You can't put that livery on a Mustang! Take it off before all hell breaks loose!

Mwahahaha! That's the idea Mr 015 ;). If you are upset because you are a Holden fan, then I truly apologise for this abomination. If however you are upset because you are a Ford fan.... suffer in ya jocks!

Sacrilege. Any Holden logo on a Ford (or anything else) could start a civil war. But, since there was a Marlboro Mustang, you would only need to strike the HDT logos off. :D

You are just upset because I found a way of making a POS Ford go faster. Suffer in ya jocks! :p

Good thing there is no real damage in this game or the Mustang would break down all the time because it would think it was a Holden

Our homie @GOTMAXPOWER is famous! You're in the newest video from kie25 when you all battle with Mr. Fraga! :D

I think that was the first race I entered this week, I abandoned the Mercedes after 1 or 2 races because it didn't have the speed in a straightline. I had a good race against Igor later when we were both in Huracan's, I can hold my own against most people on race-craft but once he was past he could casually bang in 2:11s/2:12s and was gone .

Yeah, that Mister MCA guy is a bad guy to learn from.
However, I think Mistah_MCA is a good guy to learn from.

But seriously, who gives a darn about a blinking word. I don't even use it anymore lmao. There is also this wonderful thing called ignoring the indicator, because that's what I did. :D
I heard about that Mister MCA, I wouldn’t trust him, word on the street is that he kicks puppies when he’s not giving bad advice... :sly:

I'm sure I don't know what you mean? <innocentsmile>

Holy hell some people can't be helped. Just had a reversal night from last night. Had enough SR problems on the track anyway but got into some races with A rated drivers that hit everything in their way. And struggling to avoid people who are losing it in front of you is harder when you are getting rammed into it from behind. Going one more disaster to see how ugly it gets. Down 30 SR. 20 of those I last race with some out of control McLarens.

Edit: should have quit. Race went better, but still stuck with 2 drivers intent on staying 0.1 behind and blasting me I'd I so much as feather the gas. I get a penalty because 1 guy decided to not break for a chicane and punted me into the wall. Lap 7 he completely wiped out into the barrier head on and spins, no penalty, only loses 1 sec track time. WTF?

My DR is skyrocketing, but really pissed my SR looks tanked again. Definitely at the mercy of other drivers. Should have avoided those A/S races. Oh well. Another day and different matchmaking. At least I made a better showing to the guy I kept getting rammed into previous race. Had a good clean 2 laps back and forth with him so he knows I can be clean, at least before he left me in the dust.

Speaking of truckin', that just gave me an urge to go play American Truck Sim... :)

there are moments that you have to brake even before the signal.
Reminds me of this one specific turn in Sainte-Croix C, where you don't get the signal at all. If you rely on that to know when to stop... have fun kissing the wall, as the indicator never turns on.

Or this one specific turn at Sainte-Croix B where you get the signal but can go flat out.

I think once you go TCS 0 or anyway adjust TCS/BB, that signal is useless because it doesn't take in account these things. Having said that, I find even if you don't use it, it's a nice reminder, just in case :)

Having said that, I find even if you don't use it, it's a nice reminder, just in case :)

This for me. I've always had it on since I started playing and saw no reason to disable it even if I ignore it most of the time. It's on for piece of mind or in rare cases I zone out, the blinking is there to snap me out of it.

It's also nice if you haven't raced on a track in a while, it's a guide to remind you where braking zones are even if they're not 100% accurate.

Think they will ever do a Race B sprint with someone other than RH tires?

There were Race Bs before with Mediums. Started the second from last time Red Bull Ring was used and several others after until PD decided to switch back to Hards. I can't say racing on Hards has ever bothered me but I'd welcome a change to Softs or Mediums again.

