Big factor. Yes. And, since you have to be fully on the throttle through many of those curves, that's why I think front-wheel drive cars would be awful for this track.

I usually do well here with TT Cup. It used to be the goto car. Then again that was like 5 updates ago. Hell we haven’t had this combo (as far as the last time I played it) since 3/28/18.

appreciate the advice but it doesnt matter. racing in this game is a complete joke. Done with Sport Mode. completely pointless waste of my time. nothing learned, nothing gained just bull ****.

did one more race after my last post and this is what sealed the deal. get through lap 1 but it doesnt matter.

No penalty RIP

this represents most of my experience in sport and that pass for the win video the other day is the 1% and its just not worth dealing with this trash for the 1% that is really enjoyable.

You were defending the inside line.....and you made that clear early. Other driver comes in to the corner like you are not there. I think he should have taken T1 in a way to get a run at you coming out of it.

Just got a very bizarre penalty in Race B. A Ford GT behind me taps me halfway round the final corner, stays behind me, but somehow has more speed exiting the corner, and taps me again. I'm quite far on the outside, but he's further outside, so I move across to the left fairly sharply to allow him space since he's otherwise headed to the pitlane. I have moved to allow at least 2 car-widths with plenty of time for him to move left into it, yet he still sails into the pits and boom I have a 3s penalty.
At what point does the game think I pushed/forced him in? I'm very confused. Anyway that's a loss of 700 DR, only 3 SR (otherwise perfect race) and the loss of my consecutive clean race streak which had been nothing short of a miracle on solely Race Bs...

Private lobbies seem to be the only way to go when you need some trust in your opponents.. I've raced 10 sports mode races online since GTSport came out and not 1 of those races did the other drivers try to avoid taking me out on turn 1 👎 Don't get me wrong!! I love racing online and would like to see similar to the old GT5 lobby days where we could have wheel to wheel action and still play respectfully.. That doesn't really exist in sports mode! private races with people you trust imo is the only way to enjoy racing GTSport online to it's full potential.. sports mode is a crap shoot turn 1 get round it as fast as you can and put the hammer down and don't let them near you or its curtains at the next braking point

I avoid online racing full stop even though I would be quite an opponent to race against.. there's just no manners in random lobbies 👍

I think it was that last tap then he went into the pits. I don’t know if it was done intentionally. Just one of those glitches when you tap someone then the wall.

I wanted to do a couple races in the morning, now I'm considering uninstalling GTS.... (I won't, @Mistah_MCA still has good races coming up :)) Matchmaking thought it funny to match me on pole with a D/B driver in second (I'm DR.A with max SR) so this happened.

No penalty for him, almost 5 sec behind after getting back up to speed.

I catch up in lap 2, so he brake checks me...

I touch the wall (cause you have to trigger penalties yourself, game won't do it) but it doesn't matter. The 'swift' can't get back up to speed on the hill and by the end I'm over 10 sec behind, enough to absorb the 4 sec penalty. He wins, gets upgraded to SR.C....

I really don't feel like playing anymore. I started another race anyway, better line up, all SR.S, race starts, disconnected :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: My internet is perfectly fine (my kids playing another online game next to me no issues). PD you suck. 1.5 years later, still random disconnects and a penalty system that's a complete joke.

It's the in-game music that has you connecting with all those monsters. :( but seriously, how do you keep on getting matched with them???

Private lobbies definitely make for some clean and close racing, much better than Sport Mode on average. It just sucks that you can’t wager DR/SR in them. I know it’s because people would scam the system, but they do it in sport mode anyways so I mean, why not include it in lobbies too? Or at least the option to turn it on in lobbies if wanted. I really want my A+ eventually, but it’s looking like I’ll have to do it in the FIA races and not Sport Mode which sucks because they don’t really fit my schedule that well.

I gotta admit though, I did 5 races last night(4 B’s and 2 A’s) and the racing was pretty good. I only got bumped off once and that guy apologized afterwards so it was all good. :)

You could get there by the end of next week if you do a ton of Willow races. You're really good there.

In 103 lifetime races there, I've got 89 top 5s. I won't say how many wins and poles, but it's a lot. It's because I just don't go off the track. So many people have trouble with that. You know how to handle it. I do well there, but you've beat me plenty of times on that track.

I have no doubt that you could definitely get damn close to 50,000, if you focus on the desert for a week. Just do lots of races. 👍

Thanks for the kind words man, that’s actually not a bad idea. Just farm Willow next week, I do love that track! The Mustang races there were some of the best/most enjoyable SM races I’ve ever done, man that was a fun week. I came close on my original account, I think I got up as high as 47,500 before a couple of bad races ended in a reset. I’ve never bothered to put the time in since to try to get that high because a reset can take it all away again within a race or two. Maybe it’s time to try again, thanks for the encouragement man!!

Cmon bro, you gotta come up here and join the A+ club!

