Well:

Race A N200 Fuji Short

Race B Gr.3 Sardegna BII

Race C Gr.2 Autopolis

I'm very surprised by how you guys are reacting to the fact that we're not racing at a wet Red Bull Ring next week...

Was expecting a massive outcry... Guess not many spent time trying to get to grips with driving in the wet like I did...

Anyway, I'll try to have fun with Gr2...

I've always driven the Lexus, but the Nissan has always been the most popular choice, is there an advantage the Nissan has over the Lexus that I might not be aware of?

The Nissan seems to be slightly easier to drive overall, and slightly easier on the tyres.

I do prefer the Lexus, though.

I've just spent an hour racing in the wet, with the Gr.3 Atenza. Staring from 20th Rolling Start. I got up to 14th after 5 10 minute races.

It is what it is. We get a wet Race A, B or C. Or not. Doesn't bother me.

Well:

Race A N200 Fuji Short

Race B Gr.3 Sardegna BII

Race C Gr.2 Autopolis

My space adventure continues. Race B for a little break between visiting planets, but not really a race I want to set my teeth in.

No rain... Why not GR.2 on RBR wet, that race is actually fun in GT League. PD sure is great at the art of tease and denial. From hoping for Spa wet to dry Turnopolis

I’m good with no rain, they can keep it!

Yes I do, have done for a while. It works fine most of the time, only glitching for a second or two at its worst, and that's at Full HD on high frame rate. But my router died recently and was replaced so I'm on a new network, which I didn't think much of at the time. But then Remote Play started glitching and losing the image for several seconds at a time, and jumping through all of the resolutions available, or just disconnecting altogether. Sometimes it would look like I was racing in the original Gran Turismo, the image was so pixelated.

The problem is my old router produced two seperate networks for each frequency - 2.4ghz for b/g/n and 5ghz for AC, but the new one just produces a single network and manages the bands automatically, on top of the Playstation choosing the frequency automatically at its end of the connection. Apparently you have to go into Network Setup on the PS4, choose Wifi as if you were going to create a new connection, and then there's an option to press the 'Option' button on the controller to bring up a menu of options, the single option available being to alter which frequency the wifi connects with. I do wonder about Sony's UI design sometimes....

A friendly PSA people:

Hard wire your PS4's

You always get 4 green bars and never get dropped, nor do you ever have to worry you're the person hopping around on the screen.

This is high speed racing in 4K graphics. This isn't checkers in the old Yahoo! game rooms 1999.

I for one, am very disappointed. I was looking forward to, and expecting rain. :grumpy:
I can't believe they would add something like that and not feature it, the next chance they get.

I guess they're pretty proud of themselves anyways, because they managed to shove two more Japanese tracks down our throats again.
So biased.

Race A better be one of the new cars. Hopefully S2000.

Picked the AMG today and did a 1:30:097 after 4 laps... But then wasn't able to keep improving. Whenever the first sector was good, I would screw the lap later on. :banghead:

I think my age is starting to reflect on my ability to put in top10 times as before. I'll try again tomorrow.

I'll be moving countries next week and I won't bring my setup so this is my last chance at getting a top10 until I get a new setup sometime next year, possibilly.

It's taken me an age to get down to a 1:30.6

What I don't get is how I lose 0.3s in the last sector! Regardless of how I take that last corner and how well I drive out I can't find that 0.3s. I'm also losing a similar amount in S1, primarily due to not getting the drive off T1. This is using a DS4.

That’s super interesting. I guess that’s a good validation of the performance of Remote Play.

Connection wise; I also ran into a lot of connection issues with my PS4 on WiFi. Whenever it renewed its DHCP lease, around 9pm, it would drop the connection. Switching it to a hard wire fixed the issue.

cries in 1:31.9

I'm trying to build up my DR, not throw it (along with my SR) down a cliff.
I don't think many of us are ready for a daily race like that.

Create a rain racing account. 👍

That’s kinda funny, but it’s also the answer!

The day we get a wet Daily, is the day I start losing DR/SR on my Y_Dyn_Barfog account

First off. You're nuts.

2nd, sure they have added things and forgotten them. *coughs* St. Croix *coughs*

3rd, you know Race A is the Samba bus.

4th I'm really in the mood for Brands Hatch again. Also, Dragon Trails Gardens would be nice.

You know what we haven't had in awhile? One of the infield setups at Blue Moon.

Yeah, I'd like to hit one of those B infields. Had fun racing there.

Why is it always Japan? I hate fuji, absolutely hate the first and last turns, but there it is every other week, alternating with suzuka. Where are the rest of the tracks for racing? Hell, a 15 lapper on northern isle for race A would be ugly but at least a real change. Not sure what to do this week. Hmmmmmmm

A winged demon descended and made my race hell. Punted me wide to pass, the couple of times I tried to pass clean they just kept smashing into me to keep me from passing. At the end I snapped and made sure they didn't finish high, damn the penalties involved.

Watching that video, I would have punted him earlier. The inconsistent drivers (likely young children who don't know anything about driving a real car) should know when they are having trouble handling the car & not block others. Kind of like the guy I (no pun intended) ran into on Tuesday.

Well:

Race A N200 Fuji Short

Race B Gr.3 Sardegna BII

Race C Gr.2 Autopolis

A) Not interested.
B) I enjoyed that the last time it came around
C) As if bad drivers didn't ruin Gr. 4 a couple of weeks ago, but I'll try it once since I like Gr. 2.

Yeah, same about Race B. I'm using the rationale, that Mazda don't make a Gr.2 car. So, I won't feel bad not racing at one of my favorite tracks. :sly:

I'm a bit surprised that PD hasn't put in some sort of RX-7 into Gr. 2 yet. We've had them in various forms (LM edition/GT 2, Touring Car/GT 5 & 6), so why no screaming Dorito yet? I love the FD & even if I never won a race in it, I'd rock it in Gr. 2.

Well, looks like I'll be figuring out how the hell to get around Autopolis.

That, or it'll be another week on the Canadian account, at Sardegna.

I remember the last time I did Gr. 2 at Autopolis. If I would have saved the replays, it would have created nightmares. But, I had less experience & fewer victories back then. :sly:

Glad to see the return of Gr. 2 but I seem to remember Autopolis makes Autopolis a real challenge to overtake.

Big fan of the Sardegna tracks so looking forward to that.

Fixed it for ya.

I do prefer the Lexus, though.

If the Nissan is easier on tires, I'd hate to see how badly I'd murder tires in any other car.

Did some practice for Race B this week.

Hope you all don't take your SR seriously. That track has orange SR written all over it.

A lot of racers are going to be sticking their noses into corners and getting bounced.

It wasn't all doom & gloom for me the last time that combo came up. I'm looking forward to it.

Thing is, plenty of trips to the PZ. At the exit of those hairpins are gravel traps. Pint someone off and it's guaranteed 5 seconds. I could see someone getting 10 seconds per lap.

How about that? I do thnot Catalunya Circuit Experience and get the '08 GT-R GT500.

As for the Sunday Morning race with friends I slapped Michelins on the Gr.3 Atenza. Went pretty good(even without tyre wear :D).
I'll run on those for the week.
I'll fit them to an SLS GT3 that I received in DWG.

The Super GT comes standard with Bridgestones. I'll switch over to Michelins as well.

I know tyre brands have nothing to do with tyre performance, in this game(maybe it does in due course, after next month's update). :)
