@suprajef There may be another impostor. You ever hear of a guy called turismo-ron? He started on the pole at race A. I asked him before the race if he was turismo team, and he said yes, then I beat him by about 10 seconds. :odd:

Turismo-Sturk? ;)

Where can I see the future races. I went into the calendar on the Gran Turismo site but I don't see it.
What Group will it be at Interlagos ? (Interlagos is my most successful track 114 races, 7 wins, 39 top five)

You can see them right here. :)

And if you enter your PSN Name here, you can see all of your Sport Mode stats. :)

I haven't race much this week but the races I've had at Suzuka have been very close and clean.

I want to share a race from today. Especially proud of myself for judging the lag on the Renault (2nd half of the race). Knowing I probably looked lagged to them. At one point we both almost stop at Casio Triangle.

Is there any place where I can see my best lap on a specific circuit. I.e life-to-date. The jasonguernsey.net site used to do it but seems inaccessible.

The gran-turismo.com site lets you login and see GTS course stats. I can see stuff like how I've raced nurburgring 127 times and best lap times.

Do you guys use medium tyres and pit for the daily race or do you use hard tires and stay out for all 12 laps?

The reason I ask is because I don't think I'm good enough to use the hard tires

Race C Autopolis

6M/6M is the best strategy for Autopolis Race C as far as I've concerned. 12H is only for the brave...

Make sure you have the requires cars before jumping in.

The problem is that it only shows the LAST lap time.
I go to "My Profile" -> "Sporting History" -> "Course Records" and for Mt Panorama Gr3 that I was driving last week, I don't see the fastest time I did but the latest, (slower lap in this case)
I keep a spreadsheet with my best lap times.

Punch your name into the second link I posted above and then scroll down, it will show you every Q time from every daily race you’ve ever done. :)

Yes, but not what I'm looking for. There is no car and it does not show the Group that is raced.
I'm simply looking for a track list, and the best time for each Group with car. I chatted with Jason and he might resurrect his site in April. I think if more people tell @jasguer that you miss his site, he might do it

I tried a bunch of cars at Suzuka, and most can be competitive. Drive what you like! The Aston and Benz both accelerate well, and lap well. MR cars go well there, but are less stable so it's easier to mess up. I need to try the Vette and the Mazda I think. You can keep the 4wd and fwd cars...I don't care how much faster they are.:yuck:

Edit: I do drive the Lambo, but it handles more like a standard MR even though it's 4wd in GR4
I drive the 'Vettes almost exclusively in Gr. 3 and 4. At Suzuka it's very stable, but it understeers and gets eaten up by the FWD and MR cars in the Esses. I had a mega lap in qualifying and got down to a 2:09.9 and surprised myself, but in the races (against drivers ranging from B/S to A+/S), the best I've started is 6th, and my best finish is 7th (same race). The 'Vettes seem to thrive at fast tracks that require high speed stability in corners (even then, there's usually several other cars that are clearly better). Conversely they struggle at tighter tracks - especially ones with slow- to mid-speed corners back-to-back (like chicanes and esses), where that stability becomes understeer as you try to get it to rapidly change directions.

While they're better at the faster stuff, the 'Vettes, to me at least, are middle-of-the-road in everything, which explains why I'm usually the only one in a given race. I feel like it needs a BoP adjustment to bring it in line with other cars and give it a chance to actually be GOOD somewhere.

Im really enjoying Autopolis in the Gr.2 cars.
I havent really had much time this week to play and was up at Apex mountain snowshoeing and drinkin' beers on the weekend.
But i think im figuring out the flow and becoming competitive. Got my Q time down to a low 1'36 and thats putting me against A+,A's and very fast B's. One mistake and your last place.
Had 2 really good races tho against super fast guys and held my own finished 2nd in two. 0.7 seconds behind in one and 4.5 seconds back in the next. Was definately sweating after those.

Anybody else catch the F1 series on Netflix?
Its really got me excited for this season and the girlfriend really enjoyed a little storyline too and was right there watching it with me which was pretty awesome. Now Im SUPER excited for the super formula cars imcoming. As well as any and all Formula and/or super gt tracks they might add.
Gt7 is gonna be INSANE.

Don't know if this is the right place to ask but it seems relevant it's related to a daily race.
How do I upload a replay? Can anyone point me to the right place?