I could spend a week being Cal Naughton Jr. 👍

I've already done over 300 miles on that track today, and I haven't quite finished my project, yet.
I've got me an A+ plan, too. I'll watch your back, and we'll both podium over and over again.

Caution: One guy that I remember being really good there is @suprajef. We'll just have to hope that character doesn't show up. :p

Update: For what it's worth, these are the results I got from the Gr.4 testing at Big Willow.
Methodology: AWD cars were tested with TCS 0, and all RWD cars were tested with TCS 1. All were driven with A/T. These results were not meant to represent the fastest laps per car, but rather the times achieved relative to each other, when using race settings. So, it's just about comparing them to each other, on the same track. Hopefully it's helpful to someone. :)

*Individual results may vary.

When I get serious about qualifying, I'll turn off the TCS and switch to M/T. Still don't know which one to use.

No need to worry about me showing up, I am in Africa for the next 6 months so I will be rusty when I get back

Shake’n’Bake Good Buddy!! I’m in, We’ll get there one way or another!! :D

another turn 1 divebomb takes out 2 cars and doesn't get a penalty. how sad is it that i cant even get through turn 1 in all but 1 out of my 15 race b's this week.

Had that happen to me all week. And it's annoying that I lose DR because on that track, it's very tough to recover.

I lost over 5,000 Dr this week in Race B and what's scary is, I won there this week!

Enjoying Races A and C, though largely ignored B as I'm not a fan of Sardegna. Finally managed two podiums, having struggled to get used to the lack of power from the Suzuki, especially in 3rd and 4th while heading up hill. You really do have to wring its neck and judge gear shifts based on the engine note, not the shift lights, or else you'll end up moving nowhere fast. It was also quite a challenge adapting from my usual race and shift pattern from more powerful Gr.4 and Gr. 3 cars, ironing out a lot of phantom cornering and braking, where the Suzuki can go flat out instead. But it was hugely satisfying to cross the line on 3rd from a null qualifying time, and later 2nd from a 9:18 qualifying time.

The Nurburgring GP circuit also feels like home, however the first corner is always a sore spot given GTSport's issues with sportsmanship. I can not think of any reason why you would drive on the right side of the track into the hairpin, unless you wanted to ram someone off the track, or crash into the wall on the other side of the turn. I've seen this in just about every Race A I've entered this week, and been rammed more than once. Thankfully I managed to cut one such driver off, and they sailed right past my rear bumper into someone else, taking me from about 6th to 4th, and onto a 3rd place podium without any contact. That Scirocco is a real weapon too - hit 2nd gear and it's as if someone has ignited a rocket behind you, hurling you forward on a rapid wave of turbo boost and noise, sounding like a swarm of bees under attack from an angry bear.

Good question. I foolishly tried another race tonight. That above there was clean compared to this race. I got bumped off by at least 3 different Americans. One of course didn't get a penalty for putting me in the sand and finished 2nd. Another did so he started punting me. I got down to 6th but still managed to finish 3rd as the punting and bumping was not only directed at me. My best lap in that race was down to 9:17... The one that kept harassing me racked up 11.5 sec penalties, then quit at the penalty zone, coward. Reported >/dev/null, won't do anything.

What in game music? I mostly play without sound lol.

Friday is supposed to be the cleanest day of the week yet the couple races I did today were the dirtiest so far. It must be the effect of the 'new' penalty system. The same happened at Kyoto+Miyabi, too much SR to spend, too wide of a track to trigger penalties, races kept getting more dirty. The Nord is narrow enough for penalties to trigger yet for some reason, most of the time they don't anymore. A popular place to get run off is 4 corners before the straight (the one leading to the small 'karoussel'. Apparently when you put your nose on the inside of someones rear bumper and force the other car onto the sand, no penalty is triggered and the other car loses too much time to catch up on the straight. That has happened to me several times now, all looking very deliberate.

Here's a clip of that race. The result is even worse when the penalty system does work...

Watch out for the one in 2nd as well.

Let's see what's new on Netflix.

Hey sven i'm that guy in second.

I think you got your foil hat on too tight.

You tried going side by side where you shouldn't have. i had two tires off in the grass tying to give you room. Not my fault you bounced off track.

The second time you messed up and opened the door for me. I took advantage and again i went out of my way trying not to hit you .

It's not my fault you went off again. It was not intentional.

So don't be coming on here putting me on blast like i'm dirty.

you say that was not intentional lolllllllll you really try to overtake someone from .600 behind hit him like a missile and say that was not international and when you was side by side we clearly see You pushed im off track ? I dont call that dirty racing but literary acting stupid like a sore looser . The Best tings to do if you dont like to be shared in a video acting stupid is not acting stupid lolllllll

Before all the pitchforks get sharpened up... I could be wrong but I think the "guy is 2nd" is not the same guy as the one shown going for the kill in the clip.
