Dirty Sunday. The only names I recognize are from those I rather not race with. Last race, punted off at the start in T2 to last, and 3 more times during the race. Only once did the car that crashed me get a too low 2 sec penalty. No apologies after the race, just business as usual. Racing standards are at a low point. So weird, last Sunday at this time they were at their highest. Perhaps that's why PD keeps bringing Suzuka back as anything else people are too scared to race on :confused:

Last session to improve my time at Red Bull Ring. Down to 1:29.341. 2154th in EMEA. Optimal was 1:28.745.

This track is infuriating.

On the plus side, exactly quarter of a second faster than a guy at work.
 
Start a race C. A bit slow off the line. Try to hug the right as much as possible and leave space for those who have a good start. A car comes up to me .... Push me aside ....again ....and again. End up in the grass. Dead last again. Finish in 8th after climbing up the grid ....I think I'm too soft and want to race too clean .....
 
Yesssss ! 111 races later ....102 finished (DC and a few rage quits) I've managed to reach rating A !!! Considering the amount (or lack of....) time I'm able to put in racing and practise i'm quite happy with the result. It was kinda if a personal goal to reach that level. That being said, I don't know how much time it's gonna last .... don't really care for that matter ;) I still know I'm able to get there. :)

Edit : I tried as much as I could but It seems I don't know how to import an image here :banghead: ......anyways ...I'm now at DR 31670 ..... For now :D:lol:

Nice work! We battled at Suzuka a couple times in the formula car. You were smooth I’m like he’s no B. Felt like Luke here...

When I got to b I was like man noway I can hold this these guys are too fast and aggressive...Same thing when I reached A I was like this is impossible...Somehow you get used to it though. I am low A holding decent now...
The game is tough! Competition can be brutal.

Finally a side view of my maple leaf attempt at helmet design.

Races got better later on and I finally managed to get into the 9:12 laps again with some clean track in front of me, although just at the high end of 9:12. It was a challenging combo, I don't think the car and me ever got to be friends. It's probably better with csa, I've never done so much counter steering before in any other car and slipstream just means even worse handling.

Good week, climbed up about 11K DR to 40.7K with this combo while starting from the mid back. I had the luxury of actually starting last once tonight. It was so good. No need to press the gas until the lights are green, cruise through T1 at my leisure and still come out in the top split at the end of lap 1. It didn't last, next race I started 14th of 18 again and had to step on it, avoid the stalled and crashing cars in front and generally hang on for dear life. So many races most of the front ended up behind after the first couple turns.

Autopolis tomorrow :grumpy:
 
Well, after this weekend, I wound up with 19 wins from less than 30 starts in Race C. Normally I only have this kind of success at Blue Moon Bay. I'm kinda surprised I was able to hustle the car around the track as quickly as I did. My final qualifying time was 1:11.2, with my best race lap being a 1:12.2. I only finished worse than I started twice, and I still have yet to finish off the podium with this car, including FIA races. I've always like '80s and older F1 cars, so it's nice to know I apparently click with very well with this car. I wish I could've raced even more, but I was too sick earlier in the week to partake.

You infuriate me to no end. Yet I keep coming back to Daily B like a lost soul. The reward for getting it right is just too appealing.

PS. Having a lot of fun with the NSX. It's hard when most cars are quicker on the straight. Starting at the front becomes an instant defensive battle and stays like that if i cant break the slip stream.

Having some good battles on the US account if i don't bin it.

Also I need work in S2. Can match a 28 flat for S1 and S3 but cant find 0.5 in S2. I know its turn 3 but i just cant get on the throttle quick enough. The weight in the rear also swings if i enter too quickly.

Also, anyone driving an MR car have this happen to them?

Didn't clip the yellow bumps and minimal steering input but suddenly the car spins violently. This instance has happened twice this week to me and i just don't get why?
I've ridden that curb so many times as long as i have a straight shot set up prior i have no issues.

I’ve had cones do this to me before. Even those little green Le Mans cones will spin you just like this. But this video is truly bizarre. Almost like your car bottomed out on a fulcrum like a see-saw.

I've had that happen to me as well, seems like there's a strange bump in the kerb or something that just instantly spins your car around.
Not only have I had it happen to me, I was watching the youtuber Super GT doing qualifying for this race when his Huracan suddenly spun on that corner.

Watching your video at 0.25 speed, it seems like the spin is perfectly timed with your rear wheel touching the edge of those yellow bumps (small enough so that you didn't feel it?), although its hard to tell from this view. So maybe theres something strange about a certain way you hit those that can put you straight into a spin.

I grabbed a bit of grass at the esses and got a 0.5 sec penalty for skidding on the pit entry lines(don't ask :lol:). Fun race! Those MR-2s were pulling me on the straight, but they looked tailhappy in the corners. The NSX looked good. My FD is good. balanced in the corners and braking for T1 was stable. I'll try all the cars this week. Feels good.

Nice to see that Race A is a selection of N300 cars and not a one make. That makes it more interesting. Hopefully there won't be a single Meta car and there is some real variety in the races.

Almost looks like R32 and NSX are the favorites. That's just a couple races though.

Finished where I started. In this race, the NSXs I had in front and behind, looked loose, but fast down the straight. Must be MR grip out of corners.

So strong. It matches the 4C. The Macca has more power for the straight though. I'll give the $C that it can carry more speed mid-corner though. The 86s were quick, but more like in the way. :sly:
That TT really was in the way. That player made it wide in the turns. Had we dispatched that, the leader would not have gotten away.