First off...before I start today's rant...I'll say that Daily B was great fun last night. Generally clean driving. Some very pushy Spanish that I had to concede places to at times rather than be run off the track. They could have been much dirtier races if I'd decided to give as good as I got. Generally once drivers like that pass me they do annoy the next car and get shoved off pretty soon so I rarely lost the place for long. In fact, you nearly always make up 2 places by letting fools get by because the next car gets annoyed, shoves the idiot off so solves the idiot issue and picks up a penalty for the job. Other than that though it was tight racing, everyone knowing what line to be on, a tiny error on any given corner has you lose a draft or have someone up your tail. Proper stuff!

Anyhoo...I should know better than to start the whole topic of points for races again because even if someone answers (hi @Sven Jurgens ) I still won't understand the answer.

Compare 2 races (I'm DR B / SR S):

1: Lobby is full DR B / SR S. Start 5th, finish 6th, get 6 or 700 points (can't recall the exact but in that region). Happy enough to drop a place, not finish in top 5 and still gain DR but was a bit surprised.

2: Lobby is DR S-A-B / SR S. Start 11th, finish 7th with 3 DR A behind me. Get little or no points - was 21,800 (not sure of exact) and finished with 21,800 (not sure of exact) so can't recall if I gained or lost 10 or 20 points.

Now, one race everyone was DR B and I lost a place. The other I beat DR A and gained 4 places. Both races finished only 1 place apart and neither in top 5. It does not add up to me that I'd gain points for beating other DR B drivers but not for beating DR A, or that I'd gain points for losing a place but not for gaining 4.

Hi everyone, first post today but a long time lurker. Fun story, I discovered this site during the long wait of GT5 relesase and multiple delay.

So here I am, loving the game mainly because of the Daily Races and photos. I've been reading this tread for a while and decided to join the conversation.

Really enjoying the SuperBee this week. It's a beast to tame and I enjoy the challenge. The street car is where I shine compare to race car and last week was really good with two street car. Even if I'm sick and tired of Tsukuba, I still did a couple of races.

Tomorow I will be on Tokyo wet for shure. Rain looks so nice and pretty challenging.
Awesome to see you here, dewd!

Hello! I'm also a first-time poster here but not as much of a lurker. Been playing GT Sport for a while now, and today is the day I'll start competing in Sport Mode. Won't be attempting FIA until I'm at least DR-A since I've seen a few posts saying you don't get as many points.

The dailies look interesting this week. Probably gonna attempt Race A a lot of times today; gotta start that grind once more.

Anybody know what next week's races will be? Someone said Fuji. I like Fuji, haha! :D

Where did the DR/S finish? Ya have to remember the DR/S isn't the same as DR/A+. The driver could be DR/S but actually be a DR/C ranking points wise. If he beat you, you may have lost the points you gained from beating the DR/A to him.

Yeh, he finished in the top 5 so you may be right. The dirty 🤬!!!

happened to me last week at Brands. I only did 3 races and each race i gained between 2 and 4 places from mid pack and finished ahead of A rated (i'm B like you) and i lost between 50 and 150 DR in every race
I know there's a logical explanation in there somewhere but it's still a middle finger from me.

Down to a 15.3 now, you can use quite a bit more throttle around the fast corners than I initially thought you could.
High speed curves, lotsa downforce, good grip.

I'm sure I don't know what you mean? <innocentsmile>

That's just evil :D

Finally had a postive day of racing, two times on B, plus 3 places first time, plus 2 second time, DR and SR both up. Mustang working better for me than the Jaguar was yesterday. Those Meganes sure can accelerate out of a corner though :scared:

Does anyone have that formula for DR points awarded / lost? I forgot to save it last time it was posted.

Like @Invisigoth pointed out, in my case the SR S driver could have been an SR C in truth because of how the SR S grade is appointed. It's about the average scores so, for example, you may be 8th with 7 ahead, 2 of them A rated and the rest also B like yourself but all low level B so when the totals DR is added and divided by the number of finishers it may still be below your DR (or something like that --- see --- now I'm trying to make sense of it...sheesh) It is a kick in the tail to gain positions and then lose points but if you got points for every position gained you can only imagine how many (more) players would be dumping DR in order to start at the back.

