Race B was ok, F1 is probably not the best choice of car though. :)

Didn't understand the ridiculous BoP on the Miat in qualifying, feels like you can use the throttle as a lightswitch and never lose grip anywhere, but once I got into the race and saw people going 2 by 2 through the esses and a pack of 14 cars going down the back straight towards 130R I understood. It's not meant to be a fast lapper, but a good racecar. On the default BoP with these tires half the grid would've been off the circuit on lap 1, and this is in A/S where people should have some idea what they're doing.

Also, is it my imagination or have they relaxed the track limits on the exit of second Degner? I went 4 wheels outside the stripe onto the astroturf several times without a penalty.

Rear engine, laggy turbo, if you ask me that's a recipe for clinging on for dear life and hoping for the best.

Getting precision out of such a car is no trivial matter. Many aborted laps for us this week.
It's like if the 930 is actively trying to kill you. :(
Same. That car has a mind of its own.

Nice upgrade in the Miata though! I’m currently chasing you around Suzuka again.
Nicely done on the 31.1! Super hard to find those tenths at this point lol.

Just yeet it over the last chicane and hope for the best

race B could REALLY use an extra lap , race lasts about 6.25 min that is way too short , and the waiting gets longer between races
I pretty much ditched race A and B for this reason. My main problem is the wait between races, I just want to race I don't want to stare at a countdown for 10 minutes while I wait. Like Sturk said in another post, at least the gap between these races should be shorter.
By the way, race C this week is kinda cool even if it takes place in Suzuka. Gonna have to swallow my pride and stop my boycott just for this week. Just don't tell Kaz :p.

I tried to do a quick race B before going back to A but 1 second too late thanks to the daily workout bonus car :banghead: Let me turn that crap off, stop polluting my garage with duplicates!!!

Oh well, it's only 10 minutes to wait. Great day today, I went for a ride to Port Dover, 110 km round trip. Nice refreshing swim in Lake Erie with a cold drink after. It's the long August weekend so it pretty much looked like this today:

Except the water is much higher this year so the beach is only half the size

I took the kids there last week (by car of course, still a 50 minute drive) when it was not so busy. The space we build a sand castle in last week was now occupied by at least 20 people lol. There was also a vintage car show being set up. On my way back they were all lined up at the park at the start of the trail. Nice shiny old cars, ready to race :mischievous: Better than going on Friday the 13th when up to 100k motorcycles gather in Port Dover. That was loud! I'll stick to cycling on nice quiet trails with occasional deer and small critters.

Enough about crazy Canadian holidays, race is about to load.

Race went fine, 5th place finish from 10th with crb. I'm not lifting anymore in the tunnel, but still 1:56 laps. The race must not be very popular as it's A/S to D/S in a 12 player race at prime time. Or maybe most have already lost SR.S status lol. Plenty red ratings each race.

Show off :) I got the Porsche down to 1:55.7 finally under 1:56 when I had clear road for a lap. What's up with all the Brazillians in race A? Half the grid was Brazil, yet it were the Americans that couldn't behave. Full speed into the wall, no penalty, bump me over the chicane I get SR Down, they leave with blue S... Neutral rating for me from getting bumped around. Backwards as always.

I really wish there was another lap or two. There's always dishes to do, still more fun than qualifying :yuck:

Thanks for the vid @Pigems, I've been doing the first section in 2nd gear, no wonder I lose time. Chicane in 3rd as well, jumping the kerbs, will try that.

Well that increased my best lap to 2 minutes  I got rammed every lap, does not count. 9pm still dirty hour. I got away with a neutral rating again in between all reds.

Second attempt, 1:58 best lap and a 5 sec penalty for getting rammed from behind into the wall by a C/S driver. -5 SR for the race. No decent lap again, too dirty.

Could be worse... old Fiat 500 on N24...

That would be cleaner at least! I got punted again by a quitter after he got 15 sec in penalties. But down to 1:56.1 while staying in 3rd, not easy with all these drifters around. I was the only one without a red dot and blue S from 4th and lower (I finished 6th, that punt hurt) +1 SR ugh.

Since my throttle control sucks on DS4 I'm now trying to adjust speed with a bit of braking instead of less gas. That seems to upset the car a lot less than accidentally lifting of the gas. Stupid R2 triggers suck, 100% gas and braking, why not.

Oh yeah, progress! Third place finish with fastest lap of 1:54.725. I didn't get any penalties but lost 6 SR from getting bumped around. There was only one blue rating in that race, a 1 bar Brazillian, lag protection. And only 2 others without a red dot. I'm calling it a night as well, it's chaos in Tokyo. Now down to 89 SR, I can see where that's going if I keep racing from the back. Tomorrow morning will hopefully be better.

Back from three days is the woods by the lake.... omg race a is evil lol. Haven't tried the other two yet but i think i will at least be running laps on all three of these races this week. Not sure about actual racing though. I only read the few posts above me on this page, and as i suspected no one can control the porsche in race so i doubt I'll be touching that one. Hope everyone had a good weekend :gtpflag:

Well, race A love car hate track, yes I tried a couple laps. ITS LIKE PD IS LAUGHING AT ME while I attempt to drive it in the 911.
They are like haha look how we make him upset the balance by being an inch off line. Haha funny guys.
“LOOK WE GIVE HIM FIVE SECONDS AFTER WE MAKE HIM HIT WALL”.
Haha haha, I respect the challenge presented but decline to invest effort.
Race b, Yamagiwa is a fun track to race on, but for some reason I’m not into it, I dunno.
Race c my brakes are clearly dragging. Pd designed the ultimate momentum car, and I’ve no idea why I’m so far off pace after hitting a few decent laps. That said, momentum car lots of tire wear...It will be the race I enter if I go in country.
That car looks to reward a “writing in cursive” driving style with pretty spot on technique to get anything out of it.
Did I mention I write all caps? Lol
I wish all of you the best this week, but right now it’s looking too difficult for me.

Stay thirsty, my friends

Have any of you guys using T300 wheels attempted to adjust the steering ratio on the Porsche? I found 3 Blinks to be the best for, it think it was 5 stock. Same for the go kart last week was easier to drive when adjusted.

For those that don’t know what I mean, on the T300 wheel in GTS if you hold the “Mode” button and then press Left or Right on the Dpad at the same time it changes the steering ratio for the car your currently using(the red light will blink 1 to 5 time to tell you what setting it is on). I just found out about this but it does help I’m some cars, try it out if you haven’t before. Each car resets every new session so if you find a setting you like you have to set it every time you use the car. :)

Holy hell what a 🤬 show Race A is.

Car just randomly decides to snap in to a wall.. 5 sec penalty.
Tell me about it, I got all crossed up exiting the chicane on my last lap and picked up 7 secs of penalties. Ah well, at least I didn't have to take a much heftier on-track penalty.
