Ok I’m done with it now, no more rain for a long time hopefully.

Edit: Video, had to use the replay because the original didn’t save for some reason? The Chase cam view is after the Bumper view. :)

I drove both my Holden Dealer Team Mustang and M4 so far and during the race it was like driving on glass .

Why is Race B being dominated by FF cars?

I think that is how PD wants it. The FF cars seem to be given a better power to weight ratio & they catch FR cars on the straights. I can't stand FF, so I suffer or make them overdrive a corner.

Try changing the tyres in the garage menu before entering the race session. I think cars I've tried with full wets still have the full wets on them next time I try them, whereas the default seems to be inters.

Yeah it remembers that. That's how I ended up with heavy wets on Brand's hatch last week

The NSX is smooth in the rain. But it lacks acceleration, at least with TCS at 2. Still good enough to come close to my Huracan lap times, still not under. I can push it a bit further in the fast turns, yet so many more cars to try!

I am running my BB 3 to front. I think @Mistah_MCA has em 2 to rear. The car felt less stable to me and i had already been running with my settings, so i stuck with them. No tcs or any other aids and manual tranny. Go ghost hunting if your not finding the flow and/or watch mistah's lap guide if you haven't already. Not sure what else i can say...

Mister MCA also uses brake indicator. Not the best guy to learn from if I'm being honest.

Well, completed my first and only Tokyo race in the rain. Ended up in 16th place only because two people just quit. Was 50s behind 15th place and 1:54s behind the leader. Was given 15s of penalties for wall taps. One was even a double penalty for a reason I'm not even sure of. Hit the wall and got the 5s and then as I was driving away PD decided that wasn't enough so slapped another 5s on there for good measure. Needless to say I'm never driving around Tokyo in the rain again.

This week's races aren't really meshing well with me. Bathurst is filled with FF cars which I truly don't enjoy. And on top of all the previous I have been getting put into A/A+ lobbies which has guaranteed me a bottom 3 finish every time.

Will probably just sit out Sport Mode until next week.

that was me just then that said I would have won if you hadn’t been in my way

You would've. Dirty air or something like that
No idea what was happening in your group, the leaderboard was different every time I looked at it and the gap kept going up by 4 seconds at the hairpin. I assume a mild war had broken out.

I drove the Jaguar F-Type for 2 races, getting about the same lap times as the NSX, however it's much easier driving the NSX. I did get one of the cleanest first laps in the Jaguar, thanks to NithProxy being able to keep his car under control as well.

Side by side through the twisty bits, fun.

I'm currently trying the Ford GT before there's nothing else in the race than Ford GTs... 6 of them in the last one. Yep it's stable and fast, got under 2:15 on the first try. Ford GTs have been winning the last couple races. Next race, top 4, all Ford GT with a McLaren BMW in 5th. I'm comfy starting in 16th.

Mister MCA also uses brake indicator. Not the best guy to learn from if I'm being honest.
Yeah, that Mister MCA guy is a bad guy to learn from.
However, I think Mistah_MCA is a good guy to learn from.

But seriously, who gives a darn about a blinking word. I don't even use it anymore lmao. There is also this wonderful thing called ignoring the indicator, because that's what I did. :D

Ford GT is the meta now for a reason, very stable, quick. Look what does exist on Tokyo in the rain :)

Finally a clean race bonus, from the back to the front. Very easy to handle car in the wet, just remember to brake on time.

While I'm celebrating my best lap with the Ford at 2:14.257, there's an A+ starting on pole doing 2:12 laps in Ford, Viper, Ferrari, doesn't matter. Get a wheel and turn of TCS if you want to compete with that. I still haven't beaten my best lap in the Huracan, however that was with some double draft action, start and end of the lap.

On to the McLaren BMW, a less stable version of the Ford with worse brakes, but slightly better acceleration. With that I did already beat my best non draft lap in the Huracan, but haven't been able to repeat it yet. It's a slippery bugger in the wet. Next attempt starting on heavy wets instead of IM. Another lie from PD, you can change to heavy wets in the pits!

I saw @NosOsH, good driving with you. What an ugly race though. First I get a 4 sec penalty from a car unghosting inside my car after he bounced off the wall. The ghost intersecting apparently counted as contact as after he drove out of me he tapped a wall and I got 4 seconds penalty :banghead:

Then there's this dude that keeps bumping me from behind, bumped me into the wall at T1 with a dive 'pass' and on his 4th SR Down tap delivered me a 5 sec wall penalty. I slowed him down good, he had no chance of bothering you anymore @NosOsH :) Down to SR.A for that, worth it, since he's not there in the SR.A lobby. Only way to get rid of these people.

The McLaren BMW is a serious contender for the Ford GT. Now I've got a handle on it, I got a faster lap in it that with the Ford. It's still a bit less stable but that extra acceleration makes it easier to catch the draft and launch forward. Another fastest lap and second place finish despite this:

PD, just give me a penalty for entering the race, I know you want to.

Couple of days out doing real world **** and what a shock to the system these combos are.

Race C is weird. There isn't a wet line, it's the dry line but with less grip. The drop off in coefficient of friction in the final hairpin is hilarious. It's like ice 3 yards off line. I've not braved a race yet until I use my primary account to learn the circuit and get consistent.

I've done some laps in A and finding the rear end difficult to keep planted. In the 1:04s but can't match the top guys' corner exits. B is a known quantity but not much of a circuit for making a run from the back, especially in such a short race.
I had an idea. What if in the next game if dynamic day/night/weather returns, and like that iOS Street Kart Racing game, the courses had day/night settings reflecting the actual time of day in that part of the world? Like if you were racing from North America in the afternoon, and the race was at Monza or something, it’d be sunset. On top of this, if the Daily Race format returns, and with a Race A/B/C format, each race could be at a track set in Americas, EMEA, and Asia/Oceania.

At a given moment, you may have something like Blue Moon Bay/Catalunya/Mt. Panorama, Sardegna/Big Willow/Suzuka, or Tokyo Expressway/Nurburgring/Interlagos.
The only problem with that is that some of us would never get to run a lot of the courses, because it would be night on all EMEA tracks when I race.

I just had a few quick races at Tokyo. My Q time of 2:11.7 has moved down to 5th in NA. We know have some 2:10s on the board. My goal this week is to see if I can reduce my overall best time from a high 18:54 to a sub 18:50.

I still think the Viper is a well rounded car for this race. There was a strong showing out front tonight from 911s and the blistering speed of the McLaren F1.

Overall, very fun combo. I’m hoping we get the other Tokyo layouts in wet conditions soon.

The danger noodle is finally relevant for now. :D
I'm sitting at 2:11.9. If I can get it to .5 by the end of the week, I will sleep a happy man.

Just because it's on the screen does not mean you are using it. I had no ide it will turn off, so just ignore it
I ignored that indicator for quite a while. I even turned it off a while ago (unless if he's talking about the recommended gear flashing. That one, I don't know how to turn off).