Anyway, the racing was fun so I can handle the DR rise and fall. It depends on whether you race to enjoy the race for it's own sake or only for the sake of the points it awards I suppose. Like our friend last week that was racing pure and simple to get wins for the sake or wins (and trophies) rather than racing for the fun of the race regardless of other reward.

The only problem with that is that some of us would never get to run a lot of the courses, because it would be night on all EMEA tracks when I race.
This option should be added but only for lobbies and offline races. I would hate to drive on Bathurst in the night every time there's Bathurst in the daily (assuming there will still be daily races in the next GT, which I think they will).

Whoa, I think I met you 2 weeks ago in the Gr1 Le Mans daily. I have you as a friend too.

Just popped my cherry for the week on Daily C. Wow, it's chaotic for a couple of laps. I tried the Huracan but after the first few laps I was just lapping alone which kinda nullifies the benefits of any longer 6th gear for slipstreaming! Might have to buy a GT. You get almost a second of lap time for free just down to the straight line speed of the thing.

First race of the day was chaos thanks mostly due to one person. They must have though they were playing wreckfest from the way they were driving. Hope it gets better, i like this race and haven't had much opportunity to run it yet....

The first races I had on monday were super clean and gentlemanly. A lot of fun.

Yesterday I ran two races and the were utter chaos from the start. I elected to stay out of it for today.

The following three races have been decent. A few bumps, but not costly and due more to mistakes than intention.

I am really close to getting a better qt in between races, really tough to keep it perfect

Mountain in the shadow of light, rain in the valley below. Well you can say your Peter, say your Dick. Don't put me up on your bedroom wall. Caaaall meeeeeeee King of the Mountain! What a week so far. Race B has been my poison of choice.

I started off as I do every time Bathurst rolls around, with the HDT Mustang (suffer in ya jocks Ford fans :p). It was a slippery old ride compared to qually. I expected to be starting somewhere in the last few positions, but nope, P6. Welcome to Monday . Was the highest DR/D, was all DR/B ahead and a DR/A as the top non qualifier. Unfortunately I just couldn't get a handle on the beast... probably due to disgust . Finished P9 after screwing up the kink at the end of Conrod going two wide with the car I was next to on the bumper of the car in front of him. I was a bit of a passenger, but somehow managed to get it back on the track and slowed down before the entrance to the chase.. where I was summarily executed and found myself against the wall. I didn't get the number of the truck that hit me, but I assume it was a result of my unceremonious re-entry :scared:. Finished P9. Lost 4 SR and gained 200DR.

Next up with the HDT M4. I managed to improve my qualy time a hair (0.2s), and I found myself starting P3 on a grid of all DR/Ds... finally! I had an even harder time with the beemer compared to qualy. Couldn't get it to turn in as sharply, a lot more understeer :nervous:. Finishing the second lap I went wide at Murray's because I couldn't get it to turn, and P4 slipped past on the inside nice and clean (he'd been patient for the whole of lap 2). Finished P4. SR up to 99 again and DR up 844. Better finish, but I was very uncomfortable the whole race with the usually stable M4 squirming around like it had worms .

Tonight hallelujah! Went in in with Godzilla. Yeh, I know it's not an R32, but the commentators described it as "Godzilla has returned to the Mountain!". I took another 1.5s off my qualy time and was shocked to find myself on pole!!!! That's 7/763. I started well, managed to line up Hells for a good clean exit before anyone had a chance to ram me, and lead from start to finish. The guy in P2 was closing in on lap 1, but must have botched Murray's because the gap went up to 2s. After that I kept an eye on the gap every so often and it had stretched to 4s. I went into "ohcrpohcrapohcrap" mode and got conservative, saw the gap shrink to 2s, then back to 4. Missed out on a clean race bonus for tapping the wall on the final lap at Forrest Elbow. That cost me 1.5s, but I kept my cool... sort of, and finished a tad under 4s ahead. It wasn't the casual stroll it seemed, I was freaking out the whole race :scared:! Also got fastest lap . Sadly, the stars either hadn't appeared or had already disappeared :( :

SR Blue (no one to hit), DR went up 1.1k. Finally a few days above DR1 :D!.
