To quote Rob Schneider, You can do eet!! :D

I actually met him, along with Adam Sandler and the rest of his crew. They took over my town when they filmed Mr.Deeds. The day they did the scene with all the red Corvettes was fun. I think every red Corvette in a 100 mile radius was in town.

I tried 3 races with rear brake balance on the Nord. The car feels a bit more stable in some corners, however I'm at least 3 seconds slower over all, and got a grass penalty in two of my races. Now to get used to neutral again. Don't touch what aint broke :banghead:

Yep, 3 sec faster with brake balance at 0 and clean race bonus. Tuning is not for me.

Race A seems to be another huge SR hog.
Did a completely CLEAN RACE --> +4
Got punted around a lot by slipstreaming guys --> -30
OMG

Nord is only worth 5 points. Two draft taps from behind and you get a white rating.

Hmm today it's Bolivia ruining my races, two wins robbed by their stupid moves.
GT Sport is keeping my South American flag knowledge up to date...
Next race, he's in front of me again, cause SR.A gets to drive with SR.S, he gets a shotcut penalty and starts brake checking to get rid of it bits at a time, slowing me down so 4th can catch up and first can get away. Dirty as can be.

Can we start a petition somewhere to split the server again

Sooo in short, you want to build an internet wall to make gt sport great again?

Unless you still have hope the penalty system actually gets fixed. There were no changes this update that I noticed.

My next race, no South Americans in the top 5, triple star victory improving my best race time to 8:37.6 Just saying.

It's the lag combined with driving too close that's ruining races. The penalty system makes it worse by giving laggy drivers the benefit of the doubt while rewarding draft bumping to the one doing the bumping.

Lag can't be fixed until we get quantum entangled inerwebs. Matchmaking based on ping time would work much better than the arbitrary region splits we have now. My ping time to the UK is half of that to South America.

Yep, every time. 3 SA in the last race. The Brazilian is second bumps first and goes off giving first a 2 sec penalty. Due to them having to slow down I have to slow down and get rammed by the Columbian behind me. Then a different Brazilian dives into Aremberg and manages to hit my rear bumper to bump me off to pass. Very messy start of the race with the aggressive driving. I make it back to 4th in the end, finish 3rd as the pole sitter still has that 2 sec penalty. The Brazilian dirty player won the race.

So I'm treading water in DR B. Was down to 10300 this morning. :scared:

Luckily I got a good grid on race B this afternoon. Started 5th, finished 4th. And raced contact free for the first time this week.

Sven was #1 in the race. Didn't notice it until the finish. Always look for him at the back. Didn't register to see him in front.

I did three races today, one C and two B. All consisted of being shoved off the track along with the tedious task of passing countless cars. I decided to be an a**hole today and simply shoved through the slow, blocking drivers, too. I collected a few seconds of penalties but was able to get rid of them on the fly without dedicated breaking.

Thank god I was on my secondary account!

Anybody remember the DOS-Game Death-Track? Where you could equip your car with guns, rockets, mines and other helpful utilities? I want these as buyable items in the Miles-Shop.

One more race, brought the Supra home in 4th :D I gained 1060 DR from this race, which should speak volumes about the players I'm being matched with  Four members of the SS in the lobby, my door number was 9 :scared: I don't really want easier lobbies though, I'm having fun even not winning, and a win will taste so much better if I do get it eventually (tomorrow).

Latency will always be difficult to overcome. I had thought ghosting could help mitigate this but some recent experiences ive had lobby racing - using an alt mostly- lead me to think i was wrong. I suppose it the same for dailys and fia for that matter.

I haven't noticed as much lag recently. But you race a lot more. PD should hire you as track/Douchebabgery patrol. 👍

My experience over last few weeks has been pretty equal with regards to flags. Americans being the most common offenders but that's obviously because of the number of players is like x10. Brazil is probably 2nd. But again due to numbers. I find it proportionally consistent.

And penalties...all I can say is, Gamers gonna game. The messed up thing is it probably take the same amount of time to practice some of those exploits as it does to get faster/drive smoother.

It depends on the time of day. Yet to be fair, the race I did just now it was an American diving into T minus one punting pole off. Can't even wait until after the start line with punting people off. I know him though, thought he had improved his ways yet I guess not. He DNF after dropping back. Worst thing was he hesitated after bumping pole out of the way causing a pile up as well.... Not a good place to try to serve a penalty or give the position back in the middle of the road on the start line...

I don't find it proportionally consistent though. Americans are in the majority in most races and I have the least problems with them. Canadians cause trouble more often despite their much lower numbers while the majority of South Americans are consistent late braking and diving, which usually doesn't end well with 3 bars or less.

Starting second next behind Brazil. I know he's clean, should be a good race :)
The American behind me can go either way, also know him.

