A second go and I manage to go to SR B. Everyone around me got blue SR. I got put into the sand at turn one and into the wall on the back section, neither of these incidents got penalties. I see why people rage at the penalty system.
Did 2 races B yesterday.....both were pretty clean, even enjoyable !

Tried one today.... Got spun in turn 1 ....from 8th to 15th. And pushed wide on the last lap in the last turn to lose 2 positions that I had regained. And the system sees absolutely no problems with either incidents.

Welcome to daily racing.....:irked: :boggled:

@O604 If it is, in fact the Karts, it will be the helmet and suit liveries that you'll need to work on. :)
Right. Hmmmmmm.. so many options. :dopey:

Every race, a new enemy. Some people simply can't handle being passed, especially not at this slow speed, must push them off. I blame all this time to qualify. My qualifying time reflects my race pace, yet the later in the week, the more people qualify in front of me that drive 8 or more seconds slower in race. I qualified with a 9:08 flat and can match that in race (if not punted off), can get down to a high 9:06 when drafting another player. Yet then I start 6th to 8th and 4 people in front of me can't even make a 9:14 lap.

Anyway there are also great drivers around like @BenRod. Good race, wasn't anywhere near my best, that student driver got me frazzled and I got sloppy. I almost messed it up at the end, fun race despite the two trouble makers with us.

Here’s my first ever race at Sardegna C, and first ever race in the McClaren F1. I’m not particularly good with most MR cars, and haven’t been pleased with my qualifying...but this sure was a fun race and beautiful fight for top 5. T1 on this rack really is a great place to hang it round the outside. Enjoy!

Went back to Sardegna quali in the maclaren and that last bend is killing me so many times I have the splits closing in on the top 10 and lose it all by underbraking

Here's my best lap and I'm officially throwing the towel in with that one haha... those 51.8's are insane btw

Have fun racing guys

I raced some Bs today and two episodes to report:

- I was DR A and SP S, starting from pole. I noticed that the guy behind was a little too agressive, but I didn't mind, just took care of my race and line. End of the first lap, the last corner, he jumps out of nowhere, hits me in the side, so I almost spun. I regained control and started to accelerate towards the straight... and then he starts to push me to the side and drives me into the pits!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬:banghead::banghead::banghead::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:.

The name was felippi2525, he eventually lost the race, but be aware off him. I'm so sorry about what you guys from my region have to endure from my compatriots.

- On another try, I was starting from pole again and made a mess of it on the first corner and sure enough, dropped to third. We spent the whole race as a threesome changing positions and although I can say we were a bit ruthless, none of us can say that the others were dirty or unfair. Was a great race, 0.3 secs between us on the checkered flag. Sadly, I got only the third place :dunce::dunce::dunce:.

That's happened to me 3 times. I have all three of their names written down.

I could have reacted earlier to avoid that but I guess I couldn't accept that he was actually trying to force me into the pits.

Man, I'm not a alien and could be defined as an average at best, but seeing your lap my suggestion would be to ease off the throttle a bit earlier so that you can take the corner on a more open trajectory (usually I lift a bit before hitting the curb). That's how I've been doing it and my best time is a 52.793 with the 911.

I don't know how you guys are dealing with sardegna this week. Took almost 2 weeks off, but still over it. B/S seems to be a nasty little area. Started the night there trying race A, 99 SR ranking. First race had one guy continue to use me as a bumper in the chicanes and bumping me into any major corner. Always got position from me but always ended up back behind due to penalties. 3 laps of his **** and I drop 8 SR points. Then have a good clean race, little bumping, but mainly lag and minor driver errors, some mine, some others, but balances out, no drop or gain. Next race had a couple minor bumps as we were sorting out on the first few corners in a giant wad, then it settled down to clean racing. Until the last lap, turn 1 guy doesn't brake at all, bombs me from 0.8 sec back. yeah, right. he ghosts, but I'm guessing it registered somewhere? spooked after that I have a rabbit doing the last to first challenge, he closes fast, but last chicane he pretty much doesn't even try? goes straight through like he ws going to use me to stop? He ghosted, no hit I felt or saw, and I get 2 seconds!!! He finishes behind me because he reset but gets the position due to my penalty. Luckily only that one spot, although it ended up down 9SR. But seriously? I saved the replay and will edit it down but I'm sort of over that mess. Will try to post it later, see if I am crazy or what. Where the hell is the racing? I have good ones but this night was ugly, and Willow Springs doesn't inspire confidence in me. Although . . . I thought Brands Hatch and Willow were fighting for most hateful track and I cleaned up at Brands due to simply not crashing.

