Thanks guys!

I went and followed it up with a P4 > P2

Aaaaaand apparently now we're back up to DR/C again...

So turns out the two tracks I hate and am historically rubbish at - Brands Hatch and Big Willow - are now where I'm currently best at... Pick that one apart.
I also used to hate Brands Hatch before I got this game, now it's probably one of my faves, I don't find Willow too bad either now lol

So tonight has not gone as planned. All in i've lost about 2k DR. My Q time is down to 01:17.013 (happy with that) which has been getting me no better than 10th on the grid in the lobbies i've been in. From 5th-12th on the grid is often covered covered by <.200s so it's close racing in terms of overall pace.

In 1 of the 6 races I went so wide on the last corner I might have to login to Tripadvisor and leave a review of the little off road section at the rear quarter of the pit building. 4* review from me, i'd have given it 5* if it didn't give me a 10s penalty for the privilege .

In 3 of the races I was nudged into the dirt and in the other 2 is was wiped out by cars ahead that went off track at the horseshoe and spun back onto the racing line.

Maybe next week for the A+ attempt lol. (I'll try again tomorrow).

Thanks, Good Luck to you too!! I think I need just over 8k to reach it, I think @Oshawa-Joe is gonna make a run at it this week too, and @sturk0167 , Good Luck this week everyone!! Let’s do this!!

I’ll be using my CnF_Pigems account this week. :)

I might try to go hog wild :p & pick up some points on Willow. I like that track, but just when you think you've mastered it, you let your guard down & it slaps you off the track.

Win count doesn't mean much of anything since any chance of winning heavily depends on matchmaking. SR, time of day, day of the week, general interest in a track, other events at the time, all play a far bigger role than actually being good.

Not sure how to link my stuff to show, but i am pretty proud of my stats, which are 100% legit and untainted. I think wins are actually pretty hard to get, and i guess that means i suck cuse i am on the muricas server...

I’m 2 for 2 with the TT Cup so far on B, she works real nice on Big Willow. The 86’s can’t pass me on the back straight once they get out of my draft to go around.

I wonder if my Viper could?

Great job. Congratulations.

Now for the bad news.
the TT is king so far for racing, the other cars car barely keep up along the back straight without my draft, and once they pull out they can’t pass.
At some point this week, you're gonna find out that this bad boy will catch and pass a TT.

Do it up!! It’s a super fun track to race on. 👍

The Lamborcuzi sucks, needs to be pushed way to hard to make time, the Audi doesn’t even seem like it’s being pushed that hard to keep up. :)

Edit: Apparently I just suck with it then!

Congrats on the Dub @sturk0167

Had a tough time today getting into racing Gr.1 with a wheel, at first I couldn't handle the acceleration at the exits at all that the hybrid systems gives you. I often went wide.

After getting the hang of it a bit, managed to do a 1:37.6 and decided to do my first race. P3 on the grid, pretty much only R18s in the Top 10 which is a bit sad. I wasn't very fast at all in race pace, when the tyres were worn I made many small mistakes. Luckily others struggled with consistency aswell and I managed to pull out a win. Did 6 laps, then pitted to get softs again. Still don't feel very comfortable around the track though, Gr.1 cars are just a bit too quick for me at this point after solely racing Gr.3 and Gr.4 for like forever.

I can relate to that. For me it's a combo of outright speed and sensitivity. I'm now finely honed to the behavior of Gr.3 and 4, I kinda know instinctively now how they will drive and I can react to that.

Anything faster or anything requiring greater finesse or better reflexes is just a no-no. I can't even be consistent with that Kart. It's far to twitchy.

It takes a lot of practice, honestly took like 2 hours today just setting qualifying times and still I feel too slow and especially lacking consistency.

It's fun, but I will be very happy when I'm back in my comfort zone with Gr.3.

Man.... It takes me 15 to 20 minutes to just get into the "dailys" groove - and only for "that" car on "that" track. Sure, I can take a few days off in between, try a few different cars, and be within a few tenths almost straight away but to be on it every day requires constant practice. I have no time for that.

And I've "practiced" for years..... The top 10 globally is tough...... everyone feels slow unless they're #1 and whos not trying to see how close they can get?.

I am pretty good again with the kart it seems. Done a 55.747 with a controller. Sadly only 2 poles and 2 wins but hey still a full week to go to get that remaining poles (63/65) and wins (84/91) for the trophies ;)

I was a little nervous when this Lobby popped up next, it’s been a while since I’ve been in a stacked lobby like that.

But I took off and never looked back, the TT is king so far for racing, the other cars can barely keep up along the back straight without my draft, and once they pull out they can’t pass. Not that anyone got close enough to try to make a pass in this one, I was 2.5 clear by the time I crossed the line. :)

Got a cool 1k DR Bucks for that Win, up to 44,737 now. :D
1v1 me, my Dinka Jester Honda NSX will kick your booty jk haha :P
What time do you normally race? I'm usually racing in the night and never see you all. :(

That’s a great idea, Let’s do it!! 1v1 standing start, 1 lap, alternating pole, best 4/7 Wins. That could be a LOT of fun! :)

I run on Atlantic time here so I’m usually on anywhere from 4pm to 10pm EST(5-11pm my time) and then all weekend.

We should set it up for the weekend and do it live!

Just check to see whether you can adjust that in Car Settings pre-race. I haven't driven the FF cars in a while, but I remember a couple of weeks back when they were the supplied gr4s that you couldn't change it. That meant that even though it looked like you could on the dials in the HUD when in race mode, it didn't actually do anything.

But placebo counts for a lot so don't let me ruin it for you ;)

I was able to change it on the hub (grp 4 this past week) on my G29. But you couldn't change it in the car settings screen
