished 1st. I love Suzuka. Atenza with rear bias brakes conserves the tires nicely, not very fast, but consistent.

Guess it is good to have a rest from racing from time to time.

While i do love racing on these two tracks they seem to be far too often part of the dailys.

11:30 race. Another dirty driver on the way. It's the sneaky SR.S kind of dirty, bumping me in such a way in T4 that I get stuck in the sand and lose another 2 spots. It takes a while to chase him down as I have to cleanly pass the other two first. I catch up to him in the final lap at the bus stop. He messes up, pressure. I pass him in the tunnel, can't punt him off in there, he still tries to bump me yet his speed is just too slow. He can't get near me in the final corner, oh well. Finish 9th, +1 SR, DR 19,915 (-117). A bunch of Spanish swear words in the chat afterwords.

two more A races and two more great races. podiums are good enough for me, especially with the quality of racing i had all this morning. my dr is on a steady climb after being destroyed by that stupid Honda, and i am really starting to feel more confident in my abilities on track with the wheel. the kind of racing i had this morning is the reason i play this game. i wish i had the time to edit and post some clips from the replays i saved, cuse i swear it was some of the best moments i have had in this game to date.

Enter race, stay at the straight, turn around until the DQ timer starts counting down, turn around until it stops and SR Down shows, repeat. You can quit the race right before the finish timer ends for an extra -5 SR.

On Suzuka you will go from 99 to 1 no problem, even while 'pausing' to let the field through safely every lap. On race B you either need to do two runs or ignore the field and just keep going. (They'll drive through you, you are ghosted, however you are causing yellow flags giving people penalties that overtake near you)
 
11:50 AM race. This is supposed to be clean racing time... Two dirty drivers met. First a Brazilian in a Huracan, grinding me into a wall in such a way I get the SR Down :confused: His mistake, lifting too much in the bus stop, kill confirmed. However then a dirty American pushes me off in the esses in such a way I get the SR Down while ending up in the sand against the wall, I fall all the way to last, only 2 laps to go. Chase mode engaged. I catch up in the esses in the final lap, however he's serving a penalty for bumping a Brazilian off. I finish 10th, -3 SR to 89, DR 19,826 (-90)

SR.S bleh, one more race before I need to go, then I might go back to SR.E in the afternoon. SR.S only stands for sneaky dirty driving. I rather race honest dirty than this level of calculated bumping.

12:10 race. Chaos in lap 1 in the bus stop. I can't see anything and clip the wall with the rest of the backfield. I make it to 4th during the rest of the race to get bump passed by a Brazilian in an Atenza in the final corner. I finish 6th, Brazil reported, yet again. +1 SR to 90, DR 19,924 (+98) Split the server, split the server, splt the server.

Ok I can squeeze one more in before I have to run. Is a second clean race possible in SR.S???

12:30 race. Nope no clean races in SR.S. 4 red ratings (1xA) 2 neutral. I was stuck behind a group of 4 for 2 laps while in 10th place, there was no room to start overtaking. The Brazilian in the group started a fight with an American. Then I bumped another American in the fall out of the bumping at the bus stop exit and got bumped by the car behind me, chain reaction, momentum exchange, we all stayed on. The Brazilian and American kept going and drove each other off in the final turn. I finished 8th with those two out of the way. +2 SR to 92, DR 20,302 (+378). The alien up front got under 1:45 for best lap, 1:44.9 !

Uh, it's 69 atm. You don't need to come down. I'll get there. It will be a while, though. I have to take off to go do some stuff.

I must give credit where it's due. @Oshawa-Joe has busted me on my new profile identity. 👍 As you pointed out, I made the bonehead mistake of posting a pic of the starting lineup that had my lap time in it. :banghead:

No need. I just type to the perps, "Next race, I'm offing you.". Next race, sure nuf that perp is there ahead of me. I'm making my way to them and they play nice. I've also had perps behind me and they didn't try to divebomb me and off me again. Oh, they reform. Trust. :lol:
 
Race B, North America server at 12.30pm & 12.50pm MST were just brutal to take part in.

I gave in and qualified and started 7th in race one, in a field of S/S, A+/S, A/S, A/A and a few of my group, B/S, and a couple of C/S.