Edit: video might be a while, having to learn share factory to do it, and after reviewing replay, wasn't last to first guy, but still no idea what the hell they were doing on last chicane

Dare I ask if anyone has tried any of the FF rides around the Willow...

Without wanting to put too much of a downer on it. I think they are going to be quick again if you can deal with the understeer through turns 3-6.

They won't be much cop if you take any dust filled excursions. But rapid on the black stuff.

I have, the TT is quick around there. :)

"Student Driver" was just too unpredictable... reasonably fast, but very erratic when correcting mistakes and apparently thinks that going side-by-side is some kind of personal insult ( i.e. the "You stole my line!" mentality).

I consider Nordschleife one of my specialties. Between GT4, 5, 6, and Sport, I estimate I've done 10,000 laps. (Think about that for a second!) Always been like this, but it is painfully obvious this week that many simply DO NOT KNOW how to RACE the Nord. They might know the course and are able to drive it and even qualify spectacularly, but have absolutely no idea what to do when they ruin their "hot lap" in competition. Two players have complained this week to me about why I brake at a certain point, annoyed that they ran off trying to avoid me. The response is, "Do you see how I gain 1.5 seconds on you 2 turns later?" There is so much more to it than going gung-ho that 75% of racers don't realize. Know when to back off. Know when to stick it in there. Know when to defend. Know when to let a pass. Know HOW TO LEAVE ROOM! Know how to go two-wide. Most importantly...

...Know what you are going to do no matter what happens, BEFORE it happens.

Didn't have as much time this morning as I expected, but I managed to get my Nordschleife time down to 9:08.483. Slowly getting the hang of the track.

Did two C races on my second account. The qually time on this account is 9:10.9xx. So closer to my expected race pace.

Race 1: started 3rd. Ended up 5th. Mostly because I fluffed the start - I lost two places there. Got punted off once, but he got a 2 second penalty. Me: SR blue. No pens.
Race 2: started 7th. Ended up 7th. Down to 8th at the start. Up to 5th and heading down to Aremberg on lap 2 when my TV gives me the 1 minute warning to switch itself off! Manage to find the remote, but still go off track. Down to 10th! Plug away and overtake a couple of cars, get the benefit of someone else serving a penalty and I end up 7th at the finish. ME: SR blue and no pens!

Both races gained me about 900 DR.

Enjoyed both races.

Settling in for the German GP. It's raining there! Bonus! :)

Totally agree and it's always the same places where I gain on people. Plus it seems I'm still one of the few that takes the karroussel straight on (slot in the banked section straight on) instead of coming in from high and always gain time there. They see me do it, don't bother to copy it next race and rather upset and slide the car in there losing time.

First race this morning was great, started 5th, finished 2nd. All clean racers. Side by side through most of the middle straight without a problem and a few other corners. So much nicer with people that also want to race contact free and know how to hold a line.

I love the Nord, just checking I now have 1711 laps logged in sport mode alone on the Nord (+N24) while it was pretty much the only track I drove online for over a year in GT5. Best enjoyed in an oldie GR.1 car :)

Good start today, victory on my second attempt.

Unfortunately no clean bonus. One of the better qualifiers in front of me unexpectedly started braking too early for the corner onto the middle straight. I couldn't avoid a slight tap for a deserved SR Down. He went a little bit on the kerb, nothing serious, waited for him to let him go ahead yet he pulled over to let me go ahead lol. Someone else too the lead in the confusion but he was easily passed later.

There, a better one :)

18:21 finish time, driving like clockwork now. I should update my qualifying time but racing is more fun!