If you have Spotify(there is a free version) you can link it to your PS4 and play your own music anytime during the game, you just need to turn down the Race/Menu BGM.
...
I haven't done that, I hope I am not paying for Spotify's service as I have another brand's. But why does GTS praise murder? Whenever my machine wakes up, there it is, singing "Murder" ... I don't like Sony propagating murder in what is a machine and game used by youth. 👎 👎 👎

For the Nord, IMO its a great track for those not using wheels. The setup does not reward smoothness or throttle control, it basically rewards radical steering wheel movement and having the car on the edge of every single driving cone (if you opt for using those). For me to race my main account there, I would have to setup my steering wheel to 70 degrees I reckon. I might try that and see what happens, I am curious to find out. if guys with wheels that are setup by GTS, then I hope its very direct at the 'Ring, otherwise they are being disadvantaged IMO.

The Brazilians in general tend to be weapons in any sort of online racing because they all think they're the next coming of Ayrton Senna and need to do that whole "if you no longer go for a gap" crap.

I definitely saved the replay on that one...

(I'm NewAesthetic.)

I don't understand people diving for the right-hander before the start of the lap at the 'Ring. Seriously, that's where you want to make a move? It's even more frustrating that I was given the penalty for that. Someone rams me off before the lap has even started, and I get a 2s penalty. Solid.

That's so aggravating. At least wait until we clear the starting line before you begin dive bombing people.

I should have posted it in the "unpopular opinions thread".

side note - I've noticed a lot less of the "race clean" pre-race messages which used to be an indicator of someone who does the opposite.

Wait a minute, this is the race I was thinking of. He ended up intentionally trying to wreck me for over half the lap. Then of course quit.

It's frustrating, but I suppose I can't complain, since this Evo/Ring combo has been quite good to me: I think I've gained 6–8 poles/wins since it started, which is pretty significant since I was in the low-to-mid 30s for both of those a week ago.

You were the victim in both :/ The first one was a few corners after T1

Great race that one just now, so much nicer with clean drivers :)

In the Asian sector that I have raced with my new account, now 28 races, I've won 7 but lost 4 with skilful bumps, I'm now on 17k points and a B/barely S driver, there are various spots that OK drivers use to hit you in order to get past. The irony is that when you get punted they are not faster. One classic place is to hit you in the back at the Karussell. Use the car in front to brake, and also to assist in turning. Another ideal place is in the middle of the Eiskurve. You might have to check the map of the Nord - but its a corner where you do have to brake, and you start the car on the right and turn left, and it leads onto really fast bits with one fast corner that precedes the kleines Karussell. (By the way ensure you get your car on the left curb and use the angle of that kleines Karussell, its the fast way around there). So you go right and brake, and turn left at the Eiskurve. Boy are you vulnerable there - the car behind just aims at you line and takes you out, and increases speed as they bounce off you, and you go into the fence. They get a penalty but they get revenge and also they can open a gap - a penalty of 1.2 seconds there for doing so. They think its worth it I guess.

Because I have been in the top three in every race with my now B status, if I l am leading and not pulling away, I'll defend, thanks. Eventually they'll miss a corner and then I will be able to open a decent gap. But otherwise, I'll defend. And if I am second and the leader has got away - I'll continue to keep an eye on the car behind me and defend. IMO that's racing.

Also the game gives an advantage to the car behind with the setup at the 'ring at the moment. You need to be 1.3 seconds in front when you enter the main final straight at Döttinger Höhe in order to survive IMO. If you're behind and you're in third place, ensure the lead car is at least 1.5 seconds in front of second place, because otherwise the 2nd car will get a tow and for some reason, you will not. I was third and had a bumper car just 0.650 seconds in front when I entered that main straight - I planned to cruise past, plus the guy had a penalty for hitting me off the track earlier on. I had been sitting behind the lead car but got punted off. Both Japanese drivers. But I gained nothing on the bumper car 0.6 seconds in front ... who got up to the lead car, and then got rid of his penalty (over a second) by drafting on the very long straight. I sat back and got mad ... the aero physics is ridiculous.

I beat the Q time of my alt profile by over 6 minutes! I hate to tell you this, @Sven Jurgens, but I'm pretty sure it was due to adjusting the brake bias. :sly:

You mean, you found the brake pedal? Bet you can't beat my Tokyo qualy time

6 minutes should account for more than brake bias. Did your alter profile stop for coffee or perhaps N2?
Yeah 6 minutes sounds more like a medical problem. Blackout drunk is not healthy. :sly:

This one must have included a flight to... Florida?

maybe it's my driving style but i find on nurb, neutral to front BB is best. you sacrifice too much braking distance by shifting to the rear. there are many instances where you have to brake from really high speeds to low speeds to negotiate corners. I am speaking in generalities of course, as some specific cars may benefit.

Last week at BB I was using +4 (to the right side of the dial). This week -2. Because someone here suggested -2 for th Nord (thanks). +2 did seem slower though. In all of my cars I am +1 or +2 or more, but the Nord device is not a car IMO.