Something must have happened in earlier races as everyone under the Green & Gold flag were after one USA racer. All of them were in the higher DR ranking too, but acted like absolute spoilt brats.

It was 'fun' trying to dodge their antics, but they were all just out for revenge.

Ended the race 3rd and one of a few with a blue S.

The after race chat was interesting.

This then carried on to the next race at 12.50. Started 11th.

Same few from the previous race, but a few different Green & Golds, but all doing the same antics. The US racer they were after, an A/A was in truth a bit of an ass, and a typical higher ranked racer who didn't care much for anyone rated below them. They were taken out at the slow right hander on the waterfront, and they ended up behind me.

More carnage ensued and I finished with blue S again, and only in 5th this time.

The after race chat was even more colourful, with the US driver now being actively hunted by all Green & Golds.

For the 2 races, I gained a rather healthy 1899 dr points. Wish I could have hung around to see what happened, but sadly had to go back to work!
 
Struggling to raise my DR back to S rhid week. i love rzce B with the Huracan and managed several very clean races with it. Now I'm trying with the NSX. Got the same pace with it in qualifying (48.1, 48.0 with some laps in pace for a 47.6 laps if I managed to finish cleanly...)
 
I'm just trying to work my levels up to A+/S so on the off chance I want to do a quick race I'll be more likely to have a clean race

I am consistently getting 1.47.2xx in the Veyron and Huracan in qualifying but I race with the Ferrari which is in the 1.48's. I can't get better than 1.49's with the NSX but I only gave it about 4 laps
 
Alright, I'm back. Ready for some race B action. Seeking the victory that has, thus far eluded me. I can't, for the life of me figure out where I'm giving up 2.4 seconds to the # 1 guy. Not that I expect to be # 1, but within 1.5 seconds, maybe. 25 races so far, and 12 top 5s, with a few podiums.

I'm going to appeal to the public on this one, and lay down a Q lap, then upload it, here to see if y'all can help. B back, shortly.

Ok so after reading a good chunk of that book, it’s clear I’m not planning enough(among many other things), so, new plan, plan more!! :lol:

The week is almost over but I wanted to try it anyways to get started, I made a map of DT Seaside with corners prioritized by importance, fastest corner leading to a straight away being most important(according to the book). Plus I added notes for certain areas as reminders, the book also said to do this. Idea being to master the most important corners first, then work your way down the list until it’s complete.

There’s only 2 days left in the week so it won’t happen this week, but I’m excited to put the plan into action from here on out, Hopefully it helps.

I'm back. First race this afternoon

4:10 pm, Weird matchmaking, The same alien as at noon was at front, 1;44.895 best lap, most of the room was D/S. The start was botched but I managed to weave through a bunch of stalled cars, finished 3rd, 0.018 in front of 4th. 99 SR, DR 20,785 (+483)

4;30 race. Same botched start. I avoid the mess yet get bumped off on the way to T1, can't brake, bump a car who bumps a car. I get a penalty. I'm in 6th after the chicane, then become the pinball when the whole field careens into me for T4. I drop to 14th. I make it to 7th eventually and drop a place at the finish because of the penalty. Messy race, lot of red ratings including me. -5 SR to 94, DR 20,560 (-225)

The Nao Toque sticker didn't help. I can't really see if it's applied well or not. It won't stick to the blue for some reason.

4:50 race. 🤬 SR +5 to 99, DR 19,450 (-1110)

5:10 race 🤬 5 blue ratings out of 16 (including me) one dropped to A. Finished 10th DR 19,001 (-449)

Here it is. Not my best lap, but it's an accurate depiction of how I've been driving the track. I know I blew it on the right-hander before the esses (too wide). This was with TCS 0, BB 0. It's funny how you can play this video blind-folded and tell that I'm using on/off for the throttle. :lol:
Where am I losing all that time? Not looking for "get a wheel & pedals". I know. Usually I can hang with those guys better. This race is just kicking my 🤬.
 
@sturk0167 Interesting to see AT shift versus how I've been shifting on DT, very different. No clue if my shifting is better, I can't touch the aliens either. AT shifts a lot earlier than me and doesn't drop to 2nd in T4 for example. I also drop to 2nd in the corner before the bus stop.