If you have recorded it live on your PS4 then it's just a matter of uploading it to youtube and linking it to here. If it's a replay then just play it and record it at the same time, then upload it. That's how i do it anyway, I don't think there is a direct way of uploading replays from GT to youtube.

Man I'm struggling with Suzuka. It's never been a strong track for me but as much as I try I cannot get below 2:10. It's frustrating because it feels like I'm really pushing, and only achieving a time that leaves me fighting for scraps in the mid-high DR:B lobbies.

I've watched the replay of the top time and I just cannot make the car do what they are doing. If I brake when they do I just veer off the track. Ah well, just venting. I think recent weeks have again inflated my DR beyond where it should be (I nearly got into DR:A again) and now I'm going through a correction which is always difficult to take.

Next week's race isn't much better as Interlagos is another weak track for me, although I've often done well at the Tokyo circuits so we'll see.

Gr4 at Suzuka has not been very good to me. I have been consistently lowering my QT down to 2:11.2... however, GTS has been matching me with players who qualified better (2:08s and up) and I'm usually starting around 10th in the grid. Even with gaining 3-4 positions and having clean races I ended up losing points since I have of the highest DRs in those races... it's a short race and not easy to win starting in the back.

Suzuka is always a demanding one to get right, so many place to lose time on. I managed a 2.09.2 and I reckon I can get in the 2.08's with the perfect lap but it has eluded me so far and doubt i'll manage it. I'm more or less done with it now and focused on next week races. Interlagos isn't one I have done much on so need to get the practice in.

Thanks. I think I got it.....

Anyways, I was hoping I could get some help on improving my time.
FYI, I am DR:D / SR:S. My qualification time was 1'56"4xx. Pole and 2nd were 1~2 seconds quicker.
4th was about 2 seconds slower than me. The result was what I had hoped for, a podium.

In the end, I was behind 1st and 2nd by about 7 secs and in front of 4th by about 7~8 sec.
So it appears the I am losing about 1~2 sec. per lap. Where I am losing the most time?
Any help will be welcome. Thanks in advance.

He's Turismo, he got punted in T1 and got caught in the black hole of mid pack.

Yeah, a similar situation here. I've a 2:10:2 QT and usually start around 9 - 11th place. That's the "problem" with SR S I find, races are (generally) clean but it's very difficult to achieve a podium or high finish. It usually devolves to a battle of fighting tooth and nail for mid-pack finishes. My last race had an alien with a 2:07 so it was unlikely anyone else was going to be winning that race.

So I finally managed a 2:09.9. Eagerly I entered a race to see how this would have helped my starting position. P15  Only for the P16 guy to quit before the race started leaving me stone cold last again :lol::lol:

Anyway actually picked up some positions and managed a nice divebomb avoidance right at the end. It might have been accidental seeing how as he'd just been off track, but this is why I use bumpercam, so I have a rearview mirror!

It’s not often you get to see the satisfaction of a punter being demoted down a whole level from their sportstmanship rating - I just had an encounter with a TT driver at Suzuka, weaving constantly to break the slipstream. I got a good run on him into the final chicane, he covered the inside but braked far too early, giving me a good run around the outside. He was definitely going slow enough to go side-by-side but he chose to sideswipe me into the astroturf, which landed him a 5 second penalty. Luckily I was able to continue and ahead of him, but my poor grip from going off track have him a good run on me into turn 1 where he decided another good hit was in order, I went off and he received a further 2 second penalty.

At the end of the race he went down from an SR S to A, which is great because everyone else has been great to race against so far tonight.

Ridiculous. I won't even try again this week. Punted so far off in T1 I was 12 seconds behind the pack when it finally reset me. Why use brakes when you can use other cars, then burn your piddly 2 second penalty at 90% throttle. Glad you can stroke that DR ego at my expense. Sport mode is a joke lately.

I honestly don't mind the initial attacks from the dive bombers on turn 1 at Fuji, since they're really easy to dodge and re-pass. The only thing driving me insane is how they always try to come back from the outside too early, clipping my exit line. Then they act like I'm the one trying to run them off of the track when they hit me. By turn 3 (Coca Cola corner) they're clearly trying to wipe me out with another dive bomb, thankfully I seem to be braking way later than they do while liberally exploiting the rumble strip's poor track limits.
