My experience from FH4, where all the ranked racing is like that, is that it's exactly where the A+ players would go, in that it gives a HUGE advantage to the people who've spent 4000 hours familiarising themselves with every last detail of every car and track combination.I've been saying for a long time that I'd love to have a race D, where you never know the track or car until you enter. Everyone gets to watch the roulette wheel spin, once the sign-up countdown ends.

Learning the track purely in sport mode races has cost me 9K DR bucks so far, down to 31.8K. Giving back to the community![]()
Those A+ guys would be in the minority. Especially if the starting order was random, too.My experience from FH4, where all the ranked racing is like that, is that it's exactly where the A+ players would go, in that it gives a HUGE advantage to the people who've spent 4000 hours familiarising themselves with every last detail of every car and track combination.
If any of you "start from the back" guys in the US/Canada fancy taking him on, Kie is starting race C from the back at the moment with his US account
Interestingly, I wear glasses, so he's probably interested in me.Give up! He will *never* notice you. He's more interested in the new girl.... you know...the popular one with glasses.
HEY NOW, Who are you calling crazy! I definitely do NOT go to bed at 4 A- I said that, didn't I?Have you considered what I do yet? I have a % of region best cut off that I have to reach before being "good enough" to race. As I've improved my racing so too the % has increased so a few months back 4 or 5% of region pole was OK. Then it was sub 4%. Currently it's between 1.5 and 3% with an optimum of 2.5%. Basically I can see what all the crazy folk who stay up 'till 4 am are getting (@Mistah_MCA) but I can only really judge by Q times with my own previous races. So, if your last 4 races you were at +2% of region best you'll know (+/- .5%) when you are ready to race St Croix.
BRAKE BRAKE BRAKE BRAKE BRAKE. I have it off. I wonder if I'll be faster with it on.Senpai loosely translated means 'use brake warning message'
Maybe.Who are you people, aliens?!![]()
Definitely. Same story goes for 2:07 on the B race. I'm at 2:08.1 now, and I think I've worn myself out for that race's TT.High 2:09s are possible, but haaard to get
Thanks! I was warming up the seat for Deafsun.Congratulations on having the fastest top 10 time in this weeks B race! I’m struggling to get out of the 2:14’s with the NSX. I loaded your replay for some pointers and there was no driver in the car. Funny! I switched to cockpit view in your Toyota and sure enough there was no one in there.
#4 now haha. It was fun while it lasted.#1 02:08.447 Mistah MCA
👍👍👍
Is Race C a no-stop Toyota TS050-fest?
haha! There must have been a glitch with my playstation this morning. I loaded three more top 10 "ghosts" after yours and they were literally that. No one in the drivers seat and in cockpit view the steering wheels weren't turning.Interestingly, I wear glasses, so he's probably interested in me.

Well, it IS October, so Casper is probably driving the car!

The TS050 dominates thanks to its hybrid boost. At Fuji, the R18 cannot even generate enough boost for one lap (that's why it's not meta in QTT, as is usually the case). The 919 doesn't run out over a lap; however, it does in the race (or so I've heard). That leaves the TS050, which is the worst out of the three on one lap pace but the best at regenerating its boost throughout a race. It also has better fuel economy than the other two. As for literally every other Gr.1 car, they lack the ridiculous acceleration that these three have, so they get killed on corner exits. How do you think Gr.1 could be potentially better-balanced? I.e. why do you suppose the TS050 dominates over the other Gr.1 hybrids? There's quite a few, between the other LMP1 cars and the VGTs.
My 2:13 is about 2 sec slower than pole in the lower Dr. Does the lower Dr in NA really run 4 seconds faster than me? I need to up my game I think...

Just add about 500 pounds to that sucker.Maybe a BoP change could slightly decrease the power of the TS050? Is boost affected by BoP changes, anyway?
But I think that'd just make it useless. The goal, I think, is to just make it not overpowered. So maybe a slight weight increase, but not over 200kg.Just add about 500 pounds to that sucker.
A lot of people just don't like the feel of front-wheel drive cars in any of the classes. And what about the GT-R LM Nismo? I wonder why people say it's so bad in GTS when it doesn't have to deal with the real-life drivetrain issues that it had?
Had a red SR too... First lap as p3, gets dive-bombed at the left after the bridge, then lap 2 a Hurracan Infront of me brakes hard in the esses before the bridge. Nowhere to go so I hit him, he hits the wall, I get 5. Same on lap 3. A total of 13 seconds. Finished p10.No, I'm still getting in the top lobbies, A+ and A. In NA when you are SR.S you usually get placed with the fastest guys if your DR is over 20K or even down to 1 in off hours. It's very unusual to see 5 A+ and the rest A at noon in NA, it's not even that likely at prime time. A+/S to D/S lobbies are the norm here. Between 7pm and 9pm (EST) 4pm to 6pm (PST) you have a decent chance of getting two lobbies in SR.S, A+ to B and B to D. There are only enough entries to make multiple SR.S lobbies when prime racing time from east and west coast overlap. 3 hour time difference doesn't help.
Ah my first red S on race B. I'm starting to gain positions, 7 last race, thus get bumped from behind by the fast in slow out crowd. That right turn after the bridge is the worst, take it so you can accelerate out instead of coast to avoid the wall... I need a new bumper.
Remember that the FIA races are just run by a very small percentage of the online racers.Wow, I was actually looking at past BoP updates, and it looks like they haven't done too many updates for Gr.1. Most of them only involve one car - one that's being added as DLC - and maybe a couple on rare occasions. It's interesting, though, in that it makes more sense to focus on Gr.3, Gr.4, and Gr.B since those series seem to be featured the most between the Nations Cup and Manufacturer Series, especially if you remove the one-make races from the Nations Cup. (Though I do think the Megane needs a little more weight added.)
