I raced against him a few times at Bathurst and it was just unfair.Raced against @putput44 who has a 2:07.4 ???? just insanity lol.
I am doing race C this week, which is focused on fuel saving.
I never use fuel map, I dont like messing with those buttons while driving. But is it better to use it than saving fuel with your own driving?
Ugh, PS+ is needed for online racing? I didn‘t know it was needed.Worked on my time for Race B and went to enter a race... I wasn't paying attention and my PS+ ran out.
Thought there would be a reminder or something. Think I'll wait till the 1st of the month to reactivate. Easier to remember.
No, you're not held to a higher standard when you drop out of SR.S, the problem is the traffic gets (even) more unruly once you drop out of SR.S, thus more bumping from behind, which negates any possible SR gains, and a much higher chance of getting more unfair penalties when that bumper tapper scrapes a wall after bumping you.
You are held to higher standards when there is contact with a lower DR driver, which is more common when your SR drops. If you are DR.B and get hit by a DR.C, chances are you get SR Down even when punted off and end up with a wall penalty.
Try the Evo instead:The Subaru is very fast in the Nurb, but only for qualifying.
I've got a 8:19.165 as a quali lap, which is very fast. However, it has a slight understeer in most corners and is VERY, very fuel hungry. Could barely complete the race on 0 stops and had to turn the fuel to 6 at the end. And I short shifted for the entire race.
Try the Evo instead:
I beat my Q time on lap two![]()

I know, it's bloody ridiculous.
I had a similar start yesterday; P3 to P20 with a 4 second penalty after P2 lost it out of T2.
I see a lot of people push on lap one and then save fuel on lap two. I figure It's faster to do the opposite when you're behind a big group. Overtaking fuel savers is like stealing candy from kids. You were uber patient, made very few mistakes, knew a few folks would falloff the road and didn't go for a silly pass despite your pace.
I know, it's bloody ridiculous.
You know what would sort out the whole penalty situation? DAMAGE! In games like Grid Motorsport, you want to avoid contact because every time you get a bump you risk damaging your car, which often slows you down, spoiling your aerodynamics or worse.
Introduce damage and the idiots will soon learn. Plus, it'd be more lifelike.
Why? Do you see that in British Touring Cars? The game is meant to be a driving simulator, so let's make it lifelike. There's nothing to stop PD from applying certain penalties in addition to damage. In fact, brake-checking should be one of the easier scenarios to code. But with damage people would just brake check you a lot more, rear damage to them will hardly hurt their car while they take out your front end and leave you in the dust.

Damage makes perfect sense. In the real world, racing is a percentage game. Someone who can't control their car will get trashed all the time and dive in the DR. If GTS is a sim, rather than an arcade game, then simulate real life. I think it's a no-brainer.you're telling me he'd feel much better if on top of the 7 second of undeserved penalties he also took a race crippling amount of damage??? how would that fix anything?
The damage argument makes no sense. People don't crash into you because they want to, they do it because they can't control their car. A stronger deterrent doesn't give someone more car control. The video in question is perfect, that SLS lit up the rears by accident not out of malice, the rest was just unavoidable.

I typically stay out of dailies, but the Nurburgring race is a good one. Ran the BMW, Aston, and Toyota Supra Gr.3 cars which all seem to make the same lap times. World record is some insane 8:04.7 I saw but no idea what car it’s in. Happy with my time though after running a handful of laps with this one.
