Next one on my list is Mr MAXPOWER!!! ;)

I just had 2 races at C, the first was this on lap 1.....

Down to last again, but I pushed all the way to recover something.....Pitted for tyres and juice, and nabbed 9th, better than nothing for being with my new "A" Team Friends, a tough bunch to get ahead of! :D

Apt after the second race I just had, a cracker....Video will be coming in a bit!

Cheers everyone for the friend requests, all accepted! ;)

Last night, I entered a C race in the Huracan. There was only 11 of us.

Out of all of us, only 2 of us (me + someone in the NSX) went for the no-stop.

At the start, I was using a bit more fuel, so I had to adjust the fuel map. 3rd place passed me, so I was able to get that slipstream from him until he pit. 1st place also pitted. Eventually, the guy in the NSX passed me and went on to win.

... I should try the NSX.

Matchmaking after midnight is odd. Still, I do appreciate the warm up session, PD.

Translated to a near 14 second lead at the finish line.

The next one was . . interesting?

Started 7th, with @Leftcurl in 9th. Could have been a very good race with the two of us. But, he clipped a barrier, and then got assaulted by a few Spanish dudes.

This happened at the end of lap 1.

Followed by an overtake into the chicane, later in the race.

Final result?

Could easily have been a podium, if the incident hadn't happened. But, another top 5 finish towards my 50% goal.

Yeah, I really suck at that race. I won't be doing it again. I hate fuel-saving races. I like DT Gardens much more. I'm on to race A, now. 👍

I wasn't minding the races as much as I decided I was going to spend the time trying to get to grips with using Manual and after the disaster plunge of SR I've been spending the week driving up through the back working on shifting properly and managing the whole thing. A bit annoying for me with the fuel saving issue as I basically have to never see the rev counter but it's been good practice. And down in my lobbies most of the field pits or gets punted so if I can keep it smooth I'm still finishing top 10ish and getting good practice.

I have noticed that the car seems to brake better with the manual on and I'm able to work the gears to control and stop slides more as I'm using as little TCS as possible. Trying to practice a bit better driving and get more control. Anyone else notice this?

If the update comes out before Sunday night, most likely
NAh, it's Tuesday.

I did buy a number of N200 cars. Could be anything from an Alfa 4C to Toyota MR2 GT-S.

Edit: I am waiting to see about the NAtions race. I'm currently 4th, on the time sheet, in the SF-R Concept race car. I'll probably use a standard N300 car(RX-7 or 3000GT). Tuning up the S2000, is an option. :)

My second race of the evening in C, and what a race!!!

Started 6th, got lucky at the "Chicane of Death" on lap 1, and just pushed the whole race! A long video, but if you enjoy lots of battling, and overtaking, give yourself 14 minutes, and enjoy!! ;)

So 4th at the end, but it might as well have been a win, chuffed with it, so much fun fighting through the field!

I'll be on for the "after midnight" fun tomorrow, Friday....See you then!

You definitely have more control using manual trans. Your car won't bog down with the ability to downshift on demand. Not to mention being able to rev out your tach when needed. Now about that TCS. Ween yourself off of that and you should see your times drop.

After midnight is the best time for me to race.

Same here. Usually when I try to race in primetime on an off day it doesn't turn out well. I guess the crash kiddies are done their homework by then and are looking to cause chaos before bedtime. Maybe I'll see on track on my SpeedKing account. Hell the way matchmaking works I could just as well see you on my A/S one also. I'll give a shout out if I see you.

Damn we really need fuel mixture showing simultaneously with radar. Trying to defend clean in race C is hard as you loose radar everytime you change mixture. Messed up few good races of mine.:indiff:

This is why I short shift. It's too confusing stuffing around with fuel mapping in the middle of a race *and* trying to get back to the all important radar.

I took a break from racing and watched Joe Dirt. I remembered where I got my pre-race greeting from.balls to the wall

It was also used in Up Periscope :p.

Race C getting a bit silly now as half the field no-stop the NSX ..... booooooring. Had a few messy races yesterday, just didn't get in the right groove but managed to hang in there in the race below and make a late charge. Action begins 13.30 for those with short attention spans.

Credit to the Ferrari driver for the entire first half of the race, I was a bit messy and he was solid.

As much as I was enjoying running the no stop in the Honda, I think I need to try something different on Sunday.

The no stop strategy is definitely faster. So, I'm turning to you guys. Which cars (other than the Lexus, Jag, or Huracán) can do the no stop while managing mid 48s - mid 49s?

I saw someone do it in the Veyron, which surprised me. They won in 18:16. The 458 might be worth a shot (I haven't tried it). The Porsche can do it pretty easily if you fancy a change.
