So, earlier before work after my two races the wheel gave me the Nissan R92 gr C? car.
I could sure use a livery of any theme, maybe something raw?
@Sven Jurgens
you were right about that dirty no qual idiot in that race.
In the first one late I had to slow to avoid the merc in front of me sliding out under pressure and coming across my bow, and that Citroen didn’t brake, clearly attempted a punt...he didn’t get by or knock me off but in the next race I was fully ready to punt. Luckily he was nowhere near.
Several good players admonished his overaggressive driving in chat as well.
Very competitive lobbies (in the 2 races I did)

3 races again for me this morning...... The first race was more of the same, started 8th in the 911 and non stopped to 4th, decent result again.

Then race two happened, and a case of being caught up in other people's crap again.... I started well down in 13th, and the guy in the red and white Merc was crazy, he'd already shoulder charged past me at Pouhon, and then as per the video, dived bombed 2 others on consecutive corners, before the chaos kicked off, stupid idiot!! Ended up 13th.

He then had the cheek to say we all crashed into him in the post race chat!

Decided to do another race, a I broke out the Hamster Shaguar for a change, and what do you know, 2nd by the flag!! Thirsty beast, but non stopped and ran mix 4 most of the time.... The tyres got bit marginal by lap 7, but just stroked the big cat home, chuffed with that!

The Shaguar  rofl

Looking forward to see you in a lobby one of these days. I had one other GTP'er in my last race. A dutchman but forgot the name.

I just got 6 SR for a clean race C. WTF?!

Must not be as clean as you think :/ I don't see anything wrong with it

Started at SR 69

SR 69 +2 3 x SR Down, once from getting punted
SR 80 +11 CRB minor side contact
SR 86 +6 1 SR Down, bumped twice without SR Down
SR 97 +11 CRB contact free

SR Down is -3, contact with the other car getting SR Down is -1

Oh, one of those guys. It's a great feat to overcome obstacles and rise above your circumstances. I think that is very commendable. We have a few of those here too, some of them also did Ranger School and Seal week.
But maybe this is just a different country's different mentally but in my world running with broken bones and failing organs when it's not a matter of life and death is not overcoming obstacles, it's stupid. Live to run another day I say.

I'm glad someone else was thinking it. I have no qualms with these mind over matter stories. Heck, I'm a big supporter of triumph over adversity and all of that. I do say fair play to the guy...

But I also say, come on now chap... You're just hurting yourself to make a point...

Can't fault his will power, though.

I got the CRBs in both races. 6 and 8 SR respectively.

Lol it would be good to race sometime mate!! Good to see you here enjoying the craziness that are the Daily Races! :D

And that Dutchman wasn't Max Verstappen, was it?

Any contact can still cost you SR. CRB stays active until you miss an SR up, either by going (too far) off track on your own account or getting SR Down on screen. In the past I've had the CRB with red SR from all the hits received during the race.

I had a clean race, blue SR at the end, SR went down by 4......?

Maybe you got disconnected in a previous race that wasn't finished yet when you started that one?
SR and DR aren't updated until that race is finished.

Well, after a few days away from the game, i needed a fix lol
Went to spa in the moostang to just run a few laps. I do seem to enjoy the track more than i remember from past games. Perhaps having the wheel now... Anyway after 5 laps i cut my best time from the other day by more than .4 still only a 2.21.565 but i think i could break a mid 20 with a good long session to learn the track.

Our pace is always so similar, i managed a 2.21.1 with the AMG, felt the lexus was the slightly better race car as it turns in a bit better and that helps as the tyres wear.

I'm working on the AMG too- I cut half a second off last night, but I'm still over 2:22. I nailed a no-lift Eau Rouge/Radillion once, the first time, and thought it was super easy. Haven't nailed it again since. :boggled: I always hit the bump in the middle and wind up far left.

I really really like using the Ferrari.

