Online lobbies were a little strange, the technical gremlins I've been facing had finally been resolved mysteriously. Went for a few rooms in hope to join a friendly race, but got kicked out for no reason...it's pretty hilarious of these people. But yeah, it serves to me a hint that they're not welcome in my rooms in the future!

Moving on to daily races... Finally did some Autopolis runs, not very good since my laptimes were a huge struggle especially dealing with the last sector. Could qualify on 1:57s but not any faster...

Race 1 Grid P15 (DNQ), Race P11. It was a lucky race considering that the field was much closely packed and lots of scratching. Though there were quite a number of cars spinning out and I ran as high as P7 before falling back down the order with my struggles to the flag. Sadly I had to endure another DR and SR drop due to the excessive punting from other drivers.

Race 2 Grid P10, Race P10. Pretty decent stuff, got overtaken by several cars around the track and not being able to find the optimum trajectory to overcome the closing gap behind. The last corner on the final lap saw another player nearly spinning around the radius, managed to catch up but was closed upon and had to take the grass. A little disappointing result considering that I could've done better but the track just wasn't to my liking.

2nd consecutive day to have a sharp DR decline and slight SR drop. What's worse is that I'm currently at risk getting demoted to DR C. Perhaps I'll need to explore other ways to salvage the risk of dropping out another precious tier and keeping my SR up before calling it quits.

I just rose from DR D to C because of Autopolis. From 4000 to 8000 DR in 3 Days. I have studiet a few lapguides and are qualifying at 1:55:125, and the last section after the hairpin is where I am strongest. Just keep looking at those videos.

That sounds great! Thanks for the tips, I'll start looking out at those video guides around Autopolis. My first two sectors were strong and hairpins are pretty much okay, it's the last sector where you had the low speed chicane and final radius turn that hurts the laptime most.

Most likely I'll do laptime trials on Autopolis and races in Catalunya since I have stronger performance in the latter during the previous similar event.

Race C... down to a 47.2, but I know I'm terrible going into the last chicane and a few other areas, practice makes perfect right?!?!??! :scared:

Anyway had a race where SR came back to 99 from 97 and DR up to 18k, unfortunately still being pushed off when alongside people, I have a feeling they're not using radar at all...

I feel the game interface is partly to blaim, since it's not possible to have the radar up while managing fuel mapping (which for race C is quite useful).

A fully customisable HUD is probably my most wished for improvement to GT Sport. Maybe one day!

On that note the rear view for the Megane Trophy when using roofcam is appalling. All you can see is the rear spoiler, and then slightly above that the race timer obscures any hope of seeing the cars behind you

This is the one I learned the most from.

From the hairpin to the finish line I touch the brake pedal two, sometimes three times.

Another day and another Race C, this time I went for the AMG Merc!

Improved my qualy time from a 1:46.3 in the 'Vette, to a 46.1......Started 4th on the grid...........

Some great battles through the field, and non stopped again, and ran lean around the whole lap, apart from the start finish straight, where It was full beans on mix 1, the Merc seems more fuel efficient than the 'Vette did.

I'm having so much fun in this week's Race C, I'm not usually a GT3 fan, but this is some great racing I'm having! :D

Q race A : P2 in Germany atm ... undeserved  !

@sturk0167
I think EMEA P1 copied Asia P1 in the meantime :) ...

Edit for a sidenote :
The WW leaderboard kind of looks like the old GT Academy charts - so many drivers separated only by a thousandth of a second. Haven't seen this in a while.

Back after a busy month! Been working hard in my college degree but still managed to race every week, just wasn´t able to allow some time to write here. Did Gr4 at Willow and Gr3 at Kyoto where I took some podiums. Willow hurted my SR due to some cars crashing in front of me or spining in the dirt and getting back to the track sideways and right into traffic. The Kyoto week was a hard racing one, some rubbing and my SR got down to 79. Managed to do 2 race C last night without stopping and finishing 3rd and 2nd driving the AMG (started 2nd and 4th) Now SR back to 99 and DR 24971

Gonna try to hit DR A this week

Well, I decided to have a go last night in qual with the 911.
It was a rare moment of ocd on qual. 32 laps later I am sitting sub 47...This car is the only one I have crashed this week in qual...I had several spins, and general wtf moments.
Today I hop in and maybe the fifth lap I turn a 46.3. I can see on the replay where I am late on the steeringin several places, but for the most part I drove it how I wanted. I’m quite happy with it actually...Since I won’t race this car I will have to see what I can do with vette or AMG.
It’s so different to me trying to get a time with what I would call more of a handling car...For me it takes so much more mental effort, I dunno, they are just not my cup of tea...
So, for the folks who hate tcs and all I ran that with tcs 3 bb 0 abs weak, and to add insult to injury I don’t use my left foot. Optimal is down into the 45, but it’s just so difficult, I see what I need to do, but just can’t seem to find the coordination. I dunno how I would break fifty if I had to use my left to brake...No feel or sensitivity. That 911 is a fine car, but not something I would personally bring into sport mode...
It’s just so happened I’ve had some extra time. The funny thing is now I need to find that pace in a car like the vette that’s actually stable and powerful enough for my taste in country...

I find the secret to getting them to turn in is to move the engine forward a couple of feet to where it's supposed to be :)

I was thinking about that today actually, I’ve spent a LOT of time in MR cars over the past couple of months, so I was thinking that maybe it’s time to start giving the FR’s some love. :)

Also, general question. Is the 4C a Q car only at Monotonous or is it good for racing too? I think I’m gonna do some races tonight. :)

There are 4C's in every race, but more Mégane. A few FR also, often really fast, but accident prone.

I raise you .017 secs!

We're on the same page...
What's your DR? Will look for you in game.

I drive a lot of FR. I find them generally a little more sturdy than the MR cars. Really lets me commit to divebombing you from two car lengths ba- I mean, late moves...

4C seems pretty handy to me. Can't see it going too wrong for you.

2 tries at Suzuka today. Both super fun and intense. Saw a few GT planet people out there.

QT 1:04.501 (still last on friends list by .5 ). Started 4th then 6th. Moved up 1 spot in both. Clean but no bonus for the 2nd race. Nice +DR for placing 3rd and 5th.

Just saw @O604 at race A. He beat me. Good job. 👍
Didn't beat you. You beat yourself. :p

Seriously though, I did not envy you in pole (but what a time! You're #1 on my friends list now). You were perfect until the end. Unfortunately so were 5 other drivers.

Stuck with race C.

On the plus side I almost remembered Catalunya again and I had forgot how great the 911 is to drive.

On the poo side I learned that the struggle is indeed real as every single race this week has been a **** show of epic proportions.

One is going to admit defeat this week before one's knickers get too twisted and one's thrustmaster gets lobbed through one's televsion.

Looking forward to next week tho!