Collect the full set, triple star. I'm on a roll this morning :)

Best part, an old known trouble maker was the only one with a red rating after the race, red A. Sometimes the penalty system works!

What's going on, all chips are falling in my favor today.

This bizarre sequence of events helped, I guess a brake check or a knee jerk correction caused it. A little bump from behind sealed the deal. On the straight they all slowed each other down for a win with 6 sec lead.

I'm going to quit while I'm ahead, sun is out, time to get in the pool before the supposed thunder storms roll in. Best morning racing in a long time!

Getting very sick of the penalty system and the heatwave. Despite a fan system and all that to try to keep it cool, I can only last 2-3 Race B before the HDMI port at the back of the poorly designed PS4 gets too hot and cuts the connection.
I always manage one clean race to SR 99 and a huge DR bump, that is consequently ruined in the second race I do where I'll be hit by someone else and receive a penalty for the privilege (modest SR down cos otherwise clean, huge DR drop) - the latest one was the Italian in front of me essentially crawling through the narrow section on the second half of Sardegna-C, so my options would've been to slow up behind and let everyone behind pass me, or pass the guy safely and cleanly in the large room available. I opted to pass, the Italian changed line and pushed me off to the left, I'm straddling the rumble strip and have just picked up a 3s penalty for getting hit, then another car behind slams into me (I couldn't have gone anywhere else to avoid it) and I picked up a further 2s for that.
It's frustrating because otherwise this week's Race B is one the best race combos for me - I've had tons and tons of clean races, and gained masses of DR. Just a shame the few keep ruining it by being unaware of who is around them or what's going on, unable to brake in a timely manner, or unable to pass without also pushing.
Third race wasn't redemptive either. Started in 8th, had gained to 6th, guy was off the line in the very inside of the corner coming out of the penalty zone and still ghosted. He comes out of ghost as I'm alongside on the outside exiting the corner, and he immediately moves sideways and pushes me into the wall. No penalty for him, I fall down to 11th and manage to just hold off 12th going into the last corner. I eventually work my way back up to 8th. Farce.
And that's me done for the day because HDMI died on returning to the Sport Mode menu.
Maybe I'll be able to return to it in a few hours, who knows.
I keep getting to around 19900 DR and then I get showered with penalties and pushed off the track. It's like the game is unilaterally opposed to me getting above 20000.

It´s not often I run into really dirty drivers in the SR S Toplobbys, but sometimes there are guys which are after you and want to destroy your race. :ouch:
This is one of them at the recent Weekly Race C on the Nordschleife. I don´t know why he was so frustrated, maybe because he got a penalty for forcing me of track or he doesn't like germans (because of his rough move against SZ_Lukas97 before).
One of the dirtiest 🤬 i´ve met for a long time.

"When ya' got it, ya' got it!"

Anybody who knows me knows I rarely venture outside of Daily A, but I find combos like this irresistable. Before this week, I might've had 200 laps on Nord total gameplay, including the last Daily C one-make in the Cayman which I got 12 (?) wins. This week I have 3 wins - 2 Monday and 1 Tuesday.

I pretty much abandoned the A race after Tuesday. Go from A/S to A/B red in 3 races, hop the fence, drive 2 clean races winning or podium on Nord, back up to S. And most of my Daily A friends seem to be doing the same. MKRange races with me pretty much everyday - extremely clean and well-mannered (most of the time :-) )

Noontime! Fire up the game. Break out the Tequila. Venture into Grren Hell.

You're a psycho.

Obsession sometimes can be considered psychotic behaviour.

I had a notepad where I wrote down all the times from testing 500+ road cars in GT5, stock settings, sports tire choice appropriate to each individual car, averaging 5 laps per car, noting mistakes/possible time lost and any quirks.

If I can find it I might post some pics. I think my son took it to color in...

Gotta go but Lambo seems to be the fastest for me with a 1:18.0
You're gonna do well at that race. Obviously you've got a really good handle on the track. 1:18 is pretty damn good for the Huracan. That sucker really slides around a lot.

It wasn't really sliding much at all, BB was +2 and TC 0, using the DS4 too, opt was a 17.8 but kept messing up the horseshoe bit