I finished a race in 18:58 just before heading out earlier and I had 6% fl left at the end. You don't need to mess around with the fuel map. I think with these cars (like the NSX and Huracan) you can kill two birds with one stone. If you down shift when the revs won't climb high, you will save gas and have more table handling because of reduced engine braking.

I think I will stick to it for the rest of the week.

I don't want that  I'll back off the accelerator a bit more :scared:

I can't blame you at all. I was almost always one of the slower room fillers starting near the back and stood no chance of a high finish. I'm nowhere near that level myself. I race more casually now and so far preferred that decision. More fun and less stressful.

A follow up to the discussion about not seeing Chinese players on the track. I just heard this on the news.
China has announced new measures aimed at curbing video game addiction. These are some of the new rules:

- Gamers aged under 18 will be banned from playing online games between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. On weekdays, minors can only play for 90 minutes, while they may play up to 3 hours per day on weekends and public holidays.
- Gamers aged between eight and 16 years old can only transfer up 200 yuan ($29) per month on their online accounts, while the maximum amount for those between 16 and 18 will be 400 yuan ($57).
- Chinese officials will also require everyone to register accounts for online games using their real name and phone number, which will help government entities to regulate playing time.
Pretty good ideas for dealing with some issues. Had a chinese player in my race last night. They set fastest lap and finishes top 3. So there are good players there. Although I am in mid B/S lobbies and getting schooled by plenty on spa right now.

It's faster to lift. Going flat means the car wobbles a bit and brushes off speed, a slight lift both on the way in (left) and in the middle (right) stabalises the car for full throttle out (left) and that has yielded my best times and my higher speed at the penalty line as a marker point. If i get it right i hit 252 or 253 in the Merc as i hit the yellow markers.

I find myself in a situation with some more time at my hands and it is put to good use. Soon it will be over and time will be reduced ;)

Spa really has been a great highlight for me and as said before. Been spending way way to much time on that track :scared:

So stoked about this win. I finished the race at just over 18:55. ViralOutbreak went for it and built almost 8 seconds lead before his pit stop. I was focused on my own pace. I had a suspicion that he might stop, but in either case, all I could do was try to maintain my lap times. He almost caught me at the end. So tense!!!

Spent a few (lot) races trying to figure out best utilisation of fuel (revs, basically) in the Huracan having seen @zavisic_ and Fraga using it. I can do consistent quick laps in a fuel saving mode in quali but there's a big difference to race dynamics which equates to about 1.5 seconds in a race lap when trying to mimic a practice lap. There's a lot of skill in judging where to burn fuel e.g. I'm too slow up Kemmel. I've not mastered it yet but really enjoying the challenge whilst trying to rebuild my SR up from the depths of B it dropped to yesterday no doubt at the expense of outright results. Spa certainly throws up a variety of different scenarios and eventful races. I need to sort a US account, too.

I'm wondering if my stubbornness to drive properly even if it is slower has helped limit my damage this week. Moved up pretty much every race at spa, even if it was only 1 spot, but noticed a lit of people having massive time loss at the bus stop. Rewatched one of the first races and someone reeled me in a lot each lap but I would pull away almost a full second each lap through there. Made a lot of time gains there as well, but not confident of attempting passes. Maybe the temptation to cheat was screwing up a lot of people since they never learned how to lap properly while cheating to get the fastest qualifying time.

I have to admit that I am enjoying spa but still don't get the fanboy status. Eau rouge complex is challenging but I don't think it is any more of a challenge than the chicanes at DTS.

EDIT: Friday what? It is Saturday now, catch up

The schools are out, I'm back in SR.A. That backfield is rough in the late afternoon. I'm retrying all the cars I stopped with early in the week to make a no stop best lap comparison. Then the ones again I did a no stop with since I didn't write the lap times down. Excuse to race even more!

Anyway I'm not that fast. Porsche and Citroen so far have gotten me the fastest laps. Mid 2:22 while evenly spreading fuel around.
